Ok - have you heard of this place yet - because its freaking AWESOME. and I wish it would reopen because we had a blast of a date here. We visited the movie theater to watch Pulp Fiction - for $5. Thats right - $5. The movie theater was packed with Tarantino fans. Luck have you, Flixster was putting on a special that month for Travoltas birthday, so we were greeted with a piece of birthday cake when we entered the theater. The seats are comfortable and theres trays in front of you that you can set food / drinks on through out the show. Getting service was very easy and didnt distract from the movie. The meals were really reasonable too. We received an app, and two main course meals for $25! The time was wonderful and were surrounded by a theater full of people quoting the movie along side us.

I was very impressed. Every expectation I had was exceeded. Here i thought the newer movie theater in Sun Prairie was nice, this was 100 times better in every way. The prices are actually reasonable too which is a huge plus. If I could give 10 stars I would thats how happy I was with my experience here. Keep up the great work ^_^

Love coming here! Even if Im just going to watch football at the bar, its always great service. The seats in the theaters and very comfy and the food is delicious! My favorite are the loaded fries and buffalo chicken tenders. Service is fast, quality, and courteous.

Good beer. Good food. Nice theater. Only drawback is the distance from parking lot to the entrance. It was raining for my first visit, but the friendly staff and experience more than made up for that minor inconvenience. Top notch place.

Ive been to to Flix multiple times and always had a great time! The menu has a great selection, with cute and interesting beers to compliment your movie going experience. I highly recommend! Perfect hang out spot and date night location

Weve been coming here for over a year now and we love it. The food is good and we always have had great service from the workers. We especially love their Flix Picks each month. We look forward to the new monthly themes and what movies they are bringing back to the theater.

Just went last night to go see Bad Boys with a friend of mine. I go pretty frequently, but it had been my friends first time going. As I was starting to explain how the theater works, our server Becky (not sure on the spelling) greeted us. She was really helpful with explaining the whole experience to my friend. She was very personable and always kept a smile on her face. We both got the spicy chicken sandwich and some cheese curds. Very good. I know I will keep going back and now my friend cant wait to return.

Update 2/25/2020 - They were good on their word and sent me 2 free tickets to a movie. That was awesome!! thanks.the place was great. I went to the movie with my dad and my 7 year old son. The service was very good, the place was clean. My complaint was the seating situation. We did not buy tickets in advance ( we went to a Sunday afternoon kids movie 3 weeks after the release), but when we went to buy tickets at counter the ticket person said only tickets in front row were available....the rest of the theater was full....except for a few seats. We bought them and bent our necks up to see the screen. Ten minutes into the movie there was only 11 people seated...the rest was empty. I asked at the counter about that and she said if someone clicks a seat online it holds the seat...even though they didnt buy the ticket. So when we bought tickets, it looked like the place was full....NOT a good system. She said we could move...but moving a 7 year old and a 75 year old at the point was not in the cards.....Next time just buy ahead and Flix brewhouse needs to fix their ticketing system.

This place is incredible!! Our hostess, Sommer, was very informative and welcoming to us at our first time here. You are provided a menu and they serve food during the film with an option to order more silently during the movie. The food was incredible and the servers were extremely friendly and happy to help. We were aided by two employees, Conner and Hoang, who greeted us with a smile and cheerful attitudes. It was an hour drive up here, and we will definitely be returning to this wonderful place.

Somewhat mixed feelings. When I purchased tickets online the only seats were front row. After going we discovered we were able to switch seats and move back a few rows easily, which was nice. The problem we had was with the wait service which was very slow. We ordered and did not receive everything then waited almost 20 minutes to receive additional incorrect items. To which I had to go out of the theater and found the wait staff to explain the situation. After an hour into the movie we finally received the correct items. I like the idea of table side service at a theater. But this was a mess and seemed rather is organized.

Clean theater. Unique movie experience with clips from movies in the same genre you bought tickets for on the screen before the movie began. I saw Bad Boys For Life, so 90s action clips were playing. Beki was a quick, helpful server and the cheese curds were great!

