Fun statue of the childrens literature character Pollyanna. it is located on the grounds of the Littleton public library and just a stones throw from the site of the home of the Eleanor H. Porter, who created the character.
We found this statue by chance in the Littleton Public Library yard. I particularly enjoy the whimsy in the art. I am reminded of The Glad Game Pollyanna would play particularly in the hardest times. A great find! Adds to my other finds of Popeye etal in Chester, IL, Superman in Metropolis, IL, Susquatch outside of Index, WA, and Paul Bunyan & Babe The Blue Ox in Bemidji, MN.
So impressed with the town of Littleton! Beautiful walking, sidewalk pianos and friendly people!
Love Littleton! Only takes a second to take the obligatory photo next to Pollyanna, but it must be done!
Nice walkable downtown.
Cute statue, and very nice library.
Love the history of this location!
Best statue ever.
Be Glad!
