Wine and cheese/meat plate were awful. Service was OK, but not what youd expect at a place like this. The environment just didnt feel right. Im not saying that the environment is necessarily the establishments fault. I had originally signed up for their wine subscription, which I emailed and called the next day to cancel and was assured the cancelation was processed. Note: I had to call about 5 times to get an answer. A month later, I get a charge on my credit card for their subscription. Very poor customer service and product. Farinas down The street is much better food, wine and service.

First time going to this winery and first time trying wines.(I’m a whiskey drinker) this experience was so much fun and Patty Barlow was such a good host for us. We enjoyed our visit and she was so knowledgeable on all the wines and how we tasted them. If you come here and you read this ask for Patty she was amazing! Definitely coming back here next week. :)

Love this place! The tastings are a great price, it is $14 for 5 tastings and I find that you get a good amount to sample. I loved the wines! It was hard to pick out a favorite, they are very smooth. Service is great, and the staff is very friendly. I have visited this winery twice now on my trips, and have not been disappointed.

Plenty of options, a great way to spend a few hours sampling from 3 or 4 dozen wines, sparkling wines and Ports! Staff is really great and more than willing to give you an education about their selection. Would recommend finishing with Papas port.

It has a great tasting room or you can buy by the bottle and sit and relax while you drink it. They have a light menu if you are looking to have something with it. We went for the tasting and chocolate taster. The wines were excellent and the chocolate made by a local shop was excellent which is saying a lot since I dont usually like chocolate!

Had a fun time! Morgan Thomas was super sweet and made the experience even more fun! She knew what she was taking about and gave goodrecommendations :) Gotta check this place out!

The cheese platters were delicious as well. Plenty of parking nearby. Would highly recommend a stop if you are in or near the area!

Messina Hof hosted our birthday party in February. Everything was outstanding! They were very easy to work with, were responsive during the planning stages, worked directly with 3rd party vendors, and, at the party, kept every prior promise that they had made. We were very happy and impressed. A huge thank you to Kelsey, Garrett, Jill and crew for making our party memorable.

We tried out the virtual wine tasting this weekend with our neighbors and it was a lot of fun! I called during the week and set it up. We did curbside pickup to collect our wine. Garrett was our host and was very flexible with the time for scheduling. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a couple things we had never heard of before. It took about 1.5 hours because we had two tastings and there was a lot of chatting in between. I would budget 30-45 mins if you’re only doing one tasting.We made it an “event” and made a meat and cheese board for our tasting and had Lindor chocolate for the various wines. We broke our fancy glassware as well. We set the laptop with zoom up at the end of the table and it was easy.Highly recommend as a quarantine activity. :) The personal attention from Garrett and the social aspect was great! Great job Messina Hof!

Absolutely enjoyed my evening there. Suzanne & Ben were knowledgeable, and very accommodating they made excellent recommendations. It was the day after our anniversary and she made us feel very special! we will definitely be back & bring family.

The wine is good but the staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. I walked in to buy a few bottles to take home. The older lady working, completely ignored me as I stroke in line waiting. 2 different customers came up and set their glasses on the bar in front of me. The worker proceed to ignore me and begin helping them. When I mentioned that I was in line first, the worker was rude and said she didn’t realize that I was in line.I’ve been there multiple times, bc I like their wine, despite the awful service. Other wineries offer samples and suggestions but not this place. If you just want good wine, go here. If you are looking for an experience to try new wines or have a good time, go down the street. There are plenty to choose from with better service.

Had the privilege to experience a magnificent gem for wine lovers. I don’t really drink, and know nothing about wine. Ironically I’m from South Africa.Had a glass of “Sweet Justice” which was not only really good, but also very fitting for my second date and BFF interrogation. Yes, the dating thing can be quite interesting even at 50.

This was one of the stops on our wine tasting tour and we were very glad it was. The other stops were letdowns but this place gets it right. The atmosphere is fantastic and mirrors the an old ranch house from the mid 1900’s. The wine was great (when compared to other Texas wines...in other words, not Napa Valley) but even better still was the service. The host took really good care of us and ensured we got all of our questions answered. This would be the only place on our tour we will go back to for another visit.

