I would give a 5-star rating to this cinema. It was a very updated and modern aura inside. Their speakers were not too loud, and it was very clear. The air-conditioned is not too cold, just controllable. I love most of their seats. It was also very tidy, and the ushers were friendly. We love every time we are here! Thanks, guys!

I love that you can order food and drinks from your seat. The theatres are very spacious and clean. I enjoyed every bit of my visit.

I was in theater 22 on the top floor. Elevator did not work and the first two escalators did not work so no recourse other than climb. Concessions on the top 3 floors were all closed. This was a noon showing on Sunday.You pick your own seats when purchasing tickets, but if I had known the screen was small and off-center I would have selected differently. Seat was comfortable even for a film almost 3 hours in length.

This is a huge AMC theatre in a very busy and touristy neighborhood. They have an array of ticket kiosks and also staff by counter to help with the tickets. I picked a ticket for the Sonic movie right on time and headed upstairs. Don’t complain about the ticket cost when you are watching a movie in NY.There are long and tall escalators that lead from floor to floor that almost make you think you are in a shopping mall. You need to plan getting to your show on time, also keeping the escalator commute in mind ;)I got a mix of the cheddar cheese and apple flavored(try on your own peril) popcorn and entered a cinema hall that was huge and spacious. I was amazed to find so many screens inside one single theatre as I got to mine.Since it was almost ten days after the movie was released, there wasn’t much crowd. I cannot complain about the audio-video of the theatre and it was decent enough. But, there were a lot of seats that had their cushion torn and didn’t look good.The washrooms were in good condition and the exit was out through Dave and Busters.

Definitely a fun spot to go and see all the great movies. Youll have fun here. Family-Friendly-Fun. Everybody will have a good time. Lots of movie selections to choose from. I recommend going on Tuesdays. AMC Tuesdays, you can get the movie tickets for $5. (Actually $6 + tax, but thats still better than $16 a person on a regular day). If a big movie is coming out, get your tickets early. They have seat selection reservation to stop movie hoppers and seat hogs... Beyond that, the Nachos are good. They give you 2 cheese dipping sauces standard now. They have lots of candy here but thats very expensive. Sometimes it costs more than the movie tickets. So Id recommend eat chocolate candy outside before you go in there. Besides expensive candy, the floors are not always cleaned up after every movie viewing, so be careful of that. Rodents are running amuck in there. (But rodents are every where in this city, so what can you really do?) Other than that, youll have a great time here.

Simple theater with nothing special. It’s in Times Square which *can* be convenient for people meeting at, but it’s also in Times Square which is a rotten place to meet anyone. With assigned seating there’s more control with the patrons and ensuring that only ticketed guests are lingering.

This was the most Ill renovated... dankest... well lit while the movie was playing movie theater since the 80s... luckily the movie I saw was excellent so it took my mind of the negatives. Oh... the elevator and escalator is out... so if you have an issue walking up steep escalators... then this is not the place for you... as someone should have told the woman with the cane yesterday... I hope she finally made it...

They claim that the elevators are down for maintenance, but I see no sign that anyone is working on them. This has been true for something like a couple of months or more. And a couple of nights ago, the long escalator that carries people from the ground floor to the first theater floor was also not working. I am a 76 year old man, and climbing that escalator was enough to completely exhaust me.Update: At least the escalator to the 1st movie floor is working again, so I upped my rating to 3 stars. Also saw a great movie: Just Mercy.

I love going to this movie theater when I’m on this side of the city. On of my girlfriends bought me the stubs membership program. Can honestly say, its one of the best birthday gifts Ive gotten in a long time. I find myself mostly going weekly to the theater. They offer several perks, which include $5 tickets on Tuesdays. But if youre not a member , you can still cash in on amazing deals, like half price for movie tickets before 12pm. I find that the theater is spacious and very comfortable. It’s great for hanging out with family, friends or even with a date ;). They offer a high quality theater experience, so you feel like youre getting more than your moneys worth. The staffs are kind and always helpful. One thing that did turn me off on several occasions was that I had reserved my seat and ticket ahead of time and when I got there, someone was in my seat and was reluctant to move. But other than that, U highly recommend this theatre!!!!

This is why I always go to Kaufman instead of AMC. The place is huge! Which is great, but accessibility is not a priority here. If the elevators are down- then the freaking elevators are down and people in wheelchairs are escorted all the way to the back. My skin was also crawling when I entered the theater... The floors are similar to the street, I simply cant. Only reason I am giving this theater 3 stars is because their caramel popcorn was decent.

