Cancer Survivors Park is located on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, South Carolina. It is in the section of the trail between Falls Park and Cleveland Park. A wonderful memorial to cancer survivors, it brings attention to the disease and highlights some local success stories. The overlook and park area are landscaped beautifully. There are great views of the river below. Dont miss thos section of the trail on you next visit.
Here’s a gorgeous and relatively new park for Greenville! The Reedy River flows through the center of this park and under a pedestrian bridge. There’s little pathways down to the river and a mini outdoor Amphitheater. Also an small indoor event space and outdoor event space under the canopy.
An absolutely beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle without leaving downtown Greenville.
Beautiful park! Lots of places to walk, just be mindful of the people on bikes. Not all yield to pedestrians as they should.
What a great trail to walk! Great for biking and running ! With the reedy river following you along the way ️
Visited the area for the first time for a geocache hunt. Very clean park with alot of beautiful plants and places to just relax. Only thing was that there was not restrooms near by. had to walk about a mile to get to a public restroom which was pretty tricky finding it.
What a wonderful place for cancer patients to be honored past, present, and future.
What a beautiful spot with a creek and swings and some touching stories. Truly a great place to stop and reflect or pay respects to a loved one you may have lost be it family or friend.
Beautifully done. Loved the meditation circle maze tucked away in one of the shady green places.
Part of the historic Swamp Rabbit Train trail
So I came here with an understanding that it is peaceful and tranquil. I stopped by the park after a hectic day at work and I have to say that it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I arrived and I could tell already this would be a place to get my thoughts together. It’s so peaceful here and it was not too crowded. Greenville you did it again.
Its a pretty ride on my bike and a great spirit to those fighting, or who have fought the fight. Live In the Light.
Great place to park on the Swamp Rabbit Trail near Cleveland Park less than a mile in one direction to the zoo or Liberty Bridge in the other direction...
Nice public structure and area to catch your breath on a run.
Is my first time going and I already want to go back again./ is a place to think appreciated and value each breath God give us...been able to walk ride the bike or just sit and enjoy the view....amazing I had a good time walking with my daughter/ chasing her and creating memories...
Lovely. Very beautiful place
Nice place to take my dog and enjoy.
Great... Free parking and the trail takes you right to the reedy river downtown
Beautiful/easy walk from Reedy falls park to Cleveland park and on to the Greenville zoo..
My family loves CSP. We used to park at the Zoo and walk the trail through the area while it was under construction. Its neat to see such a long and ambitious project finally complete! Now that they have their own parking lot, I recommend parking there, walking over to eat some pizza at Sidewall and then walk back over to the park for a nice walk on the boardwalk.
Beautiful and tranquil. Brought my dog and walked on the elevated paths. Very cool!
Easy access to Reedy River, Cleveland Park, Falls Park & the Swamp Rabbit Trail. This stretch of the river is scenic, well lit & has lots of seating to enjoy the surroundings & the Pavilion deck overlooking the pedestrian/biking bridge which crosses the small rvier rapids here. The only negative is Thursday-Saturday customers for the pizza restaurant at Cleveland St & University Ridge will crowd the parking lot at Cancer Survivors Park
Its a beautiful place to take a walk and relax
Nice place with shaded seating surrounded by flowering vegetation. I dont think its finished yet since the sidewalk abruptly stops in an odd spot. Might be under construction again one day.
Great park in the middle of town
Great place to walk and enjoy some scenery.
A beautiful Sunday walk when we go to South Carolina for vacation. It’s near Greenville. A beautiful theme and very nice park.
Beautiful park area to walk your dog
We really enjoy Falls Park On The Reedy, this time we started from this end. Very pretty dedication to cancer survivors. The whole park is great, we really enjoy it.
A Welcome Addition to The area...especially for peace, inspiration, & hope.
Beautiful park! Loved our first (of many) visits!
In a word... STUNNING!
Beautiful park! Great for a walk!
One of the most beautiful parks I have been to
I loved this park it was so relaxing
Very beautiful place to go for a nice walk and enjoy the scenery
Beautiful except for the construction
Wonderful outdoor space. Inspirational!
Amazing place to reflect on life, walk, and enjoy nature
Such a pretty little park along the Reedy River.
A beautiful place to visit with my momma Betty who has survived Cancer and my family.
One of my favorite places to walk in Greenville.
A beautiful, peaceful place. A great tribute for a most worthy cause.
