Beautiful and serene park. Plenty of parking and picnic tables. Good for a sunny day family outing or friends picnic gathering. It’s also fun to watch people boating or rowing. The walk towards the Hartford downtown is nice too. Highly recommend.

Really nice place to visit when one wants to take a second and enjoy the river in Hartford. Im only here on travel but I stop here when I can to see the views of has to offer.

Clean, nice views of the city. Good for hiking trails, has playscape for kids and benches throughout. Plenty of free parking.

The man who opens the gate in the morning is so unreliable. I’ve been coming here every morning for years to row . And before they hired this new man in the last couple years he is never on time . Some of us only have a limited time to row and now I will not be able to yet again . I am very upset . I hope this goes to the correct person that maybe can do something about this .

A large public park with plenty of parking. Close to the parking lot is a children playground area and a bunch of BBQ pits. Great place to hang out on a lazy weekend when the weather is not so cold. The park actually connected to the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza (near the Science Center) through a nicely kept walkway along the western bank of the Connecticut River. The sculpture garden between the two bridges (Bulkeley and Founders) has a few small metal sculptures.

This park and public space is a hidden gem with a winding walking path along the river and beautiful views of downtown Hartford. The community rowing program operated out of the boathouse is awesome. Riverfront is also home to Hartfords annual Fourth of July celebration. And dont miss the Dragonboat races and Asian Festival in August

Awesome place for walk and grill. Also, you can get rental kayaking during summer time.

I liked this park the first time I came here. The park offers beautiful views of the Conneticut River and excellent trails. My family came here three times a week to picnic and go for a walk.

Went to the BBQ festival. Had a great time. Little Marks BBQ was outstanding and had a fun time at the Bar Rated trivia booth

It sets right in the edge of downtown Hartford next to the Hussle and bussle of the freeways but you would never even know it. So peaceful

Row here with Riverfront Recapture. Park is beautiful and the rowing program has been spectacular to be a part of.

Very nice park overlooking the Connecticut river. There are lots of things to do here for the entire family. Theres a nice river trail for walking connecting downtown Hartford, play area, basketball court wall/rock climb, and a Gazebo if you want to host a party or just getting together with the family. Also, theres a boat house and Ive seen people boating. There a sport area for soccer, etc.

Great park but needs to erradicate some invasive plant species on the trails.

Beautiful trail system. Lots of scenery to take in...great bird watching area. Right on the river. Bad points, questionable activities do occur in the more remote parts. You WILL see drug addicts and alcoholics during your easy stroll through the scenic CT River banks.

Very nice park, only downside is its close to the highway but thats hard to avoid

Decent place to get some exercise, by the river. Got a decent path and quite a good set of stairs at the end. They have security in season, keeps most of the criminals away. You can also fish the river here. Stripe bass run in season up the river. Great cat fishing as well.

Incredible find. Serene environment. Extremely nice walking path hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of the big city and interstate. Very peaceful walk along the Connecticut River. Historic displays along the path. Incredibly large trees. Lots of foliage. Beautiful scenery. Lovely day.

Good river front park in Hartford. Nice landscaping and well maintained grounds. Wouldnt venture alone here at night but during the day its very safe. Crew boathouse located here. Community grills and picnic areas. Ropes course here but I think it has to be booked in advance, no staff there on a normal day.

This is a favorite spot for me and my boys Ive gone to this park since my oldest was 3 hes 18 now I just wish there were better spots for fishing

Nice park for being in Hartford, late July and August the water can smell stagnant. Any events Ive gone to here were definitely a good time, and good spot for them.

Love the new updates to the park long walking paths with art on display form the north end trough downtown and into the south end of town also features nice playgrounds for the children to play good parking if it’s not flooded

The Connecticut River is a beautiful scenic place to take a boat ride. The boat dock at Riverside Park is perfect for launching.

Nice Sandy Beach, great for swimming. On the bike trail 10 minutes north of Burlington.

Many events in the summer and a great place to run along the river for 3ish miles.

Love this place, this is a hidden gem along a busy I95, large spacious park to host a variety of events from birthday parties to Family Reunions, please be on your best behavior because the park rangers dont mess around, your bad behavios will be addressed accordingly.

Beautiful park!

Nice quiet park located next to the water. It has a playground for the kids. Great place for jogging, walking, or running. The park has a few staff members that ride around making sure all is well. Nice spot to eat your lunch or to read a book. They have several picnic tables which are covered by trees creating a nice shady spot to relax. They open at dawn and close at dusk.

A good place to spend the day with family and friends

Ill always be for more parks in urban areas. Riverside is well staffed and clean. Ive only been there during the day but I bet it gets sketchy at night.

This is a beautiful park. I like coming here on my lunch break.

Attended a Family BBQ and birthday party. Nephew drove his boat on water. Spot was shady under trees and nice wind blew. Grills and benches available, playscape for kids and plenty of parking. Nice grass and clean.

Great place to launch your boat into the CT River and there is a playground for the young ones. There is a boat house which I do believe you can rent for events. There are trails but I thought they were a tad weak. There is a ropes course but not sure when the hours are or how to get on them.

I live this place because you can enjoy yourself by yourself. It has a lot to offer volleyball, fishing for those that love it. Grills for family outings just to name a few things to do in this place

Great Place with many locations for parties both large and small. The place is well kept with a number of walking trails from challenging to beginners. It has areas for children, volley ball, and much open space. If you have a fishing pole you could try that as well. A Really Nice Find!!!

Riverside Park makes for a nice getaway from city stress. Ample parking, upkept playscape, maintained grounds, trees, shade, grass, benches, walkways and helpful Rangers. Everything to make you want to relax.. or natural atmosphere to get those creative thoughts flowing.