This is a beautiful cinema to see movies. With its perfect location, cool views and friendly environment, its a place I will surely recommend.I also love the taste of the popcorns, chickens and fries. You dont have to worry if you walk in hungry, theyve got you covered.

The movies are a plus but the place is in bad need of renovation. The outdated, dirty reserved seats are non-reclining and stiff -leaning way too far back- in comparison to the modern, cushioned Stadium Type seating at other movie theaters. The sound systems is also SUPER LOUD that one may have to bring ear plugs to survive its sonic assault... are the other 24 movie theaters the same? I dont think I want to find out.

This movie theater multiplex gets quite crowded, especially later in the day. Some of the movie showings are noisy. I would order my tickets well before the start time and give myself some extra time to get to my seat in time.They are located near The Port Authority bus station so it is convenient to all subway lines. There is little in the way of street parking but there are parking lots nearby.

Theatre #7 I was assign to watch sonic movie with my 3 individual and the seats and floor were horrible looking, pretty much like old school. Let me tell you probably Magic Johnson theatre would of been a better option in my opinion. First time ever experiencing theatre seats old looking peeling chairs and peeled floors. Common Guys upgrade each theatre section not just few.XXXX

Huge theater in the middle of Tim Sqaure. It’s spread out across multiple floors and is accessed by elevators or escalators. Tickets are sold with reserved seats which is awesome. The hallways and bathrooms are clean and well kept. They have added near screens with recliners like the Dolby or iMax cinema but the majority is very old screens with cloth stadium seating. AMC stubs is their loyalty program and it has multiple tries. The entry level tier is free to join and gets you points for each purchase as well as $6 standard movie tickets on Tuesday.

I have been to so many AMC theatres but by far this is the most impressive location wise.Programmatic is good and perfect for late night movie lover in Time Square.Customer service was really good.However, I was not impressed with the seats. They were dirty and old. Not very easy for romantic setting. The food also can be improved as well.Definitely I think the cleanliness of the theater can be improved and the seats need renovation.

Spacious, variety of theaters and selections, bathrooms on each floor, fountains on each floor, escalators or elevator options. I loved it, l recommend it to all movie lovers.Clean and fresh environment with machines on each floor to get or refill your drinks.Did l mention that they have ports and the stuff is super friendly if the ticket is confusing or you dont know your way

The Dolby Cinema here is truley a one of a kind experience and makes other theatres seem really lame. Its extremely advanced technologically and changes the whole movie viewing experience.

Great selection of movies. Relatively clean. Only thing to avoid to make things smoother is getting any hot snack. It can sometimes take a long while but if you just get popcorn/candy/soda youll be fine.

The Dolby experience is amazing. This is the best way to watch & listen to movies while lounging on your leather recliner seat. Its pricey so I recommend getting this experience for movies you really want to see.

Escalators, more than one and elevators not working! Amazing. Never back again!

You cant ask for any better at Times Square with such low prices of the tickets. They have different price ranges starting from $15 and it goes upto $20 for a 3D movie.Staff is welcoming, the place is clean and the seats are comfortable. Totally worth it!

Love the seats and environment. Great quality food too!! Wish they had reclinable seats though. But they make up for it with limited release and foreign movies that most others dont have! Staff can be kinda nosey. Ive been going here for about 20 years. NO BEDBUGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty standard movie theater! I would have given it 5 stars but it is always packed because of the location. Recommend going down to the AMC on 34th Street.

AMC Empire 25This theater is probably the best in this business.It has all the formats AMC has to offer. Whenever I’m in the city I always come here to watch a movieSpecifically in Dolby Cinema or IMAX With Lessor. That’s because there digital format does not have those Soft amazing red recliners seats. It has those hard regular seats which is hard and not comfortable at all. Also for some reason whenever I come here I always get lost. It’s really humongous.It’s AMC capital theaterIn all I would definitely recommend this place for the Dolby and the location.Hope this help your experience

The theater is definitely starting to show its age, but otherwise at the time was the nearest and easily accessible location. Some of the carpet has a smell of wet towel. The Dolby cinema had great black leather recliner seats that are spacious for a large person compare to the other regular theater rooms. Nacho cheese was good the staff has friendly they can be for a sunday morning. The only complaint i have is the soda machine, half doesnt work and the ones that does needs to be cleaned out. There was a odd taste with the cola.

There are many screens then normal so, you could find more movies to select from,that’s the only reason I tried this location as it might offer moves which are screening from more than a month. Seats are not that great, I would prefer recliners at other amc locations. You need to take 5-6 escalators to go to the theaters on the top floors and it’s frustrating going through those .

