This is a terrific venue. Normally you can see performances every evening during the summer. Movies on weekends. All with a beautiful lake in the background. A wonderful dining opportunity with the Bread and Pickle restaurant literally feet away with a terrific picnic menu from sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads, and beverages popcorn and ice cream. Enjoy!

Great place to gather with friends and families. There is a trail around the lake for biking and walking. You can also access Minnehaha parkway regional trail. That connects Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Regional park (Minnehaha Falls). You could see Minnehaha Creek across the trail. It also connects to Lake Nokomis and Lake Haiwatha.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes around. Its a nice 3 mile walk all the way around it. People that come here tend to be on the nicer side. Never an issue always a smile or 2. My fiancé and I love it.

I loved the area but being new I didnt know how the parking meters worked. We always pay at the end of visit. I got a ticket. I tried to explain but to no avail. I will be back if I go to Minneapolis but this time I know how to pay parking meters. I just never saw ones like those. I still paid for my time after getting the ticket. Pay for Parking in beginning of visit. Otherwise, it was great!

Beautiful Lake & beautiful music. Has a lovely lake dock for a walk out. Virologists have to wear a whole suit with separate oxygen line to stop viruses. Cloth face masks stop only 0.30 micron, whereas, viruses are way smaller 0.07-0.15 micron. Ergo, wearing masks are useless against viruses. Scam. Hoax. PsyOp. Agenda21 being rolled out. Earth is flat & stationary. Research flat earth.

In the midst of Minneapolis residential areas, Lake Harriet provides a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The convenient and well-maintained walking paths around the lake are relaxing and restoring whether in summer or winter. The bandshell and concessions make this a natural convening place, pleasant for a quick break after going around the lake.

Awesome place. They serve hotdogs, burgers, ice cream, beer and more. The walk around the lake is about 1.5 hours, its about 2.8 miles and is a beautiful place to walk. There is a path dedicated for walking, then a path next to it dedicated for cycling and if youd like to drive your way around the lake, there is even a little one way road to drive around it.

I have enjoyed every event Ive attended here. The Movies in the Park events have been especially fun as they invite local bands to play before each film. The final film was The Last Starfighter & the exceptional band was The Last Import. Indeed Brewing had a beer tent & a vintage video game arcade was set up. Highly recommended!

I go here every year, multiple times!! Great spot in the summer for FREE live music, outdoor movies and connecting with friends! I LOVE biking there and enjoying a laid back evening outside. Bring your own blanket/chairs, coolers and snacks...or enjoy the benches provided and food/drink from Bread & Pickle - the lakeside restaurant. Come prepared or come with nothing and you’ll have a great experience. Very pet and kid friendly. One of the best local stops around!!

The bandshell at Lake Harriet is always good to visit in the summertime. There was an outdoor concert just like always, despite covid-19. Afterwards you could take a bike around the lake, or just sit my the lakeshore like lots of people were doing. Life is good.

Good seating - or you can dangler your feet over the water at the edge of the bandshell. Reasonably priced beers, classic fried foods plus some others, and all with a great view (or a free concert if you time it right). Great date place, but equally good for families.

There are great areas to pincic at. Clean beaches. Theres a band stand where concerts are taking place. Check to see if there are concerts at the band stand. I attended a wedding here. It’s a pretty place. Parking was a bit of a challenge and there was a large police presence. I’m not sure if that is a bad sign, but I appreciated the efforts. Plenty of picnic areas that people really utilized. Having the river run right through the park was very picturesque. If you are thinking about having an event there, keep in mind that runners, walkers, etc are still able to go about their business while the event is happening. It was distracting, as a wedding guest, to be watching the bride and groom exchange vows and suddenly joggers with their dog go zooming by right behind them. The buildings are very pretty and have been kept nicely over the many years.