This place is hands-down our favorite movie theater in the Madison area. We live in Oregon, and yet still travel 20-25 minutes to get to this theater. Thats how much we love it over AMC/Marcus in town. The food is always top-notch, and the service is excellent. Plus, the movie prices are totally reasonable. Consider this place like the anti-movie theater. Theyre breaking all of the typical bad stereotypes of what a theater is. The no-talking policy, the food, the fun events! Really, really hope to see this business continue to thrive - we love it!

Ordered the double feature menu and was charged the full price. I pointed out the error and was told it would be corrected. My order was rang up again, this time with no break down and Im pretty sure it was still wrong. AND yes I took into account an upgrade for the nasty burger. The fish was bad, slightly mushy. The only good items were the cheese curds and french fries. The $7 margarita was TINY and makes me wonder about the glass size. What a waste of money.

Staff, from the bartenders, to servers and clean up crew were welcoming and friendly. Sound and picture were great. Clean, comfortable seats. We only had a great beer and popcorn so cant really comment on the food. We will be back.

The best movie theater weve ever visited, bar none. We enjoy our visits to Marcus theatres, but Flix Brewhouse manages to be a far better choice. Why?* Variety of seating options, including comfy recliners with snack tables as well as seats with tables more suited to meals, and bookable seats.* Excellent food (they even made raw carrots --served with homemade hummus--shine, and I dont like carrots)* Staff are friendly, kind, welcoming, and seem genuinely happy to work there.*The strict policies against jerks who disturb movies. We were a bit irritated by the arrive early policy until we got there, and saw that it made sense: Getting in food orders early was great, and they are telling the truth about not subjecting us to endless previews.*Their opening in East Madison when Marcus abandoned us for the far-flung burbs of Sun Prairie.* An onsite brewery is so wonderfully over the top!*Prices are low. This may be an introductory rate, but much appreciated.All reasons this is now our first-choice theater. Were going again today.

Nice movie theater with full bar and restaurant menu delivered right to your seat. Popcorn is good with a nice amount of butter. House brewed wheat beer is also very good. Meat lovers pizza has good flavor, but it a bit hard to eat in the dark.Update 12/09/2018 - Surprisingly good buffalo chicken salad

Love the customer service here! Every staff member I’ve interacted with during the countless times I’ve been here smiles and greets me. Plus, the theatre is ALWAYS so clean compared to others that I’ve been to. Food is better quality as well. Definitely recommend.

I mightve given this place four stars, which is my usual score for a great place, but for the staff. Theyre all clearly well-trained and well-suited to welcoming people to the theater and brewpub and wish you a nice visit, and hope you enjoy the food, beer, and film. My friend and I did just that, though she had cola while I enjoyed the Scottish Ale and a Pale Ale that are both brewed in house. Our server, a young man who introduced himself as James, took care of us promptly and politely and proficiently. Instead of a neutral experience interacting with him, it was a positive one. It almost felt like we were personal friends. (Were not, never met him before today) My Duke Burger was awesome, though I was glad Id brought along a pair of disposable gloves - the juices and fat that oozed out got the gloves dirty, not my hands. The accompanying fries were very decent, especially for fries brought to me inside the theater. The beer was quite nice, and true to style - which I certainly know, being a certified national beer judge. We saw the movie Rocketman, which was EXCELLENT! It was a great view inside the private life experience of Elton John, and learned a lot I didnt know. Taron Egerton was amazing as Elton John - Id no idea what a multifaceted talent he possessed. Definitely a nice comfortable place to spend a few hours enjoying a current film. Kudos to staff and management.

I love this place! I love the beer and the more adult atmosphere when seeing a movie. They were very speed when I ordered a beer during the movie. I love the small setting. The beer prices are reasonable. The one I was drinking was $7 for a 20 oz.

Perfect place for date night! Food is good and filling, the ordering system is much better than Marcus bistro, servers are polite and fast, and it all makes a unique environment for watching new movies.

Ive been there twice. First time got there on a hurry. The guy at the box office was pretty nice, gave us the info quick and also gave us a free ticket to use later on because I told him was our first time there. Got a really delicious beer called Lupulus I think, good price for a big glass! At the end there was a problem because our tab never was actually made so they apologize and gave us the beer for free. Second time I booked my tickets on line, girl at the box office really nice too, choose the seats without the recliner and thought the lights on the tables would be distracting at first but they actually werent. Tried another of their beers and loaded potatoes. Really good and I can for sure say their beer truly rocks. Got a 32oz growler to go. Pretty cool place

I love this theater. Their food is awesome and their fries are really good. Seats are comfortable for the most part. Highly recommend.If you like to sit close to the screen, those seats recline. Most of the other seats do not recline, but they do allow you to lean back a little and are still comfortable.I recommend you avoid sitting in the very back row however. There is a wall immediately behind the back row of seats that prevents you from leaning back. The one time Ive sat there, my back started getting sore within the first 15 minutes, so that was not pleasant.

