The attraction itself is definitely a bit overhyped but I stand by the fact it is a great date night activity. Try not to go during one of their “peak” times, it’ll save you a bit of money. The staff are all super funny and helpful. Exhibits were small and went by quick; you could probably breeze through this museum in less than thirty minutes as some have said. Like I said, definitely have this experience you won’t regret it, but go during a non-peak time to get the best bang for your buck for what the museum is.

This was one of the funnest things I’ve done in a while. Perfect to go with a friend or significant other. It’s educational on the timeline of the sex industry. Lots of visual and interactive experiences, it’s like a sex carnival. I can’t wait to go back been telling all my friends. Not to be missed!!! ️

This museum is expensive, small and boring. The best part of it is their gift shop downstairs and thats it! Its a 100% tourist trap rip off! Dont waste your hard earned money and go elsewhere. MOSEX truly is one of the worst museums Ive ever been to. Such a shame.. Sad..

I dont know how this place was pre-covid, but as it is right now its a huge waste of money. So many areas are closed and there are hardly any exhibits to look at. Id hardly call this a museum. They have this super fun land thing where you play games but all of the games except one are not fun in the slightest. And finally, social distancing is not enforced at all. So many people are grouped together in Super fun land. Save your money.

My co worker gave me a list of things to do in NYC, and this was eye catching on the list! We went on a Friday afternoon around 3p and staff was super friendly! We purchased the entry ticket to Fun Land and a glass of champagne at the end of the museum! It was a very awesome experience to see what more is behind the word “Sex”. Even learned a few things along the way! Definitely recommend it to anyone who want to have a little open minded fun! A fun experience with my best friends!

Was a really awesome experience right up til the end. Loved the history of stag films and punk and was so excited to enter Superfunland. Once you reach Superfanland, it’s all pay your way for fun and games. I wish it was better explained by staff or I could have just upgraded my ticket right in the beginning. Overall it was super fun but I do wish the pricing was more straight up.

We arrived around 6pmish and I think thats a good time to get there. Not too crowded. We headed straight to the planetarium to get our tickets and just so you know, you can get more tickets than there are people. (We ended up giving back our 2 extra tickets before the 7:30 showing and by then, I believe they had run out.)

Really fun experience. You get to play games at least once which are fun. Great photo opportunities. Good learning experience along with fun stuff throughout the whole place. Great gift shop at the end too. Overall, really great time!!

The Sex Museum has really expanded in all areas. From stories of women, to the evolution of sex, to many interactive games, the whole museum is very entertaining and exciting. The game room was probably my favorite part, it also has a short 4D film you can watch. Great spot for pictures as well! Definitely worth visiting.

This place offers some pieces of history related to the 20th century and how New York and the world started breaking taboos and creating art out of sexual needs and lust. Thats kind of interesting because it allows you to see how things were difficult for them back then and how they struggled to reach what we see today. Except that the museum in itself is not well organized, you cant really relate between the different levels of exhibitions, and you for sure will need to pay extra money to see extra parts of the museum. The entry ticket itself is not cheap, so i dont know if it worth the struggle or not.

The experience itself is very unique, the employees very fun and (some more than others) i do recommend to buy the tickets online before going in, and if you can get a drink before so even better! very organized, and the gift shop is very fun too.i also love this place because no one is judging no one, is a very safe space to let loose and have fun, with anyone!

Only worth a visit if you got a city pass and it’s cold outside. Do not pay for it, you’ll be disappointed.

Had a fantastic time at the museum of sex and superfunland. We with a friend for Valentine’s Day weekend 2020 and got some great photos. Luckily we went when the crowd wasn’t so large so we were able to move comfortably through the museum and take lots of photos without waiting in long lines. Only thing to consider is that attractions in super Finland cost additional money - so make sure you have an extra $20-$30 to enjoy all the attractions!

Total waste of time and money. Wasted $71 on two of us.... most of the pics on google show things that are NOT there anymore.

I had such a good time at SuperFunLand! I planned a fun filled weekend for my friends and I. Going to SuperFunLand was the highlight of our trip! It’s perfect for girls trip or date night!

The super funland part of this experience makes it worthwhile. Its really good fun to have with your friends or partner, lots of comical interactive activities and the decor is amazing. The exhibitions in the actual museum part are quite out there but they are interesting and probably educational if you took the time to read it. Would recommend this activity if you have time.