I was supposed to get a Pin for watching an advance screening of onward. There was no pin and the sit was terrible and torn apart. This was Auditorium 6. Very disappointed.

Really great movie theater! Right in the middle of the Crossroads of the World this theater is clean and modern. I would definitely recommend you watch movies here! Especially in IMAX which has very comfortable seats and a very large screen.

The quality just keeps going down (I didnt think they could even go any lower). They know they have a great location and will get crowds to come in. Now they are taking away anything that will make the experience pleasurable to save money. Cant decide which is worse, the experience at this theater or flying in basic economy on United.

One of the most convenient and perfectly located movie theaters, within the Times Square area.Which is also connected to multiple restaurants, such as Applebees and D&BsTherefore much to explore before or after the movie.

Over all great experience and great staff. The reason for the four star is because the rug inside theater 19 did have a weird smell (pee smell) and, if it was in the evening, I would somewhat understand but my movie started at 12:15pm. Shy of being morning. Also, although the seats are reclined, they were stationary and I found it quite uncomfortable. It would have been better if they were adjustable. Other than that, it was roomy and the temperature was just perfect. It was a good way to enjoy the rainy day in NYC.

Located right in the heart of times square, this theater seems like a cheap alternative to the other tourist attractions in the surroundings. Its really big, even sharing a space with Dave and Busters. So you can imagine all kinds of moviegoers who come here. Ive been here a couple times but its really one of my last picks. The theater is quite old and there seemed to be little security. Seats dont recline but I guess you can lean back pretty far? My friends seat was dirty though. Id rather go to Regal theater, the competitor across the street even if it costs more.

This place is at the heart of Times Square. Right on the 42nd Street, beside the Madame Tussauds building. It has around 25 movie auditoriums inside which play movies all round the clock.Cleanliness is one of the most highlighted feature of this place. It has a carpeted floor which is quite easy to walk upon. Moreover, it has enough restrooms for both men and women, I found a restroom for every 2-3 halls.One of the most important feature of this AMC is that it offers reserved seating. Hence you can walk in anytime with peace of mind and be confident that your preferred seat is reserved.I would recommend going here everytime you watch a movie since this is in the heart of Times Square and you also get a nice view of NYC.

$16.50 for a regular ticket (not even 3D or iMax)!!!! Huge theater in a very convenient location - right in the heart of Times Square. 4 stars because the place was pretty dirty. Also, one of the escalators and half of the freestyle coke machine were out of service. The movie we saw was a few weeks old so our theater was fairly empty which was nice. Friendly staff keeps the rating up from 3 stars.

As a New Yorker, you would typically want to avoid the Times Square area but this particular AMC probably has the most screens in Manhattan so its the most convenient in terms of frequent scheduling of films. However, at the going rate of movie tickets now, Id prefer a theater with better maintenance and cleanliness. You can tell the seats have a bit of wear and tear on them. When I last went to catch a movie, there was still popcorn on my seat and the surrounding area.

We go here for first time spend $150 on food, drinks, and tickets for 5 people. When we finally get up stairs to the theater for the show this is what we are greeted with. It was 10am. You telling me nobody could stay and pick up all this popcorn and other garbage. Not going to 42st ever again. Unless it to go across the street to the regal theater. I only thing I like is the soda mechanics are on my side and I could choose what I would like to drink. Refill as much as I want but we didnt too busy watching the movie. I give that 1 star. The food was a lot compared to all the theater I been to. So that gets a star.

Enjoyed the movie and the efficiency of the refreshment area. I used AMC Stubs VIP line and the transaction was smooth. The theater seats could use refreshing but the overall movie experience was very good.

Why arent the elevators working? There are individuals in walkers, canes & wheelchairs that dont have access to the elevators. Going up an escalator in a walker is a safety hazard.. in addition you will loose patrons because of no access to elevators. Otherwise I enjoy coming to this theater for Opera in hd.

Neither good nor bad, its average. It does not have the bells and whistles of new movie theaters, but it serves its purpose. For your typical movie going experience go here, if youre looking for a high-end experience then look elsewhere.

It is a good theater. Mostly for the imax and the 4xd but the other rooms have regular seats.

Not enough staff at concessions. I waited in two separate lines for 30 minutes just trying to get popcorn I paid for. Ended up just leaving without the popcorn because the movie had started.Dated theatre, seats are dirty and torn. Really the only good things I can say are that the movie ran smoothly, and its in Times Square.

Id watched my favorite movie - Weathering With You in here straight from January to February again and again.