Beat customer service on the whole strip!!. After visiting several wineries, I found this little gem almost at the end of the street. The workers were friendly and attentive, they made sure we had everything we needed to celebrate our special occasion. Trey and Ben went that extra mile to make sure we were comfortable in their establishment. I wish I would have came here first. Trey and Ben thank you for taking care of us!!!

I brought a few friends with me to celebrate my birthday and we had the best time tasting wine. You get 5 wooden coins for $15 and some change. We got the charcuterie board along with the chocolate. There are so many wines to try so we will have to go again! My favorite was the sparkling rose and Sweet Justice .

We came here and the staff was so friendly and made the birthday celebration special. We had a room to our selves. Trae and Ben were so nice and entertaining! Highly recommended to come check this place out! All the staff were so friendly!

Fantastic experience hosting a bridal shower at Messina Hof! Patty was so knowledgeable and accommodating. We did a tasting of mostly dry reds but she was so nice to change up the tasting for a friend who prefers sweet wine! Well I to say Kudos to this winery and its customer base..was there other day in the latter afternoon..I passed out w/my friend present and was very startled at my position..but she knew enough to blurt out “call 911” to get this medical situation started..and this was not from the wine (which I only completed 1 glass)..I found out the customer whom helped with my medical situation became the Good Samaritan..she just happened to be a ER nurse there with family...and hopefully I did not crash y’all’s evening..I do have to say she drop a bomb on my chest, well 2 bombs that I remember..and she did say I would be sore..and to date I still am a little sore..And, many blessings to the Nurse..thank you,thank you..also, am very grateful to the Grapevine EMS Fire,Police for their professionalism..I can’t say enough good things..it was an absolute “pleasure”..well not mine, at the time, but I could hear them even in my condition..don’t know if anyone at the winery helped, but I thank you also..everything will be fine w/me, as I left that evening.I will peek in from time to time for a glass or..2..and please, no more chest bombs..jaja..again thank you all..keep the wine flowing..

Wonderful location, wine and people! Tori and her team were amazing to work with. I booked Messina for a bridal shower on a Sunday afternoon and the whole experience was perfect. Tori was a pleasure to work with; stayed in contact with me through the entire planning experience and simplified my job immensely - they took care of food, linens, and wine (of course!) not to mention the beautiful location and balcony. Will definitely use them for events in the future!

Artistic flair runs throughout this top-notch tasting room(s). The wine selection represents some of the best blends in Texas. Their GSM and Sagratino are must-haves to spend your wooden nickels on!

I live near main street and finally tried this place. Got served half a Sangria for $9. Farina’s across the street has a lot better sangria and serves you double the amount.

We visited grapevine with our 2yr Old and 8 mo old. Although we were traveling with kids, we still wanted to experience the grapevine wine scene at least a little. This winery was perfect because it is right next to a little grassy park area our kid could run around. There was a little outdoor seating area just next to the park. The woman at the bar was extremely helpful in choosing a wine and very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. We’d go again.

We were looking for wines and possible donations for our upcoming wine tasting and we were met with great enthusiasm and hospitality. We really enjoyed ourselves. The food that we ate was great. It complimented the wines that we tasted. Ill be back again.

I am a huge, huge supporter of vineyards and wineries in Texas. I only buy local and make it a point to visit wineries when Im in a new town. My daughter and I stopped by the Messina Hof winery in Grapevine this past weekend. Im really not sure where this whole experience went wrong, but this was hands down the worst experience Ive ever had. My daughter wrote out a thorough review so I wont expand too much on that. I just dont understand how this particular place has 4.5 stars. Their wine is good but truly I will never buy another bottle again. Messina Hof, its not just about your product ... service and hospitality is paramount. Texas has so many wineries and vineyards. You really need to step it up. Grapevine Springs Winery and Umbra each got over $100 dollar sales from me that day and I will make it a point to recommend them to all my friends and family.