Prices on everything from their movie tickets down to the beer are far better than Marcus Theatres. I just left Flix Brewhouse in east Madison, and my group and I had an AMAZING experience! Everyone on staff gave us outstanding service. Some accommodations and modifications were required to help my group today, and each person we encountered was eager to support us. Most especially, Hoang, our server was patient with us as we ordered, gave us extra time to pay our bill at the end, and even helped us find a missing wallet! I can’t say enough about the service and will be returning with my class and friends. Thanks.

Ive been here twice, but last nights experience was disappointing. Theyve changed the menu since I last attended so that every sandwich and wrap (except the beyond burger) is spicy with no options to substitute to a non-spicy option. I tried the beyond burger because I usually do enjoy those, but it was far too dry. I wish theyd at least have regular mayo or the thousand island sauce back and I heard people ordering in other groups also asking for non-spicy options. I know there are plenty of people who love spice, but you should have options.Also, there was one patron in the row ahead of me who kept bouncing in his chair. This wouldnt have been a problem, but it let out a terrible squeak that was distracting. I wish the chairs were oiled to not do that.The service itself was good and the theater seemed clean. But, this is a food theater experience. I wont return after the changes made to the menu unless new options come back!

Flix Brewhouse is one of best movie experiences around. Miles ahead of Marcus Theater. Comfy black leather seats with hot, mouth-watering food served right to your seat in EVERY theater. And not to mention the gorgeous screen!! The new Dora movie was amazing. Picture fills up the entire screen immersing me in the experience. 5 stars.

We LOVE Flix! The food is awesome (where else can you indulge in a Belgian waffle while you watch your movie?!) and the set up is really well done. The servers are super pleasant and everything is reasonably priced. Even though we live in western Dane Co, this is our go-to theater now!

Me and my brother watched Onward we didnt know they had tables in the theater, but we will someday return to watch a movie together and order something, plus everything was incredible.

I just visited Flix brewhouse for the first time last night and the experience was incredible! I never thought I’d be able to say I went to a movie theater and had some of their beer that they make in house and also have it taste great! Jordan was my server once we got in the theater and he greeted us right away and we had some fun talking about the future of movie experiences as he explained how the place worked to me. The food was great as well! I got a spicy fried chicken sandwich and it tasted amazing as well, so far they nailed food, beer, and movies which is great! I will return to this location over palace and point cinemas any day if they keep the ball rolling the way it started.

So my husband and I have been to Flix a few times great experience great food before hand. Even have recommended it to friends and family. Last time we went the person next to us, bless her hear, had her order forgotten 3 separate times. She told them twice and finally i said something an hour into the movie. Still forgot her order. I was like maybe the were chaotic and had a bad night. So this Saturday I got our tickets for Jumanji through and app on my phone. We showed up around 15-20 minutes late. Reminder it was snowing and we are parents and had to drop our son off at a sitter to get to this movie. We walk in no one at the counter we had to find someone and when we did so and asked for the theater number the womans response was , you are too late to get in you cant see the movie. My response, I paid for tickets and I cant see a movie. Long story short when I ask for a refund I was told call the site we cant refund you. I said your late policy isnt listed in the email I received so I wasnt aware of this policy what so ever. Might want to make sure the site you are advertising through has that information on there. I call the next day to see if I can get more answers than I did the night before. This lady said we do list the late policy on all sites. Im staring at my email thee is NO LATE POLICY described in my email. So a flat out lie. I call the site today and they cant guarantee me a refund. It was to my extreme disappointment this was what I was experiencing for a place that I was referring to so many friends and family. Wont be returning here do to the lack of consistency in service, being lied to and basically no empathy for others.