No recliner seats but the theater is super accessible with tons of screens and lots of options, foreign flicks too. A sure fire spot to secure a showing. Sure it can get packed, with lots of different groups being rowdy, but the subway and Port Authority being right outside make it an easy outing.

Not the most clean or comfortable theater you can find in NYC (chairs are old and neck support minimal - I spent most of the movie propping up my head with my arm) but there is a nice old New York charm to the building exterior and arches inside. A cool detail probably of little relevance to a moviegoer: the escalator bottoms are transparent, so you can see the entire pulley system going around.

Seen star wars here. Nice cinema.

I’ve been here a few times to watch indie movies that aren’t available at my local theatres and it would’ve been a typical movie going experience except for the fact that they keep the sconces on the entire time. I prefer to enjoy my movies in pitch darkness but I guess this theatre doesn’t agree...

In the heart of Times Square, we went to see a Saturday morning showing of Jojo Rabbit. Two adult tickets were $16 and change, so the prices were quite reasonable. The movie had been out for some time, so that may be why the screening room for this film was on the top floor (6th, I think). My only complaint is that the seats were old, in bad repair and generally shabby. But we were able to enjoy the film regardless. Would visit again.

Good only for the volume of movie options...although the cleanliness of the theatres is usually good as well. But the concessions are a complete joke, so you should arrive a few minutes early if youre getting food or drink...yes, even if youre an A List member.

Very clean, plenty of showtimes. I prefer to come here than my local theater, Magic Johnson theatre. That place always smells like urine or something or other.

In the middle of Times Square, AMC Empire 25 is a great location to see a movie. The high escalators are a must for the actual theaters located up very very high. The concessions are a bit overpriced per usual ( it is NYC). Seating is comfortable. I have run into long lines getting in but not too much.

I visit regularly. Their hospitality is top. Great place to watch movies.

Listen, the truth is the place is a little bit of a mess - the escalators break, the food can take a little while to show up at their larger concession stand. Its a large scale time square venue. Its almost to be expected. All that said, they have tons of theaters, including great high tech surround sound leather recliner theaters, and the staff are so cool. Theyre always my favorite part. Theres two AMCs closer to my house, but unless they have a unique screening time I prefer, I opt to come here.Being in times square also makes for great people watching, so theres that.

I was surprised by the condition of the theater due to it being in a heavily tourist attraction area.The seats were ripped, the floors were dirty and it smelled bad. The only saving grace was the movie. It was the only reason I stayed. I will not return nor do I recommend this venue.

I like the location and the fact that its pretty big and clean. They actually have recliners chairs too in some of the theaters room. Be aware that is most likely busy with a line to purchase the tickets and/or your snacks but its cool..

Honestly, this is a really bad theater. Its in Times Square so getting there is usually a hassle. The ticket desk was very disorganized; I had to wait five minutes for an employee to let me buy a ticket.Food and other concessions are hard to come by because lines get long (due to the concessions employees taking forever to take/finish an order). In my experience, concessions employees are also pretty rude.The individual theaters are set up on multiple floors, so if you are unlucky, youll be going up three slow escalators to get to your seat. And, again because the location is in Times Square, there are mice everywhere. Theres a Regal theater right across the street. Just go to that one.

Great location and decor inside. However, really needs better, more modern seating. Remodeling the seating would greatly enhance the theater going experience at this location. In addition, staff needs more traning in customer care and services provided by AMC.

Please be cautious at this movie theater and all public theaters in general. Went to see the film Parasite yesterday and how fitting, I was bitten by a bed bug! I found it very strange that my wrist had suddenly gotten red and itchy as the movie was nearing its end. I had my friend search my clothing once in the light and sure enough I found the bed bug alive! Very scary to think if I did not find it, I could have taken it home. Staff handled the situation respectably by filling out an incident report, offering a refund, etc. However this situation has shown me to be super careful, hoping AMC 25 fixes this issue!Side note: I was seated in theater 3, ROW E, seat 11 (My friend was in 12)Be careful people of NY!

The theatre has good sizes but the have the volume too loud, they have to improve the cleanliness

This is excellent theatre with a wide range of films from mainstream to indie and even foreign language films. The staff is top notch. The four star review is because of non functional elevator.

For one of the largest theaters in the heart of Manhattan, this is the quality of seating? Worn metal handles, flattened seat cushioning, and on this particular day, there is no carbonated drinks in the building, so I paid $15.39 for a large popcorn and large cup of water. I shouldve stuck to Queens theaters.

Love this theater. Pay in advance for tickets, reserve a seat, and you can kick back and relax with your feet up. Great date spot.

