Nice park. When i was a child. At the time lived in Hartford. Many moons ago. Went to the fireworks.

I walk here very peaceful even when peoples around barely crowded I come from two cities over to enjoy the park

It was orderly the wait was not long everything went smooth the place nice and clean wrkrs very pleasant

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to bring their children here. Although the pool area is ok, the rest needs some serious TLC! First off the play area is always full of poop, from the geese and the homeless and addict sleep there so you can imagine what types of things are left laying around on ground that could potentially harm kids and/ or adults. I understand that everyone needs some where to but it needs a major clean up.

Its always kept up and clean. A rec center playground soccer and baseball fields.

Clear path, level 2 walk because of small hills, some roots and rocks. But a very relaxing place to enjoy a nature walk. People were swimming and Id imagine some of the spots are good for fishing too.

I love the atmosphere just kids and parents running through the sprinklers. This is my second visit in less then a week. Met up with the same people. The kids were dumping cups of water on me while I spoke with their parents. I will go back asap!

This park was fun when Rebecca Lobo was playing for UConn and the recreational center was well up kept.. But now.. Sweet Jesus I can’t walk 10 feet in any direction without finding a used needle on the ground.. pretty sad.. avoid this area at all costs

There is a guy there, I think he said Bob, that works the pool . He took some time to help my daughter with her swimming. She was trying and he recognized that. Nice to see Hartford actually has employees that care that much and have a passion for what they do. Not just someone collecting a paycheck.

Pope park is a beautiful place, we all know what problem is plaguing it. The pond could use a little TLC, as well as the pond house

Beautiful highway to stop and take a view of New York city and the Hudson river.

Kids love to play here, nice place for family gatherings and picnics. We enjoy here a lot. Highly recommended.

I lived right across the street from it...love the pool...

Always a nice place to go when its nice out. Especially spring and fall. But winter is great for the kids my son likes to go to pope park to see the ducks he usually brings bread. As well as the playground area thats nice also... Theres also a swimming pool but he hasnt been there for swimming yet.. But now that he reaches the specific height hell be able to go in the pool area this year!!!!

I love this park!! Its huge!! In the summertime theres a pool of the super hot days!! Theres a playground for the kids and benches for the parents to sit and watch. There are Porto pottys which is convenient!! There are trees for shade in hot days, and there are a couple ponds too!!

Very quiet and unattended swimming facility in the midst an of urban environment. Warm refreshing water, friendly lifeguards , and a great pool! What a sad thing if they close this place down. Call the city Mayor now to keep it alive!!

At the park is so into nature with the Geese and ducks in the old pond.

It was fun swimming and relaxing with the family!

My kids love to play there they even have a pool and plenty of events all year long

Brought my son to that pool and life guards are very irresponsible plus the kids cant enjoy the pool every 15 or 20 mins out of the water and back in 15 mins horible place

Although we were there for a crisis matter, their is a special magic still existing in the park that brought goodness at a time that was traumatic.

Beautiful park

Great for a walk or run. Anything you can do outside, this is a great option for large group get togethers. The parking lot is kind of shady. Guys chilling in their cars smoking weed and guys just hanging out with their dirt bikes. Other than that, its nice.

Off the chain on sundays til summer ends

The most DANGEROUS play ground i have ever seen. Just took my 3 yr old there and there is missing slides with sharp metal posts sticking up out of the ground, broken plexiglass sticking out of the playground... I cant even remember it all because there was so much wrong. ..omg someone needs to shut this down

The little gym is ok and they have different activities for people of all ages. From basketball, to table tennis and dance classes etc. Its well kept and clean.

Love Pope Park. My grandsons love the play ground and there are plenty of benches or bring a blanket. The grounds are kept nicely.