My family and I love coming to Flix Brewhouse; they have great food, comfortable seats, and friendly staff. Jaelyne, in particular, makes our experiences smooth and easy going. This is a very distinctly different movie theatre. I had the option of ordering a full meal (lunch and dinner) /appetizers/drinks and even free refills on fountain beverages. Complete with rows of tables that even have their menu and a button for which to call a server, the black leather seats made it an extremely comfortable movie experience. There arent many previews, which are limited to what the audience is going to be watching. Definitely hoping to go back there again

An excellent movie and dinner theatre. Very affordable craft brews, around $5, with fantastic options. I had a chocolate stout which was smooth, malty, and awesome, but there were hoppy beers and tons of other beers made on-site. We ordered a Philadelphia pizza. The crust was delicious, crisp, and just the right thinness. The toppings were generously portioned and delicious. We had the spicy pickles for an app, and they were obviously hand battered, with house made ranch. Just a hint of heat, so much flavor, and excellently crisp and juicy. We had the carrot cake for dessert, and it was perfect. The cream cheese frosting was, based on the texture, also house made, and had a fantastic texture and flavor. The cake was moist and every bite scrumptious. The service was awesome and the waitress super friendly. Well definitely be back. $5 Wednesdays are a steal!

Food so good, love the seating, I truly love the place however we were in the smaller theatre yesterday and the screen was very blurry, I’ve never had it happen like that so thought they should look into it. Service is phenomenal

What a great experience! Great beer list and good food, nicely priced. Ill try their house brews next, but they had a favorite barrel-aged stout on their guest taps I could not say no to. I live their silence policy. Whether its phones or loud talking, you get one warning. Next offense and youre booted. Even ordering more food or drink ... No talking to wait staff. Write your order in a slip, press the button and they silently take it away. It was quieter than watching a movie at home, and awesome. Highly recommended. Well be back.

I love coming here food is always great and they have it perfectly timed out between appetizers and the meal. The servers are always nice and the atmosphere is awesome. Nick was our server and did a great job. The GM Nick is also wonderful and always has a smile and wants to know how everything went. He really cares about your experience. Krystal one of the other managers is also wonderful. She makes sure that all guests are helped in the theater before the show. She is there to make sure you have everything you need. We will be back I LOVE this place.

This is an amazing movie theater and brewery! I will drive an extra 20 min out of my way to go to this movie theater over others. The beer and food were delicious! The chairs were very comfortable and had pull out tables for comfortable eating during a movie. The employees were very nice and helpful. The isles were arranged to not bother people around you. Over all it was a great experience and very well thought out!

Saw Goldfinch last week at Flix Madison with friends. Service was excellent thanks to EMILY Stein. Met several staff and all were friendly and helpful.

Flix is the only theater my husband and I go to for movies. We took a friend for his first visit today and he was very impressed. We had excellent service by Sommer, fast and super friendly. I love the seats, cleanliness, and most importantly their beer! All of the food weve had is delicious. I cant recommend this place enough.

This had been my familys favorite places to see a movie and grab a bite to eat, until about a month or so ago when the entire menu changed and was paired down. They also jacked some of the prices. I love their fries, which were great at $5.22 a basket. Now, for the same exact basket, its $7.33. I dont think so! Now were going to make sure we eat beforehand, and stick to the overpriced sodas.

They turned me away for bringing my 4 month old with me. Now, I was turned away before even stepping foot inside. No one asked what movie we were seeing. Just you cant bring them in here because you know babies can be loud. And yet- I notice you charge for children as young as 2. If I was in a movie and my child was causing a problem, fine. But we werent, he wasnt loud when walking in and how can you tell me my 4 month old is going to act worse than a toddler? Absolutely preposterous and I will never support your business.

After noticing that my favorite employee, Max G, had ceased working at Marcus Palace Cinema, I was grief-stricken and forlorn. Each night my eyes wandered about the ceiling, thoughts turning over and over in my head. Where had he gone? Had another establishment received the blessing that is his customer care and service talent? I had to look no further than Flix Brewhouse. After another rainy and miserable day, I clutched the soggy ticket in my pocket. Detective Pikachu would improve my mood. However, what I didnt expect was an event synonymous to the Second Coming. Standing behind the bar, in the parlor, was Max. I had to double take. Could this be? I rubbed my eyes, and he saw me. He asked me if I needed any help at the kiosk or if Id like to order anything. Im gonna be honest, I broke down. Never in my life had I felt so at home and taken care of than that fateful day at Flix, thanks to my favorite employee of all time, Max G.

