This was a fun surprise! On my way across country I found this beautiful, historical bed and breakfast. My host, Camille, welcomed me with warmth and great conversation. She is very knowledgeable about the history. After our conversation I toured the house and felt drawn into the history of the place.Great hospitality, clean hotel/mansion/accommodations, beautiful lodging and location, and amazing history.

This B&B was fabulous! The hostess was fun and knowledgeable. She knew the history of the home and surrounding areas. The trip was work-related and she accommodated our changing needs with ease and a smile. Take a bit of time to sit on the screened wrap-around porch and have a glass of wine or sone sweet tea, its perfect! Planning a return trip for a relaxing weekend with my husband!

We LOVED our stay at the Belmont former cotton Plantation! Our host, Camille, was the perfect representative of Southern hospitality, going out of her way to assure an amazing stay in the Greenville area. Even though its far from our California home, we will return. Our room was delightful and beautifully furnished to represent the antebellum era.

What an awesome experience! My family stayed here one Friday night last month on our way to the beach. To have a chance to stay overnight in such a historical place was so cool. Great host and tour the next morning after a great breakfast. The whole house and grounds is open for you to enjoy and the rooms are really nice. Only drawback was with such an old, grand house the AC was not able to cool the up stairs adequately. They have an old cabin out back that I want my wife and I to go back and stay in in the near future. If you love history this is a must!

We stayed here while in town to play in a tennis tournament. What a magnificent old home! The lady who runs the place, Camille, really went out of her way to make our stay a great one. I cannot say enough good things about her. We wandered about the home and grounds and were thoroughlyimpressed with it all. The prices are reasonable and the breakfast each morning was amazing! Definitely going to stop back here next time we’re in Greenville.

Fabulous hospitality and gorgeous furnishings. Due to my schedule I was not able to see the outside in the daytime nor was I able to hear the history of the place from the owner. My only negative was that my room had lots of paint missing on doors and baseboards, as if it was going to be repainted sometime soon.

When you enter the plantation and the house you feel like on a time travel. The manager there takes care of you as if you were part of the family. But the best was the breakfast: it was wonderful and a lesson in history at the same time. We learned so much about the background and the era it was built in. After a guide through all rooms and parts of the stately home we decided: this was not our last stay there :-)

We drove past this mansion - and noticed the open gates! We saw a few signs, which made it look like it could be toured so we drove on and rang the doorbell. No one was home but we later got help from a deputy officer in the area. He got ahold of the owner and caretaker and they graciously offered us a tour for the next day, as no one would be home till the following evening. Our travel schedule wouldnt allow us time to stay an extra night, in the mid/southwest , but I googled it and it turns out to be a bed and breakfast!!! So, next time, Im in the area - we will be planning ahead and stopping in!

A great opportunity to stay in an antebellum home. The tour of the house and hearing about its history of the house added to the experience. The room was comfortable and a lot of work has been done towards bringing the house back to its former glory, although this is still a work in progress. Its a little way out of town.

Wow... wow... and one more wow... landlady hospitality has been great, she also provide a private tour of the house. Rooms are huge and very well furnished with time period fornitures (including some original pieces recovered during the years by the current house owners). Its been a shame that we were able to spend only one night because, apart of the splendid breakfast served by Camille, its a beautiful place that needs more time to be fully enjoyed.

We visited the annual Blues Festival in Greenville and stayed at Belmont Plantation. We thought we were back in time as the Plantation was run by its first owners. The style is beautiful, it is very comfortable and the woman it runs the place nowadays does a really good job. It is obvisiouly she is loving what she is doing - to make sure everything is perfect organised. You can see that on many details throughout the house. If you ever pass Greenville Mississippi you have to spend a night there. It will stay forever in your mind. Alex and Claudia fromAustria