I learn something new each time I pay this place a visit and as a native New Yorker, I love to share this place with my out of town visitors. The staff has always been friendly and the souvenir shop is affordable! It’s a great place to visit and it’s a city gem.

Staff was friendly, it was cool but a little overhyped in my opinion.

Giving this place 3 stars because we asked the manager for a refund and he gave it to us with a complimentary drink. the visit itself is worth 1 star only. we started off in the basement trying to give our winter coats to the coat check. we stood online for over 10 min without it moving. finally a girl asked a worker why its taking so long and he said were the coat check is full and were waiting to see if somebody comes to pick up their coats. I wish we were informed that then we wouldnt stay there! it was sooo crowded! The line to super fun land took over half an hour and we still werent through the door. half the people online werent even sure what they were on line for as there were no workers around to explain anything. the line was a mess, with everybody trying to push through and skip and no attendant for crowd control. it was really hot and frustrating to the point where me and my boyfriend just left to get a refund. they should definitely have capacity limit and crowd control attendants if they want to charge almost $80 for 2 people to see their exhibit. the rest of the museum also felt a bit underwhelming as a lot of it is tiny print to read or videos.

I did not know what exactly I was getting myself into when I first went to this museum. I saw that somebody on my Instagram went so that made me want to check it out for myself. It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Informative, intriguing & very entertaining! I wish some of the staff and bartenders had better attitudes, but overall I really enjoyed my visit. Definitely will be coming back soon!

I loved this place! It was only $17 to get in and I got to see so much stuff! The art is beautiful and I love how they have interacting sculptures that we can touch and understand whats going on. I enjoyed the bouncy house which was $3 a person for a 5 minute jump. The gift store is wild they have so many items and souvenirs. I would come here again and bring more friends so they can enjoy it as well!

Had such a fun time here when I was visiting NYC!! Came here as a spur of the moment adventure, and it was best part of my trip. The staff were super friendly and there were so many fun facts. Had an absolute blast in the bouncy castle! Definitely coming back here on my next trip to the city.

Went here this weekend for my friends 30th bday and it was BANANAS!!!! lmfao We had so much fun it was so weird but yet intriguing at the same time, all in a good way! There was so much to look at I can’t even begin to explain everything but I will say a couple of the most memorable and hilarious parts were riding the mechanical bull with the vibrator and the 4D mini film/ride that they have as well! It completely tripped me out but it was so great we were dying laughing!!! I’d definitely go again. A cool thing if you want to try something different for a change:)

Early 20th-century videos were among the more interesting exhibits. The 4D experience was strange and underwhelming and a few of the superfunland stations were either down or didnt accept the provided card, but otherwise better than I was expecting. Very Western-based and a more international presence wouldve been nice.

My girlfriend and I visited the Museum of Sex last weekend and were both thoroughly impressed. They have some fascinating exhibits and I found myself learning more than I could have imagined. Also enjoyed the Punk Lust exhibit. The staff were friendly and helpful to patrons - at least that was our experience. Definitely a museum everyone should visit at least once. Maybe more frequently for the shop alone!

What an amazing experience!! We were in town for a few days in NYC and a lot of Houston friends and family recommended checking out the Sex Museum. Let me just say, it did NOT disappoint. Make sure to check out the interactive carnival at the last exhibit for a fun and interactive surprise!!

The employees behind the ticket counter were very welcoming and polite. I expected more from the museum so I feel it was quite overpriced for what it was. Also, I wanted to say the staff behind the shop counters we were extremely rude. All 3 of them sat on there phones. I greet them Hello and then I get an abrupt response from a blonde woman ‘I need to scan that’. I’m giving two stars for the good service from the women behind the ticket tills. Nothing else.

A unique and fun activity to do in NYC! Super Funland really enhances a visit to the Museum of Sex by adding an interactive element to a museum that is already full of surprises. Each game/activity in Funland encouraged us to be playful and open and held to the carnival theme, and balanced out the more educational/serious exhibits upstairs.At the end you can grab a drink and hang out by the stripper pole, leaving your visit on a classy note The staff was friendly and efficient and our visit went smoothly from room to room. Minus one star because one of the games was closed during my visit and it may be considered pricey to some, but if you’re looking for something interesting that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this is a safe bet!

