Terribly small....not worth the money. It is basically one small room with partitions. It was made out of the old ticket center at Union Station in the lower level. Pretty disappointed.

My 4 year and and I had a great time! The staff was very friendly, showing us how to see the illusions the best way. They did a great job engaging me kiddo and even took pictures for us. Kids under 6 are free, adults are $15. The museum is small, but it was still fun. Thanks for a great time, guys!

Sooo much fun!!!! It is a smaller museum but it has lots of really cool exhibits! The mirror illusion at the end is sooo funnyWe had a groupon so it was less than advertised. I would still have paid the full price! Its a little tricky to find....Upon entrance to Union Station, go down the stairs to the left and walk towards the end of the hall to find the museum!

This was a fun date idea. The only improvement I could think of is I wish there were more. There are some trippy illusions inside. There are some fun ones to do as a couple for sure. There was no line or wait, so we got in right away. Adult tickets, are $15.00 so I think its just a tad expensive for whats available.

Kept my family (wife, 7-year old and 1-year old) easily busy for a couple of hours. Don’t let the size fool you! They have plenty of activities, puzzles and illusions to keep you busy. We even had a live, interactive “show” during our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Had a great time with my family here. Learned alot and the illusions were varied enough to entertain children and adults alike. The star of the show for me was definitely the room that changes how big you and a friend look. I forget the name but luckily I still have a pic. The only drawback I can think of for this place is its smaller than I expected but all in all I had a great time.

What a delightful place. And the young man who showed us what to do made it more enjoyable. We went on Monday, Jan. 20 th. It is a good family place. I loved the tunnel that made it appear the room was tilting when it wasnt. The room of mirrors, the giant kalidascope. Loved it. A little gem of an experience tucked away in the train center. A must visit if you come to Kansas City.

Good attractions but not worth the price. Its just two rooms of small illusions. The only thing thats worth it is the spinning tunnel. Its fun. But paying $30 for two people. Aint going back.

This was tons of fun. Our 10 year old boys really enjoyed the illusions. They had a magician there on a Sunday which was a nice touch. It was a little hard to find, you have to go to the lower level in Union Station. I’m docking it a star cause we thought it was a little pricey for the length of time you could spend in the museum.

Very disappointed. After paying almost $60 for 4 people and $10 to park. It took us all of about 30min. To go thru. Including doubling back on a couple of things. Kids were super excited to go after seeing the photos online but we all left disappointed. Dont waist your money.

Was disappointed in how small the museum was, made less appealing by the Halloween decorations that spoiled some of the illusions. It was $15 for an adult and took us less than an hour to go through everything that was appealing to us. We had a family of 4 with two 9 year olds and they took about 15 min longer with kids going back through some of it. At over $40 for a family of 4, this is not for everyone, feel it should be half the price or included with science city.

Review №38

For our family of 6 the cost was $93.16 with tax.Our 3 students had to pay adult entry fee since they did not have their student id with them. When our kids are out with us parents they dont bring their student ids. In fact, not sure if they ever carry those.I think its a silly rule. Looking at them its obvious they are not adults so to charge them that way was frustrating.Regardless there was a couple fun things in the museum but most of it was not.Definitely not worth the money. For a hundred dollars we could of went elsewhere and got more for our money.

This museum isnt very impressive. Its quite short and most of the exhibits you can find on the internet. The holograms were pretty cool though. There are a few exhibits you can interact with and some cute photo opportunities, if youre so inclined. With the exception of one lady, most of staff seemed quite disengaged. We were told a staff member would be in the gallery to photograph us both if we wanted, we didnt see anyone though. My boyfriend and I went. We had an okay time, spent about an hour. Probably wont revisit. $15 per adult.

Sy

The initial presentation was ridiculously rushed. The illusions were basic things that most people have already seen. Definitely not worth the price.

Li
Review №42

While it was certainly cool, admission is slightly overpriced. Seemed to be about 10-15 interactive experiences and 20 pictures/illusions. Family of 4 was $43. Probably more of a $33 experience, but a good time. Spent just over an hour there.

Be
Review №43

Small and underwhelming. The museum space is very small and contains very few illusions that a regular person hasn’t seen or heard of before. There are a few nice photo opportunities if that’s what you come for but for the most part the space is small, the illusions are common, and it’s a very expensive experience. I felt like we spent most of our time trying to see how long we could entertain ourselves as to not be disappointed at the entry cost.

This is not worth the money to come to this exhibit. I was told to plan on spending an hour to an hour and a half here. My kids were done in 30 min and ready to go. We went as part of a group and we were not a large group, but it was so crowded. Its a neat concept, but for the price point I would have rather gone somewhere else where we could have spent several hours. In addition, I was charged $10 to park for the 45 min we spent in Union Station.

We bought tickets online to save time. When we arrived, the ticket line was enormous without a separate line for those who had already purchased. We asked the man at the counter if we needed to wait in line if we already purchased tickets, and he responded, I dont know. I guess so. We went to the website to see if we could call for information, but there wasnt any number listed! Thirty minutes later we made it back to the ticket counter. Well keep you updated after our experience....

Sh
Review №69

I won post any pictures because that will take away from the experience. The wait time was ridiculous, and unorganized. There needs to be a separate entrance for those who bought tickets online. There is no reason that there is ONE person taking/selling tickets, AND giving 5 minute instructions per person. There should be one person selling the tickets, and another person giving the instructions to make things more efficient. There should also be another entrance for those who bought tickets online. Its a little concerning that there is no benefit of ordering online, and I will keep a close eye on my credit card statement now. Not sure I trust that, respectfully.I would suggest using the person who is selling product, and just escort people down that little hallway to the left behind the register. Its worth a try at least. While I understand the other reviews that these are all old concepts of illusion that have been seen before, that wasnt really the point for me. Its something to do to get out and be active and engaging with others. We complain that KC needs more, then complain once someone tries to bring that.I would still suggest fixing that front entrance, and adding more employees or volunteers. Overall, our visit was about 45 minutes, and another 30 minutes of waiting in line. It could be longer if you read every info panel, so take your monies worth.

My family & I saw this on a Facebook ad and thought it was cool, so we checked it out, and after going through it, I was dissapointed. Some of the things they had were cool and interesting and fun, but the line to get into the place took longer than actually going in and looking around. It’s tinier than what I imagined it would be- and definitely not worth the $15 ticket price (it should be more like $10 or even a little lower than that)Plus, (and this might not be their fault), the place was extremely packed and it was so small, it was hard to view some of the stuff. At the end of the day, this is what i’m going to say: If you have the money to spend, go for it. It’s a pretty cool place, and if you like posting on social media, it’s pretty instagrammable, but if you’re tight on cash and like “should we do this or science city or an escape room?”, choose science city. You’ll get more for your buck there.