I dont know whose idea it was to have a NYE party at this place and I don’t know how long this has been going on but this was an awesome place to bring in the new year! 125 plus tax and it was open bar, a good meal and an awesome party. Plus it was a good place to hide until going onto their balcony to see that teeny tiny ball drop. The ball drop and concert etc that nyc does every year was a disappointment but this party I went to last minute save the night, skipped the crowds, road closures and rain!

I am shocked at the condition of this theater. Upon entering the first thing I noticed was the putrid smell. Next the ticket machine wouldn’t print, then the insanely long line for concessions, next the escalator being broken which has apparently been this way for months. If it wasn’t for my kids being so excited for their movie I would have left long before seeing the seats. Every seat is stained and ripped open so the foam underneath is exposed. I will never return to this location.

Went to watch It: Chapter Two. Very clean and nice theater. Friendly staff and guest service. Their Dolby Cinema picture is stunning and signature reclining seats are one of the best Ive ever experienced

It can be a little frustrating because there are the ticket booths are all automated touch screens but the staff is friendly and will accommodate you should you need help with anything. No stairs but thats a personal nitpick because I have a problem with escalators and heights and the main elevators are currently out of order. But they did provide me with access to an alternate elevator because of my fear.

Average theatre. Lots of escalators to go up. Needs more spacious bathrooms. Given it is so the heart of time square it is convenient and nice.

It is very good to have such a big cinema in this busy area, and it is Convenient transportation. A lot of subway and bus set a near stop. Most of popular movie can be found showtime here, even the Chinese movie. Also, they have a classical designed ha The only thing I am not satisfied is that they dont have reclined seat, i think it because there are a lot of audience often, but you can enjoy a bigger screen. So, which would you like better is the last question before you go,reclined seat or bigger screen?

Very large complex with big theatres. Decent seats. Many bathrooms available throughout. From time to time the escalators are not working and the bathrooms are out of toilet paper at busy times.

Movie heaven especially when you purchase the AMC pass mind you I highly recommend for any and all movie goers because 3 free movies a week and around 24$ a month its worth it. Not to mention you get the best movie theater to watch them on be it Prime, Dolby, IMAX, etc. Chairs are recliners nothing but comfort.

Havent been here in years. Now that Im used to reclining chairs at different AMC, its whack to sit in a regular chair. Had to take 20 escalators to get to the theater.

Some of the seats are worn out with foam coming out of them. Went to a 7pm show on a Saturday: the popcorn was quite stale and all the butter machines on our level were out. Movie and soda were good though.

It was good.. but they have to remove the small screen protector thats on the small division walls.. if u lay down on your seat the little screen wont let you watch the movie

Took the kids to see Jurassic World and there was no lines for the concession standsAmen! The service was fast and friendly! I ordered my tix off fandango and was able to pick them up at the station booth with the code they email to you. After the movies we took pics!

The seats are plain nasty,the escalators don’t work and I sat through 45+ minutes of trailers after showtime before the movie started. Terrible. Also very small screen size. Better off going somewhere else like Kaufman in Queens.

Disgusting! I went to see a movie at this location and I had to stand the uncomfortable feeling that a bug will fly on my clothes or drink. They really need to improve their cleaning maintenance.

This place is horrible Im thankful that I got to buy my tickets from a kiosk. Service was bad, the pretzel bites were horrendous an seating was atrocious! When purchasing tickets you get to choose where you want to sit in the theatre. Yet when you get to your seat theres a guys refusing to move an no one to help or enforce these rules. I will never step foot inside this disgraceful AMC again!

Everytime I go there, the theaters smell like mold and mildew the seat covers are dirty and need to be changed, the arm rest or seat is broken and the elevator hasnt been working in months. This theater makes more than enough money to make improvements that are desperately needed and since it is on the thoroughfare, they really need to up the ante and try to make New York City look good.... after all, first impressions last! Get it together AMC 25!

Absolutely filthy, I would expect better because its Times square, but then I dont expect better because its Times square(New Yorkers should get that). At almost $17 for a standard ticket, the seats shouldnt be ripped, and the floors should be cleaned. Cineapolis wasnt playing my movie, theyre usually my go to theater.

A lot of disruptive non-ticket holders in theater and staff did NOTHING to mediate the situation. I incurred service fees on top of standard ticket prices, in attempts to have a seamless experience and for my convenience, but it was all in vain and a waste of money, due to the lack of security and order by AMC and its staff. Id never recommend or revisit this location.

Idk whats happening here but the screen seemed absolutely tiny. Getting to screen 22 on the top floor via super slow escalators is also annoying. As for sound effects, my TV does a better job.
