Been coming here for years. Very big park. Lots of baseball and softball fields to play in and big enough to let your dog have some fun.

Peaceful they doing a lot of remodel Ill go there at least twice a week

Field needs maintenance. The area needs cleaning. It needs a easier entrance. The excess cut grass needs to be picked up. In other words, tender loving care!

Was up on the south west hill taking in the summer breeze watching the construction of one of the fields near the outdoors stage. Also people enjoying the new Basketball courts.

I loved it , it was fun , very nice respectful distance and above all injoy some music and sounded with old friends , we all need that just respect the rules , Amen

Grew up here ....they killed my child hood park..no maintenance

It was a beautiful day to stroll through the park even at then of the day when all sporting events were winding up. The breeze was subtle, music was still playing in the background, kids still running back and forth on the courts- in the grass & some just snuggled in moms arms as they watched the softball games. Nice progress on fixing the park in general.

The park is cleaner safer environment for children at play. Giving Colt park a makeover was the ideal thing to do. Lets keep Hartford Parks clean for inner-city children to have clean play grounds.

I Love This Park! I Grew Up Right Across The Street, Next Door To C-Town! Weve Watched The Fireworks While Bats Flew Over Our Heads And Played In The V.I.B.E. League And Also Went To Kinsella (when it looked like a prison)OVERALL, COLT PARK IS GREAT!!!The playground is outstanding!!!Brand new basketball courts!!!High on staff and very friendly!!!I TOOK MY SON LAST SATURDAY THERE TO GO SWIMMING FOR HIS FIRST TIME!!!

Great historic park now listed as part of the Department of the Interior National park status as part of the Colt Museum. Located just South of Central Hartford

Not a bad place to hang out and enjoy summer activities. There are softball fields and a few soccer fields and you can run the track. All-in-all not a bad Park to visit. Ive noticed that there is a mixed crowd of people which is a beautiful thing.

Convenient clean and safe with police providing drive by making sure things r safe.

Depends what you are in the mood for. Great place to play pickup basketball. Or baseball/softball.Parking lot cookouts seem to be popular during summerOther than that....the track is in bad shape, lots of litter, homeless people, and drug users, and glass.

Ive been a regular at Colt Park since 2008. I stopped going for a few years when there were two muggings in the middle of the day. I also was sick of the quad/ATV riders ripping through the place.While that has improved, the place is still trashy. There is literally trash all over the place.While the park does host many games, at most time it is empty. Part of the green new deal is to ensure everyone has access to outdoor space, but no one even uses what they currently have.

The park is kind of old and has lots of dirt patches. I went there with my soccer team and the field was all run down and didnt have very good white lines on it. When we played our game we had to put our own nets up because they dont want people stealing nets. So we had to delay our game by a few minutes because we had to set up the net with zip ties. Which tool a very long time. And there are bad people who hang around there. I suggest you dont bring your kids there.

I like it because of the handball court the new pavement that goes around three-quarters of the park all the sports activities that go on there its one of the greatest parks in Hartford

I took my kids there swimming for the first time I called city hall so I could know what the times and all that were. I wasnt told that there is an adult swim and the kids only get 3 hours #1. I also wasnt told that if my child is under 50 inches she cannot go into Goodwin pool. When I arrived at the pool in Colt park I was met with a very rude guy who when I asked a simple question gave me the most rude answers. He told me that there was 15 mins left for children to swim and I was very upset that definitely is not enough time for children. He followed that with its not my fault you didnt come at 1 like everyone else. Excuse me you dont know me or what I do for a living you have no right to say that to me. I want something done that was just despicable.

Love this park been going here since a child

I enjoyed the pool. It was very clean and the lifeguards were on point and vigilant, while being respectful as they enforced safety. The splash park was also clean.The only thing that was unnerving was how the womens locker room is set up. While changing a male guard walked into the staff area which is attached and I could see him and he me. A teen boy also walked in. I had to yell to tell him to go around. There should be a better system to ensure the safety and integrity of women and young girls as they are changing.Overall a great experience. I did let the woman attendant know about the incident and they closed and locked the womens door so no one could get in.

My favorite park in Downtown area.. Basketball every weekend here. Great track. Handball . jungle gym, swings. Softball and baseball . Awesome!

Nice and clean park. Good for kids and adults. Lots of fields and places to play outdoor games. The path in the park needs a little bit of maintainance, and it would be nice if it goes all around the park.

The pool is the greatest place to be when its hot in the beat of CT.

The park is really nice and I feel comfortable hanging out. The handball courts are competitive and full of seasoned veterans. Being from Bristol Ive always felt welcomed by the locals. Id certainty be very careful at nite being there its down rite dangerous. Ive met some really great people there.

Beautiful, bring trash bags as most trash cans are at the exits. Keep it clean. Oh and bring toilet paper if youll need it as the facilities are usually out.

Its a great place to go for families a very large Park they have plenty of porta-potties so you can use the restroom they have quite a few playgrounds for the kids its a very large open area great for large groups of friends they have a baseball diamond I guess its open to the public I believe they have a basketball court plenty of parking space on both sides of the park and a very Scenic views its usually quiet until the kids get out of school for summer then its loud music and other types of noise pollution but its still beautiful part and a great place to go with your family the majority of the time.

Playground isnt what it used too. Parents allow kids to run around with branches while toddlers cant enjoy themselves. 8 & up need their own playscape

Amazing playground, one of our favorites. Parks and rec need to clean more often. The garbage can is always overflowing. The safest parents are on the mat. The lazy ones sit on the hill.

Love Colt Park On Sundays

We visited the general fields and playground. Much of it was in disarray and oddly wet because there was no recent rain fall. There are a few porta-poddy, (poddi(?)) scattered about but we havent used one yet. Weve been there on several occasions since its close but its in great need of some love and care.

You name it. Baseball, volleyball, soccer, football, softball, swimming pool, food and big open spaces for hiking and biking. Outside, in the streets next Theres some food trucks with tasty Latin food. Sometimes even live salsa music free.
