So we came for the first time not realizing they have a zillion classes in the morning and open swim doesn’t start till 1. After asking 100 questions she finally said he can do the toddler swim that starts at 10:30. I said oh that’s perfect we will wait in the locker room till 10:30. She then went on to tell me I can’t wait inside I have to wait outside until 10:30. Can anyone explain why I couldn’t wait inside for 15 minutes until 10:30 rolled around?

The Veterans Memorial Park is a great place to bring the kids. Very clean, safe, and modern! The high dive is my favorite part! The lazy river feels like a hot tub (even though It’s small). The whole park is quite small but it’s perfect for the small town it’s in.

Our kids loved this waterpark. It felt like we were in the dells. Its very clean, slides are fun. Lots of grassy areas to get some sun.

Went down the green slide 5x in a row. Lots of fun.

This is such a wonderful place for families to spend their summer days!! Hartford and surrounding communities are so lucky to have such a great recreational aquatic center . The staff is so well trained and friendly. The water walking in the morning with my daughter is my favorite way to start the day. The lifeguards are so upbeat and fun to visit with. They even put on oldies music for the water walkers to enjoy.I have taken my grand kids for open swimming and we all enjoyed ourselves. Great management and great facility.

Not enough for younger kids to do. I wish there were smaller slides, but its a great, clean place to cool off!

A nice family pool!

The pool was clean and well kept. The diving board is a nice touch, as well as the lazy river and slides. The slides actually go pretty fast and are fun. They have showers inside the bathroom.

No carry in policy, I get it. Was asked to leave the premises so the kids could eat a snack. Other than that this place was ok. Water was nice.

I love their 4th of July. The wrestling is quite entertaining and the fireworks are always enjoyable.

They dont let you bring your own food. They want you to buy their over priced hot dogs that give you a stomach ache. Babies arent allowed in the lazy river, not even with a life jacket on.

Clean, 30 min of adult only swim in afternoon, and wasnt overcrowded.

Facility is nice, lots of water activities but my goodness the rules are crazy!!!! Walk straight, jump in only 1 foot, dont smile, take 2 seconds to climb the ladder, get in the lazy river the way I want... there is one particular lady (assume she is in charge) that takes her control a bit far. She walks around waiting to yell. These are children, ever heard of asking or explaining? I would never recommend this place.I understand rules, especially for safety but this is about control and having power to tell someone what not to do, not about safety.Check out other community pools first!

Best little splash pad in town. Your taxes paid for it, might as well enjoy it.

My family loves this pool!! Super clean, attentive life guards, and such a fun time!

A great place to meet your friends at,go with the family or by yourself.The 2 waterslides are both a great ride and the lazy river is amazing as well.The food is well made and there are many options,from a light snake to a full meal.The diving boards are also a real treat,along with the sand area for small children and there parents.Bathrooms are also of better quality then most places and there is a lot of seating sourounding the intire pool.Recomended for ALL ages.

Really nice park and set up. Wish some of the “rules” would help protect the littles in the park and not just be bluntly interpreted.

I like parks so I went to veterans memorial park but I dont remember going there I must have really been jacked up!!!

Awesome pool, great park, and a pretty sick state park. The new pool has an sand box, some games like ping pong, diving board, high dive, raft slide, body slide, lazy river, beach chairs, shade bench, fountain, water sprayer, baby slide, and huge pool. it is awesome.

So fun for kid recommend it to the familys it $3-4

Great to bring the kids and burn off energy. Clean, food and drink stand, sandbox, lazy River, two water slides, diving board, Cornhole, ping pong, splash area for little ones... Its a great place.

Great that they use this space for lap swim when its too early for family time.

Wow, what a change two different water slides, lazy river for rafting, food pavilion, games for any age out of water also. And a big pool for children. Theres so much l cant tell all, but a full day of activities.

I work on the equipment for the swimming pool. This pool and its equipment is top-notch, beautiful, and immaculate.

Veterans memorial is a surprisingly well maintained and staged statics facility for a town the size of Hartford!
