The location was perfect, close to evrything, walking distance to cafés and shops, kids loved the pool and beach.

Incredible place!, nice private (for Hilton Head) cottage, each in a little cul de sac esk cove. All located in Shipyard, a more private plantation. Cottage has a terrific front & back porch (+ a canal in back), wonderful master bedroom, + a separate bedroom with twin beds, w/its own private bath. Large family rm, dining rm & full kitchen and laundry. Transport to private ocean beach, and pool. Professional friendly staff. Not new & tight parking but real nice. We really enjoyed our time at cottages. Make sure to rent bikes and buy a locker at the private beach. Easy bike ride to calligany or private beach

Nice place quite, pool and hot tub nice.

Location was great, plenty of room for our group. Our family - children & grandchildren total 11 so we get 2 units to spend a week together. Furnishings old not real comfortable. We play a lot of games chairs took up too much room at the table. Unit needs complete renovation, floors, doors, baths and appliances. Drafty bathroom and small.

Unit was not maintained well but the surrounding area gets 5 stars for activity. Loved biking along paths - many family friendly, scenic routes to choose from.

We came down here for a timeshare presentation with Spinnaker resorts. They offered to put us up here, but tried to force us to stay in their hotel. After lots of arguing, we got here. Great beach, but the accommodations were very dated. A lot of fire ants on the grounds.Also the incentive was supposed to be a cruise, well... It turns out that it would cost more in their fees than it would be to just go on your own.I doubt I would return.

I have really liked it here. The unit is nice and large with a good size bedroom and bath. Its s little far from direct beach access but there are plenty of bike trails to take there that are nice. Wish I could have stayed longer but the hurricane is forcing us to evacuate. I would come back here again

Liked the location of the property to various things in the area. My particular unit was not especially great.

I wasnt impressed. Carpet had no padding, paint peeling in places had to drive to the beach. I know if I ever go to Hilton Head again Ill take my own bike. Overall Hilton Head wasnt my forté.

Place was quiet which is a plus . The cottage needs to be renovated looks old and it looks like needs some pluming maintenance. The hot tub was out of service in the Pool area. Nice location close to beach. This is my second stay with spinnaker. Pleased with blue water resort

Nice places to stay. The set-up and layout are nice. The decor is not up there but suffices for the week. Kitchen is adequately stocked for 4 but dont expect to make a 7 course meal with whats provided. Lots of little wild things outside close by, and pools are just a skip away.

Significantly underwhelming.The rooms are NOT bad, dirty, or poor by any means. However, we have stayed in nice places that deserve 5 stars, and this is fat from one of them. We were told heated pools, but either there are NOT heated pools or the heat was not turned on. We could only access the lazy river and main pool after attending a sales pitch, and we had limited number of visits (not that we wanted to as it was cold). There discounts and perks after attending the pitch were quite nice.While there is not direct access to the beach from the cottages, there is parking and easy access to a non-crowded, private beach only a couple minutes drive away. Overall, the location is decently located, but could have more pedestrian and bike access points for ease. From the cottages, you have to circle out through some of the roads to get out of the development.Our A/C was not working come later in the week (for several odd reasons), and my windows did not have screens. I was unable to sleep with at least the windows open or get eaten by bugs. Maintenance was not available come the evening when we realized this issue. We had to do some improvising ourselves to clear the drain pan so we could sleep comfortably.Not an unnice place and we had a nice vacation overall, but there have been far too many issues to consider returning.

The location here in the heart of Hilton Head island is fantastic, and the gate at the entrance is a nice addition. My qualm with the cottages is that they are old and very dated. The exterior doors have large enough air gaps to see light clearly through and therefore feel cold air seeping through from the outside. The interior doors all have difficulty closing and very few actually latch, even when closed forcefully. The cabinets are small and are not anywhere close to level. Overall it is a nice place with a down to earth, beach cottage feel but they desperately need to be updated and repaired.

I have thoroughly enjoyed everything...very accommodating staff. Nice and quiet!

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottages. Spacious rooms and centrally located to restaurants and beaches.

The cottage was nice. Tv in king size bedroom didn’t work. No channels at all. My biggest complaint is that the day of check out, which was 10am, we left for an early breakfast and when we returned at 7:45 am the housekeeper was already in our cottage, she was not cleaning anything and instead going through drawers in the bedroom. THANK GOODNESS we had already packed up!!!! She didn’t speak English and proceeded to kick us out of our room !! We were in the car by 7:58 am! Needless to say, i called the resort ( was told no one could help me with my complaint till Monday ) and Expedia to complain , as of this review i have not heard from either party. It’s been 5 days since my initial complaint. I will be following up today. But BEWARE- housekeeping watches you and they obviously come into your room as they please!!!!!! And when you aren’t there!!!!!!

Great location, but these cottages are in real need of renovations

Absolutely loved it! Beautiful settings, not far from the beach. Very spacious and Master suite is on first floor allowing us to have our own space separate from the children. Pool within walking distance for the kids. Carpet needed cleaning or replaced. Wasp nests on both porch and deck. Moldy shower curtains.

Our Cottage was very roomy there would have been plenty of room for an extra couple if needed. It was close to golf courses and the beach. The grounds were kept very nice and the front desk was responsive to anything we needed, when we wanted to add an extra day they easily accommodated us.

