Went for the disc golf course. Its not a bad course. Signage could be a little better, but otherwise its pretty solid.

Great disc golf course however Im wondering how sturdy that swing is . It needs to hold if you want to get out over the water . Walking trail is coming along nicely also .

It really needs to be marked and labeled better, but a nice course

We really enjoyed our adventures. Only part that sucked was walking into a wasp nest.

There are parts of this park that are really beautiful, but the roads are not paved in some parts and it just seems unfinished. If you kayak, there is a dock that you can launch from. It has the potential to be awesome if a little more work was put into it.

Finally improved the park! Still work to be done for sure but good move forward for Powdersville League of Athletic Youth. Disc golf course is nice with 18 holes. Still need about 15 tweet box’s but there is markers and it’s pretty simple to figure out where you need to go!

Great up and coming park. Disc Golf course is awesome, 18 holes and in great shape

Xx
Review №15

Fun disc golf course has really great potential. Not kept up very well, grass is a little over grown so its easy to lose a disc even with a decent shot on the fairway. Seems like it would be a great course in the colder seasons. Also not very cart friendly due to hilly terrain. Overall great course!

Love this park. They’ve really turned it around. It now has one of the upstate’s best (in my opinion) and constantly evolving disc golf courses.

Love this place!!! We need more places like this. Good place to fish, go for a walk, take your dog for a walk, watch birds, or simply enjoy the solitude.

Once you pass the dry fields and desolate wasteland there is a lovely river towards the back of the park with shade and neat walking trails. The walk up to the trails are steep but if you look around there are more shallow places to go up. Also great place to kayak, there is a launch area and everything. But the water moves fast, not for beginners! Also everyone comes here to play disc golf!

Amazing trails and a kayak launch. We kayaked from here 9 miles to Piedmont. We took it pretty easy and it was a 6.5 hour trip.

Ma
Review №28

This is a great park with mostly unpaved trails that are awesome for walking your dogs in the summer without them burning their paw pads! However, I feel like I need to warn dog owners who are wanting to come out here- people frequently let their dogs run loose here in spite of the leash law, so look out! The reason I knocked 2 stars off my review is because my dogs were recently attacked by a pair of off leash dogs here while the owner just stood there and yelled. One of my dogs suffered a puncture wound. Enjoy the beautiful scenery the park has to offer, but definitely keep your guard up! This isnt the first time this has happened to us, either.

As for the park itself, its kind of odd. It looks like they maintain one of the ball fields and the river dock, but not much else. My son and I canoed from the unofficial put-in spot off Saluda Dam Road and got out here this past weekend. It was a good time! Not the prettiest river (lots of tires, etc in the water). Took us about 5 hours with a snack break. There are 2 rapids in the first stretch (before you get to Saluda River Yacht Club) that could flip an inexperienced paddler, but it would be easy enough to get back in the boat in the water after. There were a couple places with fallen trees across the entire river where we had to get out (sat on the logs) while I hauled the canoe over the trees. The dock at Dolly Cooper park made takeout easy. Just watch out for the ant hills!

Seems to be a work in progress .... I can say there have been significant improvements in the disc golf course since I was here a few weeks ago and the entire park has been worked on since I first checked it out a few months ago. There is still a lot to be done, but its not at a standstill.

Review №33

Great place, with good accommodations, but they havent kept it up, the baseball field is over grown, and the kayak launch hasnt been cleaned of debris in at least a few months. However it seems to have a nice disc golf course (I have yet to play it).

There is now an 18 hole disc golf course!Need to walk up on a lot of holes from the natural tee pads to locate the baskets(cantsee them from the tee). After you play once youll know where the baskets are.Go buy some disc golf discs and discover this awesome expensive sport!

Looks like a deserted project to me. The only area of the park that got finished was where the kayak dock is. Other than that its a bunch of little half done stuff. Random stairs, baseball field that was never used and blocked off roadways. The only spot we saw that you could possibly fish at was from the kayak dock. Barely an attempt to give the public something to do outside getting in trouble. The only people I could see spending time here would be people that are up to no good. What money was spent there was wasted.

This is a great place to escape the rigors of daily life, an oasis of nature preserved amid the ever expanding concrete jungle. Theres a small boat landing or launch for canoes and kayaks which allows even handicap persons Easley put in or take out their water craft. Whether you want to fish, go for a walk, take your dog for a walk, or enjoy lunch this is a dog friendly, child friendly place to go.

This is a great hidden gem with a kayak launch and a hiking trail around the entire Park area. We take our dogs on the trail regularly, as do other dog owners. Much of the park still needs developed, it is empty except for an unused overgrown ball diamond.

Review №68

I just went by so I could walk the trail and set up my Eno and read a book like I always do on nice days, but the park is closed. I asked the man who runs the recycling program next to it and he said its shut down till they decide to open it again. This honestly makes me very mad. I love that park.
