Nice family resort attentive staff beautiful scenery on the sound side of the island fishing pier is a huge plus

Our business relationship started on poor terms. You lied to us about the duration of the presentation and your people used despicable sales tactics to coerce a sale. When we tried to leave, your rep used blatant intimidation and threw his keys(!) Unfortunately, every attempt to leave was met with a revolving barrage of sales vipers who did nothing but hound us.Your usage policies are inane. Truly. I’ve never heard of such awful customer experience. Worst of all, your wonderful salespeople failed to disclose these atrocious policies. To start, you penalize customers who don’t use the timeshare within the first year. Failure to make this booking results in exponential added costs to use the property in the future.To make matters worse, I need to book a vacation over six months in advance!Fortunately, I was able to make a booking. Unfortunately, you booked me into an abandoned building that wasn’t even fully constructed. Yes, you read that right. You booked me into a literal construction zone. Naturally, it was money well-spent. Word of advice: rebuild your entire rotten organization. Best of all: you want me to give my timeshare to my children, and you’ve written the contract so that will happen. You want my children to pay thousands for your garbage service? Leave them out of it.If this seems personal, it’s because it is. I’ve never felt so insulted by a company. When I tried to reasonably discuss a release, you gave me the run-around and offered no support. I should have expected nothing less.I would never recommend buying from this company! Absolutely love Bluewater. Went through serious withdrawal when it closed due to COVID-19 for our normal April stay. Rescheduled for November and life is again ALL GOOD. Comfortable, well laid out rooms. Gorgeous Intercoastal Waterway views. Numerous activities.

Condos sit on Intercoastal Waterway. Beautiful views. Condos decorated in Low Country motif. Set apart from town and traffic. Love to come here yearly for a month!! Relaxing and low-key!!!

Nice place if you are a vacation timeshare owner. Prices for ownership are not bad, and this is a great location. No pressure from sales staff and no.obligatilms.

Most of the staff has been so amazing and helpful. Doing some of the activities is so worth it. Highly recommend the tie dye shirts!

The marina area was my favorite as it offered amazing sunsets. Accommodations were nice and had a balcony with a view to the pool and marina.

Expecting to stay at Carolina Club in Shipyard Plantation (where we are owners), we were really disappointed to have to stay in the Bluewater Resorts due to a leak in our assigned unit. We like the Shipyard beach access and the near proximity of Coligny Plaza, not to mention some of our favorite restaurants. Because we are Carolina Club owners, we were still given access to the beach at Shipyard, so it kind of made up for the change. We also missed the trees, various paths, free bikes, and seclusion we were used to. On the other hand, we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of Bluewater: the lazy river pool and free kayak tours and putt-putt golf. In the end, we were just happy to be in Hilton Head.

Nice place. They want you to buy a timeshare if you want that then this is the place for you.

Beautiful resort close to National Wildlife Preserve, and on the inland waterway. Very long extended pier and covered deck out into the waterway, good for lounging, stargazing, reading etc. Kayaking, shuffle board, swings along waterway, grilling and picnic by waterway, fishing and bait available, ping pong, the best workout facility, movie and reading room, indoor pool, outdoor lazy river and pool. Good area to run/walk/bike on the miles of dedicated bike trails all around the island. Short drive to very nice public beach areas with easy parking and access. Short drive to outlet malls, shopping, entertainment, park, nature museum, etc.

I cant say enough good about the Bluewater Resort. Weve enjoyed it for years!Dan

In a word, AWESOME! I was treated by my Niece and Nephew who flew from Las Vegas to drive me and my sister there. It was an early birthday gift. The suite was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Good accommodation and facilities, pretty quiet in April. Watch out for alligators on site.

Loved this resort. Floor layout perfect for 4 people. Large bathrooms, lovely patio overlooking the outdoor pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location Central to pretty much everything on Hilton Head island.

Was a really nice place...but Ive seen better.

We stayed with a friend at Bluewater Resort a year ago. Spinnaker called and offered for us to visit with a 90 minute sales presentation. I asked five times would we be staying at Bluewater Resort and was told yes everytime. When we went to book, we were informed that we would be staying at a hotel instead. A hotel with terrible reviews and bugs. I requested to cancel within the 30 day cancellation period. I was placed on hold for more than two hours and finally left a message for customer service to cancel. I do not recommend Spinnaker Resorts.