The cottage we stayed in was perfect. Very clean and idyllic. Check in was difficult. We went to the address listed for this property The security guards saw our res in the computer and gave us a parking pass but they couldnt tell where we needed to go to actually check in. Apparently individuals as well as several different management companies rent the properties in this neighborhood. You will have to call Spinnaker resorts to get their address to check in. The staff there was very helpful and courteous. Once we ironed that out the rest of the week was excellent. Something to consider though is that although the beach is not fay away on a map you cannot walk directly to it. There are only a few points of entry /exit from the neighborhood so the beach is effectively about a mile away. This is easy and fun on the numerous bike paths through the area. The neighborhood (Shipyard) has their own access point to the beach though with parking if you didnt want to bike or walk. The cottage had a pool with a hot tub very nearby. There was a pretty pond across the small street and yes there were alligators in it. The landscaping was excellent. Felt comfortable letting my kids ride the paths throughout the area.

Cozy, homey place to stay. It is different from the regular hotel/motel vacation. Love love loved it!! Very clean, very nice cottages! Family friendly or romantic get away this place is literally perfect for either one!

Great layout and amenities. Beautiful area (just watch out for wildlife). Dead (palmetto?) bugs under furniture werent great for crawling babies who like to put things in their mouth. Yuck! Decor felt like grandmas house but was nice. Beds were super comfortable. The whole place could use a little TLC & updating.Edit: we figured out after we left that wed picked up bedbugs from our cottage :(

A perfect place to bring a family. The 2 & 3 bedroom cottages also offer 2 full bathrooms and a half bath on the main level! Beautiful and serene setting must perfect for a relaxing HHI vacation! Multiple restaurants and shops just outside the complex as well.

The Cottages were very comfortable and made our stay great! The kitchen and laundry was very convenient and everything was working and clean. My only complaint was that it was really hard to find the place where you check in. It took us forever to find it and I think that specific directions should be made available when you make the reservation. Besides that, the location of the cottages was superb, conveniently located with a lot of conveniences around. We would definitely stay here again.

Weve been staying here for about 20 years and we absolutely love it. Its clean, comfortable, and the pool is right outside our cottage. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

My husband book our anniversary trip for the 3/15- 3/18 to the Cottage in South Carolina. On our way, we called the Cottage to let them know were on our way. The representative from the Cottage told us they didnt have Any documents stating that were supposed to be arrive on March 15th. The person from quality marketing and promotion booked our trip for the wrong day, so we paid 200 for a hotel Friday night. The person from quality marketing and promotion booked our trip for March 16th through the 19th. My husband and I, left the hotel at noon on March 16th after spending $200 for one night .We called the cottage again to confirm that we supposed to be there... Not until 5:00pm Quality marketing and promotion contact the cottage to let them know that we book a room... I am very disappointed in my stay at the cottage and the lack of communication with quality marketing and promotion!!!!!! I could not enjoy myself because we spend an extra $200 for a room and then we still have to worry about a place to stay!!!!!!!!! Very unprofessional!!!!! We did not receive a refund for their screw up

This has been the WORST rental we have ever rented in Hilton Head. The cottages by Spinnaker are DUMPS! The paint was extremely dirty--the vents were dirty and the ceiling had about a dozen watermarks on it! The entire place smelled musty--even with the air on it had an odor! If this is the face of Spinnaker, we are finished ever renting from them again!!! The hot tub wasnt operational. For safety sake, it should have had a cover over it.

The house we got wasnt perfect. My family hates it but I dont mind it. We had some issues but nothing major. Definitely not the nicest place to stay for vacation but I personally dont mind.

Great time riding my own bike on the many bike paths. Saved $ in lieu of renting. I am presently at the large pool at Spinnaker Resort, who also owns the Cottages along with Resorts in Ormond Beach and Branson, Missouri., which I plan to visit next few years. The Cottages are in Shipyard gated community of many resorts. I love the privacy of the Cottages, which is on the Shipyard Golf Club. Its very nice that it also links to two entrances on Hwy. 278 and on Pope Avenue, where they also connect to bike paths on those main roads. Many restaurants on both main roads.Needless to say, I am finally enjoying retirement and getting plenty of exercise.

Interesting place. 3 bedrooms with plenty of room. It had a lot of things wrong and a lot right. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, glasses etc. nice deck. Bad side-peeling ceilings, lights out, etc. overall good stay.

Liked the place. Good setting and gave a home feel. Very comfortable accommodation.

If you are very healthy and can walk up several flights of steps, then you may like all the walking up and down stairs. If, like us, you have trouble going up and down stairs, you may need to go elsewhere on Hilton Head Island.

The tub was broken, no restrooms by the pool. They had no ceiling fans in the cottages. The cottage was nice an cozy overall but several things were broken in our unit. Would love to come back here once they are updated.

This is a great location and very nice complex. The patched ceilings from past leaks and rather dated and tired furnishings are the only thing that needs attention. Very clean, however from a housekeeping perspective. I would stay here again, but the interior could use a refresh soon.

Beautiful area to vacation! The lodging isnt the fanciest, but still plenty of room and enjoyable. Clean swimming pools and nice bike trails.

The cottages are a nice resort, the one Im in has 3 rooms and can hold two people each in them and a fold out couch so this makes it perfect for family events.

Quiet, comfortable, two-bedroom condo with 2.5 bathrooms on Hilton Head Island. These condos are owned by Spinnaker. There is a pool onsite. The beach is 1.5 miles away.