Brought my kids and nephew and we loved it! Plus, they had a special promo for ordering food, which helped me save $15. Enjoyed the service and the movie!

Great customer service! Shockingly, there werent a lot of people there. Food is good! Potato skins, Burger, and Chicken Ceasar salad were all great! They have a ton of their own brews on tap to choose from. A few board games as well in case you arrive too early like we did.

What an amazing experience. I have been to the one in Des Moines and this far outshined that one. The service in the restaurant was great and Frozen 2 was great.

Flix is a wonderful place. Less expensive than most theaters and great food. We had a little bit of a mishap and somehow myself and another family bought tickets for the same seats at the same time. Unfortunately because I was just with my son and the other group was larger we had to move. The manager comped all of our drinks and food including dessert. I work in the customer service industry and that was spectacular customer service, he didn’t have to do that much but he did to ensure customer satisfaction. Thanks flix!

Took my son to see a movie and have lunch. The staff was extremely friendly and our lunch with a movie was enjoyable. My son even commented how good his burger was, I liked the fries. It was nice to have a deep table top for our food and drinks. I will definitely be back.

We’ve been to this location many times now. This time we saw Toy Story 4 and everything was fantastic. The service was great and the food tasted really good. I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich and onion rings. I’ve had this a bunch of times and it was cooked perfectly. The beer was very good. Film quality was outstanding.We always sit in the very last row of the recliners. Much better than the table and chairs we think (they don’t recline and I don’t think are very comfortable). I kind of wish the recliners were maybe a few rows back but when you recline you are in a great position I think.Keep an eye out for Groupons for here. Only $5 and well worth it. I honestly think movie prices are over priced to begin with so I think $5 is reasonable.

The place was clean and well staffed, theaters were clearly marked, and there were even signs around the entrance with information how how to get tickets/food - even a few tips on how to reorder and what to do if someone in the theater was too loud! Id never seen anything like that before!Our servers, Max and Sommer, were very nice. Easy to understand and excited to have first time visitors. They were informative and friendly. The menu had a nice variety of items; the prices were a little higher than a casual dining restaurant, but not unexpected. Our meals came our promptly and were quite good. Sommer came back to us after the show to make sure we had a good experience and let us know about upcoming events and the loyalty program.The only downside was trying to eat our food in the dark. Once the movie started, it was so dark in the theater I couldnt see my plate and had to just guess what I was eating. Again, not unexpected, just a little difficult.Well totally be back to watch another dinner and movie experience soon!

Ordered a cup of coffee. When someone finally brought it they tried to carry 2 glasses of water and the cup of joe without a tray. The cup got dropped and luckily nobody got hit with the hot coffee. The server returned to wipe up the spilt coffee soon enough but it was 20 minutes before another full cup appeared. Was not impressed.

My girlfriend and I recently moved to the Madison, WI area about a month ago. We are both huge movie fans and this is the best movie experience I have ever had consistently! Their customer service is insanely good! I highly recommend everyone to go here and check them out.

An overall wonderful experience. Modern decor in the lobby. comfortable seating in the theaters which feature the choice between rockers or recliners. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Delicious food. I had the Cuban sandwich, featuring pleasantly tender and juicy sliced pork loin. The spicy chicken sandwich my companion ate was equally tasty. While their extensive list of house and guest tap beers was not in the cards for me on this occasion, my companion enjoyed two or three, and had nothing but wonderful things to say.

Absolutely loved the Flix Brewhouse. Our first time going was a wonderful experience. Great food, beer selection, and service! If you haven’t tried Flix Brewhouse this is one place you have to try. Flix Brewhouse Is our date night destination of choice.

Flix Brewhouse ticket prices are good and the service team is exceedingly kind and professional. This is definitely a step up from Cinemark/AMC. However, dont come to Flix Brewhouse expecting an Alamo Drafthouse experience. This is still a typical commercial movie theater with the painful pre-show advertisements and no sign of creativity or a love for cinema. This place is clearly a knockoff of the aforementioned Alamo, with slightly cheaper tickets and slightly less tasty food. The coffee didnt justify the $4 price-tag, disappointing for a place with a brunch menu, and the loaded fries were just ok. Im glad that theres a good movie theater on the east side, but I 100% wish it was an Alamo instead. Bring back the joy and creativity of going to the movies. Also, the lights that shine on the dining countertops are too bright and distract from the movie screen.

