Whether you’re a tourist or a New Yorker you have to check this iconic site out! The view is amazing!! The little exhibit along the way up is wonderfully curated together. The history of this place and how it was built is a marvel in itself! The staff was welcoming and inviting. Right now is a great time for the locals. There is very little visitors right now! I highly recommend this place without reservations!!!

Midtown was desolate, but that’s something to experience now. We stood in a line on 34th street and we were the only thing happening. We got tickets to the 82nd and 102nd decks. You pass through the 80th floor on the way to 82, which is cool - more windows. More views. The tickets were timed for entry. We waited outside first and they scanned our temp before going in. Things most fast. Went through security. Took our time on the decks. Everyone was friendly. Everything was clean. Social distancing worked. There was hand sanitizer wherever you wanted it.On a clear day, you can see everything, but you wouldn’t know it was real except for the the moving buses and cars. The renovated 102nd floor was quite nice, with windows down to your feet. The fresh air on the 82nd floor deck was invigorating. I thought of the end of Sleepless in Seattle. It’s amazing they’re still building skyscrapers. Cranes basically at eye level. My almost 7-year old son was thrilled. Surreal as hell. A memory etched in place, take someone you love.

I grew up in the area, work in this building and love art deco architecture, yet never did the tour. Finally made it to the top and it was such a great experience! We went on a Sunday afternoon and with travel restrictions in place, there were virtually no tourists, lines etc. It was like some VIP experience. The walk through leading up to the top was great and super interesting. The views from the top are unbeatable. This is a must do NYC experience.

This is an iconic building in NYC. The Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world for so many years. So many iconic events and things have happened in NYC and this place definitely holds a toast to that. The view from the top is amazing however the amenities are a bit dated since this is a near 100 year old building! However this definitely a building to visit in NYC!

Sleepless In Seattle, An Affair To Remember, King Kong and Love Affair are some small examples of Hollywood using this iconic building as one of their set location. I highly recommend anyone whenever they visit NYC to pay a visit to the Empire State Building, this being a building built during the great depression years only adds to its mystic as for a long time this was the tallest building in the world, a title thats so hard to maintain. The materials used, the design of the structure and grandeur of its shear presence show that no modern skyscraper can ever match with this grand old structure. Like the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station and Freedom Tower the ESB is one of the landmark sites of NYC. The view from the top is amazing as you truly get to see the Manhattan Island so well.

The Empire State Building, built in 1931, is “The World’s Most Famous Building!”It stands 1454 feet above Midtown Manhattan. There are exhibits to see throughout the building, as well as observatories on the 86th and 102nd floors.(I took the photos I added, from the 102nd story, when my family and I visited NYC, July 2019.)It is a must see if you go to NYC.I am handicap and I could’ve never done and been able to see all I did without a very sweet lady that worked there & took me in a wheelchair everywhere I wanted to go, along with my family! They have very kind and knowledgeable staff. The gift shop had something for everyone; in every price range.I definitely recommend going here!

Many people want to see and visit a building which is still even taller than others .It is also the famous building in the world .Its age is more than 100 years old but still brand new .It attracts tourists from many countries who have different cultures , backgrounds and use different languages .They were overjoyed when they saw this building but they didnt find the KingKong appeared in the movie .Many tourists have already visited here by cars and air plans.Long time ago when there were no passenger plans some tourists lived in a long distance came here by boat to see this building because it was at that time not only the tallest but also gave them a proud of living in America .After this building in competition many much taller buildings were built in the world.

Has to be visited when in New York, but be prepared to queue. We waited for a good 45 minutes just to get inside, then it took another half an hour to get up. The queueing system wasnt brilliant either, and none of the security people in charge of it were very friendly. Beautiful inside, and the lift up is fantastic, very quick. Brilliant views across the city once on the observation deck. Also the obligatory opportunity to purchase a photo of yourself superimposed onto a background, at eye watering prices. Plenty of toilets dotted around. Ive been up here twice, first time around 3 men used the sinks in the mens room as urinals, which was odd and meant I couldnt wash my hands. If you come in the morning or at night, youll probably wait longer than in the afternoon. The views arent as good as at the Rockefeller center.

Visited 08-26-20. Simply put, a wonderful experience. Visited the main deck on 86th floor. Almost no one there due to COVID. Arrived as sun setting, watched the lights of NYC turn on, with our kids, as it became dark. Amazing. Facilities are immaculately clean. Staff are incredible, kind, courteous, gracious, respectful. Small museum is great experience for those with a technical interest in construction and engineering of the building. Kids loved the small King Kong exhibit. A bit expensive, but well worth it, it is a unique experience.

My parents surprised my husband and I with tickets to the 86th floor. The overall experience was very good. There was no line. I was informed that they opened the observatory at the end of July. As you walk through, there are so many details, informative plaques, theatrics, and history regarding the building, which I particularly liked. After going through security (if they confiscate anything you may have an opportunity to take it back at the end of the tour at the gift shop) you take an elevator to the 80th floor, then to the 86th. For an additional 30 dollars, you can go to floor 102. From the top of the observatory, you circle around and then exit through the gift shop. Regular priced tickets are around 45, the reason for my review. I just dont like the price, but I will say that everything was really well done and it was a very nice experience. They do check your temperature at the door. We purchased our tickets in person on the second floor.I would recommend the tour at least once in your life.