The taste testing was awesome! It is just $12.99 for 5 tokens to try 5 wines. And you get to keep the testing glass! The interior is beautiful and the bartenders are friendly.No bathroom inside but public bathroom outside around the corner that is clean.

Messina Hof came through in a pinch for me when I was trying to find a company with a great tasting sparkling wine, in quality packaging and who could do a custom label for my wifes 50th birthday. Seems most of the other wineries who sell a sparkling wine cant do the custom labels because they dont actually produce their own. They did it for me in less than a week in a quality fashion! I would highly recommend them for these services!

We held a one day company meeting at the winery last week and everyone loved the meeting room and the entire site. Tori and her staff were excellent hosts and extremely accommodating!

Messina Hof winery can always be counted on to have a ton of interesting wines that are excellent and this tasting room does not disappoint. The list was HUGE and we decided to just get glasses of wine and finding a table to hang out and enjoy good company. The space is a very cool older building with spaces on two floors with all kinds of nooks and small tables and chairs. It was easy to find a place to sit and enjoy our wine and visit.

Loved our experience with Patty for our wine tasting! So fun and learned a lot about the diffent wines they carry! We will definitely be back for a date night!

This winery is great. The staff is amazing Jillian, Maddie, Tina and Trae are great and the wines are amazing. We are there every week just to see them and try new wines. Looking forward the the 2017 chardonnay.

Beautiful setting and delicious wine! Forego the tasting and do the 3 flights of wine while lounging in the bandstand or tables in bar area. When you walk in the Wallis Hotel, a beautiful staircase greets you...but the staircase doesnt tell you where to go. There werent clear instructions on where to go in the hotel for tastings and such so its much like choose your own adventure and youll eventually end up at the bar.

Wines are very good, esp Malbec, inexpensive for the quality. Interesting events. Nice 2nd floor porch overlooking main street

My husband and I have been members of the VIP Club at Messina Hof for over a year. We love it! They take really great care of their customers and their wine is excellent. Their Customer Relations staff is exceptional and we love visiting their wineries.

This place is great! My husband and I went to several wineries in Grapevine and this one was our favorite! There was a wide selection of wines to chose from and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! The building is a replica of an old hotel that was in Grapevine and the bartender was sweet enough to take my husband and I on a privet tour and explained some of the history of the building and town. If youre in Grapevine dont miss stopping into this winery!

I got the privilege to be a part of a private wine tasting and our sommelier was very helpful/informative about teaching us (mostly non-wine drinkers) the techniques and intricacies of their products. She was fun, generous and very professional when dealing with our group (despite us having a bit of fun at their expense). As far as my untrained wine palate goes, some of the more inexpensive wines offered (under $25) tasted great, but were similar to me like popular inexpensive wines found at your local grocery store. Our group seemed to enjoy the Pablo and the Port (which the owner graciously poured for us) the most and I would highly recommend trying them yourself. But all-in-all we had a great time visiting Messina Hof and we thank them for their warm hospitality.

Did the $20 wine tasting. All of the Messina Hof wines were wonderful. Nice, classy vibe. Will definitely be back.

Terrible service. We walked in and immediately heard the lady behind the counter tell a guest they could not sit outside. Why would you tell you paying guests they cant sit outside and enjoy the nice day. We then walked up and did not receive a warning welcome. It was a short, unpleasant greeting that was straight to the point. We have never been here and I asked if they have any signature wines that they are known for. She then passed me a menu of over 20 wines. The experience wasnt what I thought it wpuld be. I advise that you dont spend your money at this establishment.Note to the owner or manager. Dont hire staff that dont want to be here. You are in the service industry and the staff working Sunday, Oct 14th need some serious training. I hope you take this into consideration. Also, I overheard one of the girls talking about guests and laughing. This is absolutely unacceptable. One girl made our visit a negative one. Thankfully you had two others working that day that made it a little better.
