Wonderful city park, pleasant autumn walk. This park is contiguous with the Tanger gardens across the street, so theyre easily combined for a longer walk than combines enjoyment of both nature and art. The pictures include shots from both places.

This place is great for everyone. A true gem in Greensboro. Great if you just want to spend sometime all by yourself or if you want to bring the whole family. I made the wrong turn and stumbled onto this great park. It was raining but we decided to explore it since we were already there. The statues and the landscape go in perfect harmony. To us the best part was the Bog garden. Dont miss it. its across the street from the main entrance and a very short walk. It was flooded in parts ( its supposed to be, is a Bog!) which meant the creeks were flowing. The water fall ( i think is man made) is perfect for taking pictures. If you are in the RTP area is worth the 40 minute drive. Will be back on a sunny day with my 8 yrld. This place is perfect for the kinds to disconnect from their iPads, cell phone and play station and just run and explore.

There were lots of different nature elements in this park. there were lots of benches and birdhouses here and the trails were well kept. The babbling brook was particularly fun to watch and had the teaching circle nearby. This is right across the road from another park with a cross walk that has warning lights.

A naturalistic park with paved unpacked trails. Part of the walk is on decking as you cross through the big near a small lake. This park is great for seeing wildlife like ducks, turtles, chipmunks, owls, egrets, and other creatures. It’s a great park to walk on hot summer days because it is mostly shaded. A lovely feature is the waterfall that was built into the side of a hill. Most of the trails run beside a small creek where the ducks like to hang out.

Im really in love with this place, and Im not sure how you cant be. Growing up on the North Carolina coast and yet being a lover of the mountains Ive always been around water. This city owned park does a great job showing off its streams, small waterfall and bog. This is the Pinnacle of relaxation for the area, not to crowded and teeming with wildlife including birds, fish and all kinds of small animals. Hopefully your not afraid of ducks haha.

Beautiful gardens. Small and easy walking. Entered through the main entrance with plenty of parking. Right off the parking lot is a little free library and a picnic area. Most of the park is in shade with easy well groomed walking paths. This would be a great place to bring young kids- they allow tricycles and big wheels for kids but no bikes.

A beautiful, heavily and completely shaded walk through wetlands and such. Much of it is a boardwalk or paved loop. Strange that it is in the middle of the city and well hidden. Proximity to Friendly Center wouldnt be known had you no geographical awareness of Greensboro.Serenity Falls is a good stop and not on the main trail. Easy to see from the trail though. Good photo opportunity. The name fits it perfectly. Greensboro did a great job with this.Just beyond the falls on the main path is a stop at a pond. Signs about not feeding geese and such are here. I have talked to a lady sporadically over a 5-year period or so who comes every Sunday morning regardless of weather. She parks here and relaxes for a couple of hours. Amazing that she is always here and we have exchanged stories, bios, etc.You will see wildlife such as owls, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, etc. You will also hear owls with their who as you walk the loop.Never busy and this is great. Good secret I guess.Greensboro did a fantastic job with it and this is a great serene walk away from the hubbub of the surrounding area.

Absolutely beautiful and well worth the walk through. Other people are very friendly there and will let you know if theres anything of interest to see. On my trip, there were baby owls looking out of a box at passerby. This is also very close to the bicentennial garden. Definitely worth a visit and trip away from the mall thats right next door.

We have been going to the Bog Garden for 20 years. It is beautiful year round. There used to have beavers, but they have since relocated them. There are many different species of birds to see, especially in the early morning. Owls do live there near the pond. The waterfall, and the new bridge are such beautiful spots to take photographs. It always has shady areas to walk, and hike up a trail. Great for families!

I live in Greensboro and this is one of my favorite places to go. It has a boardwalk and sidewalk all the way around. This makes it accessible for wheelchair users and people who may have trouble walking. The Serenity falls area is not paved or has a board walk, although one can see it from a small bridge. It is shaded during different parts of the day and has an abundance of birds, small mammals and wildflowers. There are signs to not feed the Canada geese, these are non- native waterfowl. I would suggest feeding the native waterfowl in the stream that leads to the small lake. You can also leave bread on the hand railings and squirrels and chipmunks will go and take the bread.

Lovely place for nice long peaceful walks immersed in nature. You get up close to the trees and you never know what kind if critters you will see. All while staying on a nice clean level boardwalk, eliminating muddy feet and tripping hazards. There is a lovely view of the lake as well as small streams within the park. Its great for small kids. They love seeing all the ducks and turtles. Its like hiking but without the hassels. It is a beautiful escape hidden within the city. The best part is that you are completely shaded under the giant canopy of the tree tops, which is perfect for people like me who tend to burn easily.