Very quiet, scenic resort. Spacious rooms. Enjoyable amenities and a short drive to public beach access. Great for vacationers of all ages. Music by the two outdoor pools would be a great touch. That would be my only recommendation.

Serviceable at best. Here’s why:1. Spacious suites for a family vacation2. Outdated interiors3. Will spring a “resort fee” on you upon check-in and then have the gall to ask you to:1. Wash your own pool towels (no service provided)2. Upon checkout, take out your own refuse and wash the dishes3. Buy your own toiletries if you run outAt any hotel or Airbnb I’ve never had the same request put on the guest, and I’m certainly not on vacation to do chores. Just be aware that this resort does not compete on service.

I stayed here with some friends. It is very beautiful and relaxing.

We had a really great time at this resort. Suites were clean and spacious, facilities were clean and nicely laid out, a plethora of activities and helpful staff! The pool and lazy river was a constant hit, public grills, kayaking, basketball, gym, indoor pool, scheduled activities... everything was amazing! Ill keep this short and sweet. However lastly, the only thing that was TERRIBLE upon first arriving was the parking deck under our building needed the trash chute to be cleaned out. Smelled like a dead animal had gotten stuck. It was right across from the elevator, which made the elevator wreak as well! We were on the 2nd floor and noticed that the chute was overflowing with trash on that level. Not sure how high up it went. But it got cleaned up the next day and all was well. Cant wait to go back to have a family friendly relaxation visit next year!

Some of the activities were exaggerated. They said they had pickle ball, but the ball wouldnt even bounce on it. The activities staff even said there was no way to play.

Overall staff friendly and helpful when we could find them.: Need to add 24/7 on site staff at reception area and around resortUnit basically clean but the following needs attention ::Portable DeHumidifier in kitchen pantry was very disturbing. It was loud and ran off agnd on all day and allNight, pantry heat was very hot when you opened door; fire hazard?:black strip at bottom of main entrance door needs to be replaced ; easy for insects or anything crawling to enter; can see outside flooring : need to replace blender and add more baking pans such as muffin pan: Each time the commode was flushed in the bathroom next to bedroom with two beds, it sounded like something was coming through the wall.: Need to add more adult oriented activities.....live band , open or cash bar with resort specials, free shuttle to beach and shopping center:Activity Center should remain open later and staffed by additional staff to remain at center during activities.:Bikes were fun.....just fix the bellsHappy that Resort main Entrance was gated ; not sure about on site security 24/7 , did not any. Consider gated bridge walkway with lights to Hudson’s, Dockside and Boathouse.

This was where we went to hear our sales pitch.Our salesman was GREAT!Place was MUCH nicer than our free hotel.(SR Hotel)These are the units they try to sell you...GORGEOUS!NOT CHEAP!Im sure if 5 star accommodations are what youre looking for, at a budget price, look into Spinnaker Resorts.

Very beautiful very nice with a very very good sale pitch

We had the most fabulous weeks stay at Bluewater the third week of August. Kayaking off the pier nearly every morning... within walking distance of great restaurants and the best thrift stores in the state. I know...cause I try to hit them all

Always a fabulous vacation here! Over the years being here in the perfect weather of May, we love the spacious room with a lovely view of Skull Creek and the resort grounds around the lazy river pool. We also appreciate the warm indoor pool option on cooler days or when we’ve had enough sun. We are pleased at the added amenities this year of a dolphin cruise, sunset cruise, and improved kayaking adventure. This resort is well maintained and staff are friendly and helpful. Having several highly rated restaurant choices within walking distance is a plus. BIG disappointment this year was the non-functioning lazy river. It’s not been working for the week we’ve been here and others said it wasn’t working last week. That’s the reason I gave the 4 star rating. Hope it gets repaired soon!

The lazy river isnt the best. But overall I had a nice time.

I was only there for a tour, but my god! This place in itself was already a very good looking place to spend a vacation (prices not being accounted for), but I give all my stars to the man who gave us a tour of the place, Mr. Mike. He gave the most upfront, relatable, and enthusiastic tour Ive ever experienced. He was funny, and simply wanted to help find you and your family a great place to stay. I would certainly consider checking this place out!

Four handsome buildings, each apartment has balcony with table and 4 chairs. Three buildings (elevators) face pool with Lazy River and a natural lagoon with elusive alligator. King size beds with lots very sheets and pillows. We have three flat screen TVs but only use one briefly. Blue Water is well maintained, lovely landscaping and views of in let and distant marsh. Close by restaurants.