Great beer, high quality food, comfortable seating, a seamless in-movie ordering system. Cant really beat it. And the tickets are cheaper than Marcus theaters. The only downside would be intermittent minimal distractions throughout the movie from servers entering and leaving the theater, so maybe not the best choice for obsessive viewing.

First experience here was to see Aquaman Prime Access, and this place was great! Full service right at your seat for the restaurant menu, alcohol menu, and tradition movie theatre concessions. Prices are very reasonable. They run you a tab and bring you your bill before the movie ends. The screen is massive, so if you sit towards the front sit in the middle of the row. (We were in theater 2.)

I like the settings and food. But I had a bad experience and I hope they can fix such issue. I ordered food and drinks. Although, the receipt has the same order that I ordered but they gave me a receipt with a different persons name. Which seems like they send the points to someone else. I asked them to change the name and they said they cant change the name! So I had to pay it anyhow! Hopefully they fix this issue.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Great selection of pizzas. I would recommend any one of them. The Philly Cheese Steak pizza was my favorite.

New, refreshing take on a dine in theater! The space is clean and open with a cool atmosphere and the dine in system is carefully crafted for minimal distraction during the movie, which is much appreciated! The food is quite yummy (the veggie burger is hands down one of the best I’ve had around) and the drinks are good too (I’m not a big beer drinker, but their mimosas are heavenly) Friendly staff, too and fun events like weekly trivia! This is my new go to for movies!

I’ve been going to movies for a long time. I’m 70 years old. I could hear every word of the dialogue. Quality of the sound was excellent.A wide variety of food choices. In the evening I’m a light eater. The staff suggested the hummus to me. Good choice.Wait staff was on the money and very considerate.I will be going back for the food the beverages the comfy seats.

GREAT experience at Flix Brewhouse last evening. I had a very unpleasant time at the Marcus Palace when they would not allow me to bring my support animal (which I am LEGALLY ALLOWED TO HAVE) inside the theater. They did not understand that I NEED my 4 week old potbellied piglet with me at all times or I have severe, uncontrollable tremors. The staff at FLIX Brewhouse was so so understanding, with a kind young gentleman (Max G.) going as far as bottle feeding my pig while my grandson and I watched the Dora Explora movie (which was a fantastic allegory regarding the current struggle between emigrating Mexicans and border patrol agencies). Hamlet and I WILL be returning soon, and you can bet we’re getting wasted at the Frozen 2 premier.

We just got done watching Bohemian Rhapsody. Fantastic movie. The food and service was supurb. My wife and I think we found our new favorite theater. The small theater size was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a wonderful first impression.

Cheaper then the alternative and a way better experience. Friendly staff and excellent prices. The sound and picture quality is great. The beer is delicious.Changing to one star as I was not allowed to order off the kids menu. Total bs.

Sound was great. Service in the theater was great. Very broad menu, and next time I will try the food and beer. Seats not as comfortable as Marcus recliners. Also strange was the lack of arm rests. But overall a great experience. Ill go again for sure.

From out of town, but everytime Im in Madison the girlfriend and I make time to see a movie at Flix. The food and presentation is outstanding, as is the service experience. The staff is excellent (shout out to Sommer our waitress for taking care of everything we needed!) Definitely get to Flix asap, and the beer is

I bought a Groupon and used the discount for seats for a popular movie a couple nights out. There was a problem in the checkout portion and so I contacted customer service. They responded at within minutes even though it was 10pm and got me the seats I wanted.The movie theatre and food were equally impressive. The screens are huge and it is fun to show up early to enjoy the pre-show entertainment. I have gone back and will continue to do so.

Was back home visiting for a weekend and this was a perfect spot to meet up with a group of friends. Everything from the Saturday morning breakfast/drink menu to service was awesome. And being able to hang out in the bar area after the movie, have a drink and catch up with my friends made it a great experience! Cant wait to go back next time Im in Madison.