I had the opportunity to go on a private VIP tour of the Empire State Building (hosted) at 10AM before the building opens to the public. We got really lucky and the weather was amazing & the sky was clear. There are safety measures in place ~ high tech machines in the lobby take your contactless temperature. Elevators indicate where to stand to maintain distance & visitors are limited at this time.First we went to the 86th floor outdoor observatory. Here we could see everything from Freedom Tower to the Statue of Liberty. The views are absolutely stunning. From there we went up the cool glass elevator 18 floors to 102 which is a fairly new 360 degree indoor observation deck with floor to ceiling windows. Theres also stairs to go up to the highest outdoor landing that is reserved for special photographers and celeb guests. If you havent been now is the perfect time for NYers to enjoy a crowdless visit. Iconic is an understatement.

Currently, the Empire State is the seventh tallest building in New York. I first climbed to the top of the Empire State Building in 1973 when I was departing New Yorks JFK Airport to spend a year studying in Montpellier, France -- one of those Junior-Year-Abroad study excursions. The next time was in 1977 after I married my wife of 42 years. Her parents were visiting from Tokyo and we made a driving tour of the Eastern United States, and of course, stopped in New York City and went to the top of the Empire. I think the third time was in 1999 when I convinced by parents to fly to New York to meet up with me and my older son, who was studying in Cambridge, Mass. at the time. We were both attending and presenting at the TESOL conference held in New York in March of that year. I cant remember the details of the fourth time I visited it, but it was on a solitary trip to NYC in second decade of the 2000s. Over the decades I’ve seen the New York skyline undergo slow and steady changes, but it always remains one of the world’s great metropolises and a spectacle to behold from the zenith that the Empire State Building offers.

Don’t hate me for saying this but we only experienced a tiny line before we experienced the rush of crowds during the sunset. I recommend going before sunset and staying a couple of hours so you can see the stunning views that dramatically change from day to night. I took lots of photos of our experience as well as a time lapse during the transition to night lights. Epic experience and I can’t believe we almost skipped this. If your are afraid of heights, don’t be, they have it barred up completely safe.

Its to iconic and the views from the 86th floor are breathtaking. The city streets are loud and bustling with activity. Once your in the clouds looking down on the city its a peaceful quiet.

Amazing views of NY! Had a great time! 102nd floor was well worth the extra money in my opinion!

Ive lived in NYC for almost 4 years now and just recently went to the Empire State Building observatory. What I liked about it was the museum exhibit that you need to walk through first in order to get to the elevators up. There is a lot of interesting history with this building that was neat to learn about. You dont get that with the freedom tower observatory (you go to the separate 9/11 museum for that). The best part was that the observation deck on the 86th floor was outside. On a nice, clear day you get a beautiful view. I also purchased the additional pass to go to the 102nd floor...for an extra $30 it was definitely not worth it. The view is through dirty glass and the space is like maybe 15ft wide in diameter, I spent like 1 min there. My suggestion is get the standard tickets up to 86th floor, dont bother going higher, the views are basically the same.

Shop manager Melissa + Adeline were so good to me, website was blocking my Purchase from Barcelona Spain, for my kid whose favorite toy ever since he was born is the Stanley Gorilla stuffed animal. So they attend me by phone, Toon the time to do all the order themselves, and informed me by iMessage all the way. It took less than a week.I lost him and he won’t stop crying for him everyday...Now we have it back again and my son is happy and feel safe again as it’s like his best friend.

We visited the first day the Empire State Building reopened. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It was very clear how to social distance and precautions were carefully followed. Please go visit NYC! It is possible to stay safe and support businesses that desperately need patrons to stay afloat!

We chose to go to the Empire State Building at night to try and avoid crazy lines and crowds. There was still a large number of people, but not too bad. There is a lot of detail that goes into the trip to the top of the building where youll see the outrageous views. This includes numerous photo opportunities and insight into the buildings history. Unfortunately, during our visit, the employees here were less than helpful. As first time visitors, youd believe theyd instruct you, but many of them stayed silent with no instruction on where we were supposed to go. The real treasure is once you reach the top. The views are breathtaking. If you go at night or on a cold day, they do have heat lamps that wrap around the 86th floor exterior to where it isnt freezing. Definitely worth the trip!

Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of!Getting up was a long wait but definitely worth it once you get to the observation deck. The views were so lovely. You have to pick a good day and time to go up so that you are not disappointed with low visibility. Landmark buildings in the city!

It really is spectacular. The building just breathes history. Amazing new lobby/museum where you can learn some facts from the past. Also very interactive. People running working there are just a joy. They really love what they are doing. And once you get to the top, it truly is breathtaking.

I’ve lived in New York and realized I never been to the Empire State Building. It was amazing, the view from the observatory is impeccable. Being up there will give you the feeling of royalty looking down at your kingdom. The 360 degree view of New York City is so ingenious. If you’re looking to be amazed by the beauty of New York then try the VIP express ticket, it’s worth it.