I’m honestly surprised this doesn’t have better ratings. My best friend and I had a blast here! The prices weren’t that terrible (bring student ID if you have it!) There is a lot to learn and the curation is worth it. We went on a weeknight, but I’m sure it is a hot commodity on the weekends. All of the staff members were sweet. The curation was very informative. Superfunland made it blast. Don’t just buy the museum ticket, get both! We had so much fun - the photo ops were also amazing. The imagination behind this is mind-blowing!

This place was amazing! It was so fun and educational and when I arrived at the ticket counter with tickets I was gifted a while ago they were nice enough to still honor the tickets! I took my friend who had been before, but because the exhibits change it was an all new experience for them too! With tons of spots to pose this place is fun for you and your social media!

I had not been to this museum in years, now that they added on SuperFunland it makes it an even more interesting experience, so you have some education, then fun interacting with your company & other guests. Very organized , the staff are friendly & youre going to end up with cool photos, at least visit once. Perfect for a girls/guys night out & a date night, there is even a bar downstairs & the gift shop is lovely. I gave 4 stars because the bathrooms were horrid, besides that, I had an awesome night with my bestie.

This is a unique experience and a great time to say the least. Lots of cool inventions... the bicycle. The booby bounce is really fun too. You only get a limited amount of time but it’s definitely a fun aspect and event in itself. The edibles are funny and not bad actually! There is humor, truth, and fun to be found here. We spent quite some time perusing everything. It really is a gem and a wonderful place to tour in the city.

Superfunland is really super fun experience with great museum values. You find out a lot of interesting facts about sex and sex related topics in the history and you will get interactive experience that cannot be explained ;) you have to try it!

One of my favorite places in New York City. I have visited a few times and always have a great time. I always find sexy stuff at their shop and love to go with friends especially in the fall and winter. Can’t wait to go back and see what’s new and to add their staff is super dope and sweet. I flew up for a 3-day trip from Florida and made sure that The Museum of Sex was a special stop! I didnt know what I was walking into, but I was excited all the same! If youre a little nervous around sex paraphernalia, the lobby may be slightly intimidating. But once you enter the museum its a lot easier to take in! The museum is divided into different levels (super skinny and old NYC building, ofc) and each level is a different theme throughout the history of sex. Each exhibit was extremely detailed and highly educational. There were videos, props, photos, and interactive exhibits.The staff was friendly throughout the entire museum and made my experience enjoyable. Theres even a miniature arcade at the end where you can bounce in a breast-themed bounce house, play a claw machine for stuffed toys, and play skee ball to win a souvenir crown!If youre looking for a highly pleasurable way to spend an hour or two, this is the perfect place to slide through!

I went to the museum and was completely blown away by both the esthetics and the exhibitions. There wasn’t a single moment when you didn’t hear someone giggling over an image or video. the photography exhibition of James Bidgood was true eye candy. the Stag film exhibition was oddly informative and interestingly curated because it guided the viewer effortlessly through out the space.It was educational , but most importantly FUN. SuperFunLand is a total treat so don’t skip the arcade card because you will regret it! I strongly recommend this for a group activity and/or a fun date.

We went here during our trip to NYC and so happy that we did. Each floor had a different experience and was amazing. You go at your own pace and no one is there pressuring you or watching you look at everything on the walls. There are videos to pictures to arcade games and slides. My favorite floor was the punk era floor, as I really enjoyed that genre. Youre able to take pictures inside and when youre done, you end at a sex shop. Honestly, its the perfect adult date night you can ask for. Ive done nothing but rave about it to all of my friends. I look forward to my next trip to NYC to visit again. This was the highlight of my NYC trip

This museum is just OK. I think the price is steep for what it is. If you don’t get the Superfunland package it is really not worth your time. There are not a ton of exhibits and it’s mostly just a lot of videos. The organization/scheduling also has some room for improvement— we didn’t get to do even half of the Superfunland games just because of how ridiculously crowded and how long the lines were for everything. I think this place COULD be really cool and worth the $$, it just needs some more creative curating.

