Good place to take a walk. Good scenery as well.

Beautiful water area. Bring water shoes, rocks hurt! Great for kids. Small older park area for kids. It was fun but there was glass over the playground area scattered about. There was also a really cool trail behind the kids park area

Enjoyed the view of the water as we had a wonderful picnic lunch. The tables are in desperate need of repair/replacement.

Pretty decent place. Had a playground for kids, walking trail, Buck Creek runs along the path and is fishable and what got me were the decorative street lamps throughout the park. It was a nice little touch.

Gotta love these parks

Had to visit to test my new “WaterLily” Water/Wind Charging Turbine. All went quite well and test went successful. The water was quite low, considering the recent drought. The parks dept needs to step it up a little. I saw a guy rearranging the several garbage cans around the concessions building. If you don’t supply the public with receptacles for garbage, then it’ll begin looking like Birmingham. It would be nice to see some picnic tables near the dam side. This way families can enjoy a meal.

Great place for family time

I lived in Helena for 6 years before my husband filed for divorce and I had to sell my house and give him a tiny portion thanks to my lawyer lol. Unfortunately I wont be able to afford to move back on disability. I loved the waterfall every time I drove over the bridge but not once did I ever park and go down there. I heard that one point while I was living there was a big deal that the water wasnt clean and I would not let my child or dog go near the water. It was nice to sit and eat dinner at the restaurant and be able to look at the water and hear the water but not touch it. It made beautiful pictures because I think everybody that lived in Helena had professional pictures taken there except for us. I really wish that I could get back into Helena but the house prices are right now a little bit more than I could afford but, Im in an apartment for a year and land prices change. Being disabled I dont have to pay land taxes which will be a huge deal because thatll save you up to $1,000 a year. Doesnt have to go into your escrow. My biggest issue is wanting to keep my son in the school system but looks like hes going to be going to Thompson. Still good but doesnt hold a candle to Helena. Thats why we moved there from Pleasant Grove in the first place. simply for the schools and we absolutely fell in love with Laurel woods. The old one not the new one. Giant house are such a good price. Cant get it for that price now.

We thought we could swim but its not really for kids under 8 as far as swimming. It is pretty though and I saw someone putting a canoe in.

Our favourite to come to. Eating at the depot or beef o Brady and looking over the water fall is definitely a mist have experience for the locals

Very well maintained park with a touch of the past. Nicely located un the center of town. Beautiful Cahaba river right beside it. Theres a farmers market in the park on Saturday mornings during the summer months.

I love being near water!

This is a beautiful little town and the park could be very interesting. I would make two suggestions.First, work on the stepping stones across the creek. I did not care if I got wet, but the concrete was not too stable and needed just a little work.Second, you need some guidelines for photography. I know that some people like to show off when they are pregnant, but what we saw on Saturday was obscene. Not everyone want to see an almost naked pregnant lady parading around having her picture made. There were kids, teens, and adults that saw more than they needed. Why subject every one to this instead of staying in the photo studio. Keep your clothes on and dont disrespect others around you.

Great place for the kids and the dogs. And love seeing the frogs and fish.

Very peaceful and relaxing. The red caboose marks a nice cozy restaurant to get good food and sit outside listening to the waterfall until trains go by. Always try to visit when the market is going in the mornings on a Saturday.

Nice little place park equipment is a little old. I know it gets flooded when the creek floods but that stuff was put there when I was real young. Grass not really maintained. Again I know the flooding but still they could try
