I recommend this place to anyone wanting to just get away for an hour or two. I brought my dog here and walked the trails. He was loving every second of it. It was a peaceful walk surrounded by trees and the Enoree River.

Easy access, plenty of parking, clean open space, beautiful old stonework and running water / waterfalls. What else do you need for a relaxing walk or picnic.

Beautiful area with nice path to walk on. Nice tables and swings for hanging around and a perfect place to catch a serene yet mesmerizing sound of the water roaring.

Overgrown. Trails were about a foot wide. Only 2 picnic tables and nowhere else to really put a blanket down to picnic if you wanted to. People just sitting in their cars looked strange also. Lots of people visited while I was there, so it must be liked by locals. I drove 45 mins and picniced on the rocks with my lady. We made the best of it, but wont go back. Neat looking small waterfalls and nice swings were the only plus to the area. Dog park seemed nice but didnt go up there.

Chunks of this park are nice, like waterfalls, two picnic tables and a river overlook. But if you follow the trails and go deeper into the park you’ll see that it’s trashed and overgrown.

My wire terrier loves this park.It has large fenced are for over 25 lbs with benches, tables and lots of trees. There is a smaller area for dogs under 25lbs.My dog has met lots of friends at Pelham Mill even though hes small, he loves playing with the big dogs, all are well mannered. Weve only encountered one that was overly playful.

Riverside park featuring remains of historic textile mill & post office, plus dog area & picnicking. The Pelham Mills Site, sometimes referred to as the Buena Vista Factory, Hutchings Factory, or the Lester Factory, is the site of the ruins of the Pelham Mills cotton factory near Greer, South Carolina on the shores of the Enoree River.Included on the property are stone and brick foundations, the bases of two steam smokestacks, brick pilings, and a mortared stone dam with six sluice gates across the Enoree River.

I always can enjoy my time at the park with our with of my pet. Benches too sit, swing to swing with, paths to walk; great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Review №27

Plenty of waterfowl and wild life around. Great history. The old mill office looks really good..someone should really do something about the wasps and hornets nesting all over it though. Trash cans are available but it seems like a lot of people would rather throw it all on the ground and in the water, which is a shame. Otherwise, love the new swings. But, stick to the park earlier in the day to avoid the many hook ups lingering around the area.

It was neat to read about this history of this are. Next year (2020) it will be 200 yrs since the first mill was built at this location. Im sad to see it vandalized with spray paint on the old foundation and litter laying around. Im a come back and try to clean up some of it. It is a nice place to wander through the woods if you dont have a lot of time but want a peaceful place to get outdoors and see a little history.

I think this park has the potential to be a great park for those wanting to do sight seeing. I have been here several times and seems as if its a hookup spot for undercover Gay guys, as this all goes on there in broad daylight. Would like to see it cleaned up.

We visited this dog park on Sunday with doggo. Its okay as far as general dog parks go. Parking is not in abundance but seemed to accommodate the dog owners that were there. Its divided up between small dog and large dog sections. Word of advice: BRING WATER FOR YOUR POOCH! The water supply is cut off until Spring according to one patron. There are dog stations though one was void of any baggies. Keep an eye out for lazy dog owners as we noticed a moderate amount of poo piles scattered around the large dog section :( Best to choose a day when its not been raining as certain areas are muddy.

Could be a really nice dog park but folks need to be responsible and watch their dog(s). If your dog is bullying another, acting aggressive, being obnoxious...put your phone down, stop socializing and take control of the situation! One misbehaving dog should not cause the good dogs to have to leave the park. Common sense people!

This is a beautiful remnant of history, a true testament to the powers of man, mother nature, and the unavoidable chasm of passing time. A great spot for a picnic or a casual hike. Note, if youre going to follow the trail up the creek, I recommend closed toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants, as there are many areas that are impassable without getting up close and personal with some of the friendly plants (and a few of the unfriendly ones!). Enjoy!

Great Dog Park! Friendly pets and people. We were visiting from Alabama for one week and we were made to feel right at home and our dogs had a blast! They were totally stoked about meeting and playing with new dogs. Thanks Pelham Mill Park for making my dogs vacation the best ever! A donation is in order.

This is one of my favorite parks to go to. There are plaques that show the history of the area, and there is a lovely viewing area of the dam. They also have a dog park and nature trail right next to the dam itself. The only downside is that there are some unsavory characters that Ive seen there before. One of them stopped me on the trail and wouldnt leave me alone, so if you do decide to go on the trail, either bring someone else with you (you should always have a trail buddy in case of emergency) or at least bring some sort of personal protection. Please dont let my last statement scare you off from the park because it really is a pretty view.

Small local park built in the site of an old great and Cotton Mill. A few paved walks but mostly paths to various overlooks on the Enoree River. The 1800s era damn and slices are in surprisingly good shape and the sound of water rushing thru the gates is beautiful. A few nicely done, explanatory signs are in the area.If youre a dog lover, the on site dog park is simple but very nice.

Nice big area for off the leash play with other big dogs. Plastic baby pools including hoses to fill them with water, drinking fountain for dogs, old tennis balls to throw and some very nice people with their dogs. Everyone was well behaved. The only thing that was disappointing is the amount of poop around the inside perimeter of the large dog park and scattered garbage from lazy humans. PEOPLE... PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF AND YOUR PUP!
