This is a great Park for walking, especially if you have a dog. The trails are mostly covered by mature trees so its quite pleasant on hot summer days. Theres also a variety of trails. Most are wide and paved, but there are also wood chip and gravel/dirt trails. The latter can be narrow, so have a mask handy if you need to pass someone and cant keep six feet of distance.Rock Creek runs through the middle of the park with two bridges to cross it. There are parking lots at the north and south ends of the park with clean wheelchair accessible bathrooms. There is plenty of overdue maintenance that needs to happen, but not so much that it loses its fifth star.
A delightful walk in the forest. Has toilets year round and parking. The trails are short, but its still a fun outing for those housebound.
What a fantastic getaway spot in Hillsboro! I drive by this place everyday on the way to work and finally decided to stop and spend some time. There are fantastic trails, some paved, others with bark dust or packed gravel. There are ample places to picnic, and great bridges overlooking the creek going through. Nature was definitely out as we saw many different animals - including rabbits! I definitely recommend taking a stroll around!
This is a great place to hike or walk your dog! It is about 1.5 miles in total. Some of it is paved and the rest is either bark or gravel. I would not recommend it for people with mobility because some parts are steep. There are two parking lots, so it is easy to find parking. There are bathrooms in both parking areas that are usually open in the summer and an outhouse on the baseline side during the winter. There are times when parts of the trail are closed because they are flooded. Overall it is a beautiful, peaceful walk in the woods!
A well-kept Hillsboro city park. It was lovely to wander through the forest, hearing the birds. The materials that make up the trails vary and make walking quite comfortable. Rock Creek runs through it. There are enough trails that a lot of people can use the area without it being crowded.
Loved our morning run through this park. The bird song and dense forest took me back to my childhood in New England! The aroma of the trees was redolent. The park is closely situated to the main highway but the woods dampen the sound and it is as if you are alone in a big forest. Would recommend for a short run/walk.
A little manicured and busy for my taste but still a lovely place to walk. Redwoods, conifers and a nice diversity of bird species to look at!
Nice clean park.. little parking... But its nice
This place is a really great hiking trail, there is so much to see and explore! When I went there as a kid with my mom I loved it! We always liked to explore new paths and such to find new areas to see! I would defiantly recommend going here!
Nice park. Google says you can ride bikes here. You cannot. They have a lot of signs and painted curb saying no bikes. Very lovely walk though. Paved trails with some well maintained trails that are not paved off to the sides.
Absolutely gorgeous, pictures dont do it justice! I had a very good time walking here today, they keep it very clean here :) there are several nice paths to take, picnic tables, a gazebo, a water fountain, and restrooms. Overall very relaxing and well kept, totally recommend
Amazing park with nice beautiful trails! This is a mostly shaded area and has water, but its very stagnant and not moving or fresh. Overall its a very relaxing Pacific Northwest park and a must see for anyone!
Nice city walking park. Even in the Winter. Lots of water to see and many paths for spending an afternoon with the kids.
I love this nature park. Been taking my kids for years. Its a pretty easy walk. Some up and down hills. A few bridges.
Clean trails and beautiful vistas. There is a Physical distancing guidance sign but very few people wearing masks or keeping distance; one person even ridiculed me for wearing one around him and his kids. This had been on my list for my new town and glad to have checked it off.
Lovely place to walk around and get a bit of nature in the suburbs. Im used to seeing squirrels, but was pleasantly surprised to see a few rabbits as well.
Great park for a shady toddler walk on a hot and sunny day! Theres variety- bridges and a little creek, tree stumps, pavement and gravel, without even walking a mile. And thank you somebody for having open and stocked restrooms, that are cleaned often!!!
Beautiful place for a small walk. Worth the visit.
Beautiful small park in the heart of Hillsboro...a great place to detach and let loose from the busy city....a world away
Its a good park over all for a short walk.
Really nice easy walk. Makes you feel in the trees but also close in the city. Nice clean path, dogs are allowed and quiet.
We hike here every once in a while and always enjoy it. It feels very tucked away and not like you are in the middle of Beaverton. Weve seen bunnies and owls, had pooh stick races at the bridges, and walked off plenty of anxiety here.
Performed a wedding. Its at fine venue.
Nice little neighborhood park. Nothing to complain about
Really nice little tucked away park with good trails.
What a great place to go for walk or run. Very well tended paths and.plenty of parking. Not overly crowded.
Amazing place for relaxation and leisurely fun. Has some great trails and a creek to take a dip in too.
Great place for walking or getting out in the open space
Wish Tri-Cities Wa. Had trails THIS pretty
A very nice place for a walk. Dog friendly.
Great place for a quick hike, with many cute birds. Unfortunately park is surrounded by roads that can be heard all around.
Fun trail to walk with kids. Pleasant to walk under the trees and feel the cool summer breeze.
Awesome and clean park/walking paths.....just wished it had more parking. Aloha
Excellent relaxing walk! Although its gotten a little busy since COVID-19.. its still a nice walk! :)
So peaceful and serene...a great place to reconnect with nature and be grounded during the pandemic.
Spring has sprung! This is a great place to take a walk and ease the mind.
Beautiful place. Often if you stay on the trails you can get through with out mud in the winter. Its a beautiful place. The water rises when it rains. Just be aware. Often joggers and dogs walking. Restrooms on the Baseline side but closed for winter (Nov.- ?).
Always a family favorite! Very clean walking paths. We like to meet friends here and have a snack at the picnic table and hit the trails to burn some energy! If your lucky you might see a spotted owl , that we named freddy. Or one of the many many squirrels, chipmunks or birds!! Downside is there is no bathroom in the off months and the porta potty is worse than downtown Portland.
So beautiful for a quick stroll.