Beautiful park lots of walking to do.
What an amazing place will definitely be back again
Love it. Beautiful place to take a walk and relax
Nice setting. Paths curve to give aesthetic to the paths. Lots of trees to shade many trails Ramps are steep at times, so someone with weakness will need assist maneuvering through the park. Nice running water, but remember this is runoff water, so dont let kids play in the water
Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! So glad we moved to Greenville. They so fabulous job with parks surrounding waterfalls. Thank you for all your hard work to enjoy such beauty!!!!?
I honestly dont know why there is a visitor center at this park. But it is very nice. The beauty is a bit dampened by a lot of condo construction on the opposite River bank.
Awesome. Go here.
Beautiful peaceful place to sit and read.
Beautiful with the new cancer survivors park!
This park is a breath of fresh air! So honored to be a survivor.
Really cool place for a quick walk!
Needs a bit of upkeep, but nice place.
Beautiful place to walk around.
Beautiful place to go and just relax
We only visited the outdoors part and it is beautiful.I love the sounds of rushing water and sitting in nature and this is a perfect spot for both!(I would suggest being very careful near the water as the water is quick, the rocks are slick, and I saw a man fishing there so there may be old lines and hooks in the water.)This is my first time visiting Greenville and I loved it! What a wonderful place to visit with my family.
I ride the swamp rabbit trail all the time and park at this parking lot. Couldnt ask for more as far as a clean place to park and set out. They did alot of nice work along the river as well near the trail.
One of the best chill parks in Greenville. Never too crowded and the rythmic sounds from the rocky river are hypnotic. Alyways clean and well manicured. There is usually a homeless crowd hanging around close by though.
I love this trail and how it connects the zoo to falls park!!
Great for a stroll. Lots of construction in this area so be aware of your surroundings.
A beautiful place to go chill read and walk enjoy scenery family time
This was a cool area, read all the quotes around the big structure for some uplifting thoughts.
It is beautifully and artistically designed and built. A very restful place to contemplate and relax. Many benches for seating, wide sidewalks, swings, gorgeous plants and flowers - we loved it. A wonderful addition to Falls Park.
Beautiful location great to run by
Peaceful and serene.
Lovely quiet spot
Wonderful place to go for an evening walk. Very romantic atmosphere. Even more fun to bring bikes. Great dining options just a few short blocks away. Great place to take a date or visit with a loved one.
Beautiful sight seeing
A Really nice place to go for a walk
Nice small park near downtown Greenville. Swamp Rabbit Trail runs thru the Park. Can get busy on a sunny day.
Beautiful, picturesque park nestled close to downtown and Falls park. Great views of the creek and swings in the shade. I run through this area often and it is well maintained. Easy access to the park from the parking lot.
This is a great little park!!
On the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT), this Park is between Falls Park and Cleveland Park. It has a boardwalk that descends from University Ridge to meet the SRT where it crosses under Church Street. Theres a new bridge across the Reedy River here and a small building that overlooks the bridge and river. No public bathrooms. Drinking water fountain. Accessible parking.
Hadnt been here in over a year. Love all the work they put in!.
Very well maintained, clean and very relaxing. I could have stay there all day. The swings were an added bonus and the plants were gorgeous!
Clean, tons of walking trails, plenty of parking, and nice landscaping.
A sweet gentle place to relax for a few or take a walk.
Beautiful park with secluded feel right in middle of the city. Inspirational.
Long trails and a beautiful area!
Lots of room to run and play with the kiddos on a sunny day.
Very nice.
Great quiet off the beaten path. Some parking + handicapped spaces. Benches and astroturf (instead of grass in a small area). Never seen it open, but supposedly has a restroom.
My wife being a Cancer survivor was great to go visit park we watch over the years to be built. Great to see plack I purchased. We love our favorite swing.
Serenity at its best!
Beautiful place, good for exercising and just enjoying the view.
Beautiful, artsy, and good for the soul. A fabulous tribute.
Love park. I have fun walking the board walk
Really well designed area. Tons of seating and a nice new boardwalk and walking bridge for the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Fun for picnics ...walking dates ... Nice but of nature in the city
I like the fact that the survivors are celebrated here. It is a beautiful place for sure. I visit with my nieces and it was a blast.
Took the family at night had a great time! Said my Prayers for everyone with Cancer and the Loved ones taken too soon By Cancer