We go here every year and love it.

A truly beautiful place, the grounds are very well manicured. The staff is very polite and friendly. The condos are perfectly appointed and comfortable.

We enjoyed our kayaking experience with Tyler. The lazy river at the pool was so relaxing. Our unit had everything that we needed and then some. We will definitely consider going back next year. Although we decided that time share isn’t the way for us to go, Brett was very understanding and didn’t make us feel pressured.

The Bluewater Resort is a small and wonderful place with great views! Theres just enough to do for the family on site, and plenty of activities to do in the surrounding area. Nice place for relaxing and watching the sunset!

Beautiful place had an awesome time

Visited here for the second time as a guest of my sisters family. Lovely location, secluded from lots of tourist activity, yet close enough to enjoy dining and the beachfront with just a short drive. The boat dock was so relaxing in the evening where we saw dolphins in the water!

Great place to stay

Drove down from Charleston SC and spent three nights here with the family. Everything has its pros and cons so here are mine.The location is great for any water activity. The rooms are fantastic. We had a suite with couches and coffee table, 3 bed rooms, a whirlpool and a great kitchen. The pool is clean and the activity spots are well taken care of which is expected for the price and reputation. Everything was perfect except for my cons mentioned below.The elevator is very very slow so we always took the stairs to the 4th floor. The freezer wasnt able to freeze freeze pops that were in for more that 24 hours. The grills are the worst part. Every group of guests told us that they are horrible while walking by as we grilled our burgers. They will not go above 220 F because all the heat goes out the bottom. (see pictures) Also there are no real BBQ utensils so it is a pain to use the grills.At 10:02 PM a staff member walked up to us laying quietly in the lazy river with the words yall have to leave now, I have to lock the pool down.I thought that was very rude but thats not the resorts fault.the hot tub was also broken during our time there.Overall it was a nice trip but those small faults made it a bit annoying.It would definitely be worth the money if everything was working well.I can recommend it!

Honestly, pretty unimpressed. The facilities are mediocre, the pools are small. The children in the pools are very rude and are not properly supervised. I was shocked that the management did not better monitor what was going on in the pools. The room we stayed in was oddly designed. There was not sufficient furniture in the living room or balcony. And the balcony was tiny. There are sales people doing timeshare tours constantly. The only nice thing was the view of the inner coastal waterway from our room. I would not stay here again. We usually stay at Marriotts on Hilton Head (and have a Marriott timeshare), and they are far far superior. Stay away from this one.

Rooms are spacious, layout is great and fully supplied kitchen and bath balconies. Nice resort with pool, lazy river, gym, boat dock, basketball half court. Wonderful staff and plenty of parking. Great for families and couples. Golfing or tennis at Country Club of Hilton Head or Golden Bear and great restaurants nearby. Would definitely like to stay here more than a week!

Beautiful 4.75, relaxing place to be. I love being able to see the waterway. I really enjoy staying at Bluewater! Most of the buildings have covered parking under the building, but ours had insufficient parking along the streets. They provide a workout room & game room. They also have planned activities to enjoy if you are interested. Few people would care about TV, but it was difficult to find what was on with the guide from the 90s where you turn to one channel & wait for it to scroll through all of the 100+ channels. HBO was provided.

Beautiful two bedroom unit, pool area was wonderful and fitness area had nice equipment. The grounds were fantastic.Would have been nice to have a smart tv in the living area so you can use your own Netflix account

Beautiful place

Great location! Its secluded enough and right on the water as well with a private dock. The pools are always nice and they have a lazy river in the main pool area. This is a great place to stay on vacation!

Great customer service but first impression of room terrible

What a beautiful resort. Has a sauna and indoor pool. Enjoyed their Sip and Paint. Close to everything.

Our return to Bluewater felt a treat. Although off the beach front of Hilton Head, the islands many paths make attractions an easy bike ride away, while allowing us to stay in a quiet neighborhood in great comfort. The resorts many amenities include everything but the beach. We could bike back for lunch and enjoy several different swimming pools, as well as golf, tennis, or just being together in the luxury units.

Stayed with some friends in their timeshare and had a wonderful time. The property, grounds and the suite, were very well kept up, clean and quiet (away from the kids pool!) Enjoyed the gym and indoor pool as well as the outside pool. Spa equipment was all clean and in very good shape. First day we were there, there were a LOT of ants around the edge of the pool. The next day the ants were completely gone. Garbage chutes and recycling were all convenient and kept tended. Cant wait to return.

