Hiked here a couple of years ago. Was great! Heres some info from nps.gov: Are you looking for a challenge? If so, the Zuni-Acoma Trail could be the hike for you! This trail is about 7.5 miles, one-way, and crosses a lot of jagged lava flow areas as it goes from Highway 53 to Highway 117.

I am from acoma. Love this place as a kid. Though place to live.

Very fun trail to 4x4

Stopped by to use the bathroom there and surprisingly cleaner than I thought it would be and there was toilet paper available.

Nice rest stop with pit toilet and picnic table in the shade. We stopped during cycle tour, bummer no water.

So thankful to have had this stop along a lonely stretch of road. So much to see and the kids loved it!

Beautiful landscape. Not very busy with tourists. Sandstone bluffs a few minutes up the road well worth the detour.