Great place! Really surprised by the bad reviews which almost deterred me from going, but thrilled I did! Very educational information that spans the evolution of sex and body law mostly through a Western gaze. I did wish there was more of an emphasis of global sex evolution but that’s just me. It’s not the best designed place as there’s lots of reading and needing to sit to watch old films, but everything is so cramped that you’re constantly in someone’s way if gets busy. It’s also hard to concentrate in the cramped spaces with the sounds going and conversations from other groups, but such is New York. Regardless, glad I went!

WOW! This interactive experience is colorful exciting and full of great history. Perfect for a date or night on the town with friends. Be sure to slide down to the bar on your way out of the exhibit for drinks with dirty names ;)

Museum of Sex is an interesting and interactive museum. I visited for the SuperFunLand exhibit, which is a multi-level indoor carnival that included a RuPaul Fortune Telling machine and ski-ball races. It was really fun- I would highly recommend visiting with a group of friends.

I went for the superfunland portion and It is fun and interactive which makes it even better. They also have plenty of picture opportunities! It is a great place to hangout with your friends but there are a few games for couples so I’d recommend coming with them aswell.

I visited the Museum of Sex for an event and I couldn’t recommend it more! It really takes you outside your comfort some in the best way. I highly recommend checking out the Super Fun Land exhibit. It’s extra Instagram worthy & the games are wild and sooooo fun!

What was there was rather interesting to go through and the games were a bit of cute fun. Unfortunately its not a lot for the price. Cut down the entry fee and Id give it a much higher rating

The museum was not my cup of tea. It just didnt appeal to me. Would have liked to see more actual exhibits instead of videos. The place was crowded and reeked of cheap perfume. The only worthwhile part was the superfunland and even there we encountered issues. The card machine was broken, luckily an employee saw our frustration and was able to hand out the cards to us. There were a lot of activities to do but the place was just way too crowded. They should have stopped the visitors after a certain number because at some points I dont think it was 100% safe with the amount of people in the room. Would I go back though? Most likely yes but it would have to be at an off peak time. I think it would have been a more pleasurable experience if it werent so overcrowded.

Paid money for a museum but experienced an X rated chuck e cheese. Expected a plethora of information on sex with fun twists but was left disappointed with overpriced drinks. The free gift shop was more educational than the museum itseld. AVOID

The Funland was exactly that! So much fun! The kissing game was one of my favorite along with riding the bull! Awesome added feature! The exhibits never disappoint as well! Great date night!

This place is well worth the visit. It was fun and interactive! While the price is reasonable for NYC, only bummer was the really cool stuff cost extra money and I did feel the original cost should have been enough to do everything. The gift shop is also just as fun as the rest of the museum! Do not bring your kiddos to this one!

I have visited the museum twice and cant wait to go back for a third. Each time the exhibits were different and amazing in their own ways. The art installations break the social norm that most places dare not touch upon.

My boyfriend and I stopped in because it was near the hotel, and we had a blast. Fun but also educational.

The exhibits themselves were very nice- a lot to learn and read. Well thought out and informative. But the quality of Superfun Land was less than ideal. A few of the games were broken, and the bounce house was pretty deflated and full of holes. Superfun land was super fun- but when weighing price vs what you actually get it’s a little underwhelming. Definitely glad I went- but it’s a one time stop.

Very weird at first but does get better the further you go along. Has everything from art to animals as well as historical items. Interesting to see but was somewhat weirder the expected

I visited the Museum of Sex while on vacation in NYC. Very interesting museum and its floors are thematic. I hate I wont be here to see what Super Fun Land looks like but I highly recommend this museum to everyone 18+. They also have a shop where you can buy things that will help you explore or enhance your sex life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Museum is a lot of fun, but the workers are rude and not helpful. It is confusing and instead of helping when asked, they say they can’t wait for a negative review to be written. Didn’t pay $69 for two people to be treated like a moron.

Paid $60 for two people into both the museum and Funland because they wouldn’t let us only do the museum. The museum had two decent exhibits and the third was a complete waste and dealt with technology— having nothing to do with any aspect of sex. There were many other things that could have been done for this floor instead of the evolution of cameras and recording, again having nothing to do with any aspect of sex.Funland was small, with few games. Half the games weren’t working and the other half that were working had a long wait period. Overall lazy work, and just not a good enough quality for the price paid.

The last time I came to NY I visited here and enjoyed it. This time was no different. Very cool store, cool concept, cool visuals and gadgets on display...A definite go