Excellent resort. Living quarters are spacious, vivid colors remind you of the Caribbean. Close to excellent restaurants. Onsite amenities make this a topnotch choice for a vacation.

The fun masters were very engaging. The folks that run the activities should get a big high five. The fishing/kayak guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, the staff at the shack were also high caliber, and genuinely enthusiastic. The physical facility was impeccable. Outstanding, exceeded my expectations. There is nothing that anyone could have done to make my visit more enjoyable.

The condos are extremely spacious. Plenty of parking. Pools are nice but if you are not waiting at the main pool to grab a lounge and/or table you are out of luck. Not sure what the resort fee pays for two days I had to use the indoor and smaller pool due to the lack of seating at the main pool. Plenty of deck to add more lounge and seating. However, the second smaller pool has plenty available. Went twice to the smaller pool and both times I was one of about 6 people. Ants all over the sidewalks. Too many bees flying around pool area. Activities are not very appealing. It would be nice to have access to an eatery/snack bar on sight. To me the resort is just okay if you have younger kids.

Beautiful resort

We rented the little cats for the 2.5 hour tour. Bailey was our tour guide. What a great time . I would recommend them to for folks that don’t mind getting jostled around and splashed. You will get wet, you will hit some good bumps and you will have a great time doing it. Our first time out we had two smaller kids on the tour and they were not up for all the bumps and speed. We went back early because they were done. Bluewater took us out again the next morning with no extra charge to do the whole tour. They go about 30 mph and you see some beautiful areas around the small islands. Awesome time. My 16 and 20 year we old kids could have been out there all day. Me too. Highly recommend.

Great place! Would be perfect if it had an onsite restaurant or small food mart, and evening entertainment such as movie nights, arcade, pool table etc similar to other resorts.

Wow!!! What an awesome experience. The time share we stayed in with our family was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked and fed 6 adults and 2 kids in a 3 bedroom unit. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. The pool and lazy river were very clean and relaxing. The fishing and crabbing off the pier was good too. My sons favorite part was watching a 6 foot shark swim under the pier. My favorite part was relaxing with my brother in law by the firepit smoking our cigars watching the sunset! I look forward to returning with them.

Loved this place! We were building 4 (the newest building I think) on the 5th floor with amazing views of Skull Creek. It was very clean and quiet (except for the restaurant that was right behind us that was a little noisy at times). The swimming pool with a lazy river was very nice. Would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. My only real complaint is that this is a timeshare community and we were confronted 3 times about coming to a complementary lunch or dinner and learning more about the resort, which is really a sales pitch. Dont be tempted!

A well run resort set in beautiful surroundings at Hilton Head SC. Rooms are well appointed and maintained with balconies facing inwards towards the pools. Only criticism is that some of the childrens activities were cancelled at short notice for little apparent reason. Perhaps because the resort was pretty empty in April, still, disappointing for our tribe.

I went to this resort/hotel to view there time share property. Of course the property very was nice, having a waterfront view, indoor/outdoor pools, arobics room, family center, grills, pavilions, and etc.... I was assisted by this sexy and BEAUTIFUL Russian lady, LOVED HER!!!!! a little long on the presentation though, but I didnt mind!!!! She did a really good job, and I wouldve purchased IF, when I got my initial call from Spinnaker, they wouldve given me a lower price for the package to come visit. They called me about 5 or 6 more times after I paid for a vacation already. But the latter calls from them offered me a better deal, about a $200 dollar lesser vacation package AND more free gifts!!! The vacation sales representative told me when after I bought my vacation package that I couldnt ever cancel from that day forward, (by law I have 3 days to cancel if I wish). When I got here to S.C., it was kinda hard finding things due to the small and lack of street and business signs. I was suppose to get $100 back, they said they could put that towards a dinner cruise, NOT!!! Not trying to be negative but I just dont care for this area to EVER COME BACK!!!!

Resort was good but terrible customer service. We signed up for a fun boat activity one day. We got ready to head out and it was so windy we thought the 2 kids would get sick if we went so we tried to reshchedule but they wouldn’t call us back. Then they charged us $100 for it. We didn’t keep anyone else from going because there were only 2 people that went. It’s not like we didn’t show up. They kept saying oh we have to charge you and I’ll have to get my boss to call you etc. Never called back and charged my credit card.

This is a must got go type of place... Its AWESOME...
