Inexpensive, snacks and enough fun to keep you AND the kids entertained for the whole afternoon!! Plus they have towels, goggles and sunscreen in case you forget yours. Admission worked out to $3 an hour per person, cant beat that! Staff is super friendly!!!

If you havent been to Southside Park here is a quick rundown of what is there. There is the Discovery Water Park which has its own google reviews. There is a medium size park that is well kept but sadly lacking for shade on hot days. There are a couple open fields that are often used by kids sports team for practice.

For a pandemic, it was overly crowded. Also the grass was freshly cut, which is nice. But left over grass was still in ground instead of blown away!

Nice ball park , very clean and lots of space for playing baseball and soccer. Mostly empty mon thru fri but some crowds sat and sundays after midday.

The park was lovely! It has a nice walking track and large playground - perfect for visiting to play or work out in peace!Plenty of parking too!!

Had a blast at the water park! Something for everyone to do, older and younger kids. Pricing is fair for admission but food and drink are ridiculously expensive. Lockers available to store your stuff. Kids really had a great time.

My 2 year old got stung by a red hornet wasp while we were there last and come to find out there was a nest right under the slide.

Review is for tennis courts only. Courts are in a good location at the park - away from major traffic and distractions. Seem to have good lighting (i have not been there at night), the court surfaces are horrible. Large cracks in the courts with grass growing in many places. Need a complete overhaul.

Family friendly park and activities!

My daughter absolutely loves this park. Plenty of room to run around and play. Only negative thing is that the equipment is showing its age.

The park has some fun equipment. It could stand to be cleaned, however. I dont think the rec dept makes many trips there as there is often trash scattered around the outside of the play area, in the sand and by the picnic table. There is also no shade by the structures so on hot days, this isnt the best park to visit.

I love Southside Park. Its so close to my home I can take an old trail through the woods to get there. However, since the addition of the water park we can hear the kids screaming through the woods. Thats the only downside. It has a great play area for kids. Soccer, baseball fields and tennis courts. A nice, safe place for everyone of all ages.

There are lots of things to do there. Basketball, soccer, and a big opened field that would be great for ultimate frisbee, or any sort of activity.

Love all the playgrounds , so calm to be able to have all the space for the kids to play in , from toddlers up to big boys

Nice park for soccer. Pitches are a little bit uneaven but nothing too bad. Im not sure the water park has the right description! Probably not worth a visit for that alone!

Pretty neat place to take your kids and its not that expensive about $12 a person would be really good for a kid who is anywhere between 3 to maybe about 10 would be ideal but kids a little older can have a lot of fun as well

I like this park because it has a lot of paved areas for walking that are shady. There are tennis courts, nice play grounds, and a couple big open fields. If you play Pokemon Go, there are two Pokestops and a gym.

It was clean and the kids had a blast! I wish they would expand a little bit though.

Small but fun waterpark. Cost to get inside the waterpark for an adult is less than 10 dollars. The park has two large slides, one is a body slide and the other a inner tube slide. There is a flow ride where you can body surf. Park has a large child friendly area with a smaller slide and lots of things that squirt and dump water and has a zero depth entrance. Park has a small lazy river which was actually my favorite thing. Concession stand that offers pizza, drinks, ice cream, and candy. Great little park for kids and adults.

Really nice! Prices not bad for admission! Fun for kids of all ages and adults. Just wish the pool area was bigger and deeper. Not much food to choose from and what is available is costly.

Great Park for young kids. Theres one playground for younger kids, another one for kids ages 4 and up. Also include the soccer fields and is next to a water park that is open seasonally.

Great place to bring the kids for a day outside in the water park. They have concessions and a really great staff. The slides and kids water jungle gym are all in very good shape a d for the more adventurous type they even offer body boarding included with the price of admission. Of the 3 water parks Greenville Rec operates this is the best one.

Affordable family fun for all ages. They kept the water slide lines moving steadily.

Loved the place it is great and I come about every weekend but I do not like how it is crowded . And it is not safe because there is a sign that says please keep your belongings with you . Because today we was just swimming and a boy and girl were looking in our bags probably looking for money or a phone or something .the place is full of people and full of dirty scavenger rats looking and stealing all of our stuff and people not caring where they put their stuff and so I also found people peeing in the pool and tons of bugs so I do not like this disgusting place.

Kids loved it there. So much to choose from to play on. Its also very Clean.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. It wasnt too busy, and there were a lot of play structures for the kids. My only complaint was the litter in the grassy areas. Would have looked way nicer if it had been cleaned up, but it could have just been an off day, and it may be different during the week.

I enjoyed seeing my family having a good time in the pool. I didnt like that there werent any signs at the beginning of the main road off Frontage Rd or at the top of the street that Southside Park is located on. I missed the turn to get to the park 2 times. I think the waterparks should stay open until 8 pm on Sunday-Saturday. They will make alot of money by staying open a little bit longer.

My son is 18 months and the kiddie play area for the smaller kids was very old co.pared to the bigger playground. And the baby swings were almost all the way in the sun. It wasnt crowded at all but not the best place for a toddler to play.