Always breathtakingWe are so blessed by angels everyday️
Love this oasis in the middle of Hillsboro. The trees are magnificent and the paths are easy and perfect for wheelchairs or walkers. The bridges are beautiful and a wonderful place to take photos!A must see in Hillsboro
Great place to walk. Everyone seems to keep a good social distance as well.
Nice park, lots of pathways great for walking the dog. No garbage cans along the way. Two parking lots at different points in the park. Gorgious walk in the woods, gives you the feel of being in the woods while your in the city. Has a stream with some Bridges. The pathways are impassible most Winters after heavy rain.
I wish this park was bigger. Very pretty!
This place is beautiful. Nice walking trails, tree lined everything, creek access, wildlife, the works!
This place is awesome. I have never seen so many shades of green. Of course Im from the desert so I may have just been overwhelmed. I love all the paths twisting through the park. When you get into the thick of it, its unbelievable. Great place to take a break from all the daily stuff. Absolutely beautiful
Love this park close to home. Decent paths to take with stroller. Not too big but not too small either.
Very clean, but also little parking and very busy.
Nice place for a walk with the family. Plenty of hills for a good workout. We did two loops from the Baseline entrance. Would definitely go back. Trees are beautiful this time of year, but be aware the bathrooms are closed in Winter, so there is only a port a potty.
Its very pretty but if you are looking for a long or difficult walk I suggest another park. Lots of dog poop around.
Definitely going back with the puppies!
Small but beautiful park. Nice walking trails both gravel and paved. Good for the stroller.
Small but nice little park.
This is a small, but beautiful place to walk. There are a few paths that cross a creek and over marshy areas. There are covered areas with picnic tables on one end of the park, and restrooms on both ends. Its great for kids to walk around since it isnt very long. No bicycles are allowed on the trails.
One of my favorite parks to walk in. Old growth trees and fascinating.
Great trails, some paved, some wood chips and some dirt trails. A fair amount of area to walk with children.
Was peaceful today. Glad theyre covering the muddy parts so we wouldnt slip on them.
Beautiful wide trails. View of Rock Creek. Heavily wooded with Fir & Hemlock. Two entrances. Recommend southern access if walker/wheelchair is required. The other loop is paved, but has several steep areas that will require a motorized chair or *strong* assistant to navigate. Even then, take care. Several bridges cross deep and lazy sections of Rock Creek, but dont offer water access. The only trail with water access is NOT accessible for mobility assist devices.Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible, with one handicapped parking space in each parking lot. Both paved and dirt trails are fine for walkers/wheelchairs, at least in dry weather.
Cute neighborhood park. Cute bridges provide some great photo opportunity.
This park is my favorite place to jog walk my dog and play with my kid.
Nice quiet walk and we spotted an owl
This place is fine friendly and even when its rainy, you can still use the paths. Its a little Oasis in suburbia. The only drawback is that theres a lot of trash collecting in the creek.
Great place to eat a take-out lunch
Really nice for the family and really dog friendly.
My favorite park in the area. A nice little creek and lots of trees. Its a way to pretend you are in the woods without leaving Beaverton
Great clean park. Nice trail
Nice wooded area, great trails, a creek, and a little viewing area. There are bathrooms, picnic tables, and some benches. The water fountains were inoperable though, and I wish there were more benches along the trail, as I was hoping to find a nice place to sit and read.
Just visited this park today and I enjoyed it a lot! For a little park nestled in the suburbs, the winding trails through abundant tree groves almost felt like the Gorge :) There are multiple paths to follow and ample bathrooms/ parking at the entrances, which I appreciated. Quite a few trees had taken damage from the recent ice and snow storms, but they had been cut back and neatly stacked by the wayside so all the trails were easy to access. My dog had a great time sniffing this well-maintained park and thats what matters most! I just hope when I come back in the summer there will be more leaves.
Always like walking here, shade is great!
Nice wooded park in town. Several good trails through the trees. Restrooms and shelter available. Some trails paved.
Really nice park. The only negatives are that there isnt a lot of parking and there are the occasional car/rv campers hanging out there all day.
Flooded out areas caused dead end pathways. Doesnt feel as safe as it used to feel. Kinda creepy.
Love this park, nice trails and pretty scenery
Accessible bathrooms and clean environment
Pleasant woodsy trails, lots of leashed dogs and joggers.
A little serenity and small hike!
Good place to hike everyday
Great escape to the outdoors in the middle of the city. 4 stars because Bathroom and water fountain are closed in the winter.
Well kept walking trail with parking.
Named after Hillsboro great Charlie Noble who owned Noble Craft and made cabinets employing many people in our fine City! His donation of this wonderful section of forest and the important creek and wetlands area is something that will last forever . Parking lots and bathrooms on both sides . An Important park and trail who which will be part of the Rock Creek trail for centuries to come! Thanks Charlie from Dirk and the crew at Platform Realty Group ! RIP.
Nice park to walk with your dog. The park has several loop trails with bridges over a creek in one loop. Nice tall trees, so its cooler in the summer than other places.
Great park for your pups!
Easy trail right in the city
Great place to stop off and see
Beautiful walk with bridges over the creek, side trails, and thick foliage everywhere (of course).Best part: free!
Rustic trails and paths. Giant trees that provide a canopy when theres rain! Beautiful....
Excellent wood. So much plants, more than most parks that have as much close to civilization.
Always an enjoyable , quiet visit, even when it is busy. We have, on occasion, seen owls- very cool ! Park is very well maintained and people by and large are respectful of the trails and do not discard garbage and clean up after their dogs.
Lovely park to walk around, nice that you can take three different routes around the park
Rustic but smooth paths too
This park is perfect, beautiful and never too busy. Love it.
The river in the pictures has leaches, but the test of the park is pretty and fun.
