I loved the park. I am happy they preserved the area to people like me that like to hike.

This west side park has a newly paved walking path around the pond and lots of new trees. In normal times, the pool is a major summertime attraction. Mountain biking trail through the woods.

Cute little park with a sizeable pond, playground & picnic areas, as well as a public pool!A wooded area can be found up a gently sloping hill with several unoffical trails going throughout.Apparently, the pond is stocked with fish. It is home to many ducks, where people can often be seen feeding them bread crumbs. There is a good-sized parking lot, large enough for several dozen vehicles and includes marked areas for the handicapped. Parking is free. The pool was closed, so no report other than a water slide was seen.

We went to Richmond Park because a trails app said it had easy and short trails. But when we got there, other than a short sidewalk around the pond and a sidewalk that went toward the street, there wasnt really a trail to speak of. But the park itself seems very nice. It just wasnt what we were looking for.

Richmond Park is a nice little retreat from the city, but its right here and convenient for a quick break. There are foot trails along the creek on the North side of the pool area, too for quiet reflection. Richmond Park is my favorite close getaway.

Nice park, only downside is restrooms are closed Im guessing due to covid or to lazy to keep them up to par during covid.

Je
Review №14

Review skewed due to quarantine. Pool was closed, so not factored in. Pond somewhat stagnant due to lack of activity, so not fully included in ratings. What I can comment on is the cleanliness; overflowing trash everywhere which may be why there was trash scattered in other areas as well.Beyond that the playground equipment was nice and safe and the park, minus the trash, is very nice.

Ive been going here ever since I can remember. I love that they keep the pool area true to the original pool house but they need to renovate the inside. The trails are fun! There is a lot if people dumping in the back though. Which is so sad. All in all my son loves it so I cant complain much.

Dont what could have made the difference between four and five stars. Growing up I remember going there a lot, but it was nothing like it is now. Really a beautiful lay out. From the paths threw the woods, to the extremely large swimming area. The tennis courts, to the picnic area. I guess there was a couple of spots around the pond that need addressing . To much pollution for my health. But all and all i really was happy with my visit along with a out of town friend from Lansing. Actually it was his idea.

Best park in GR! In my humble opinion. There are two playgrounds, both of which have a decent amount of shade in the summer(a necessity for us), and the drinking fountain/bathrooms are right between them. The woods behind the playgrounds have plenty of paths that are used by both walkers and mountain bikers. We often see people in hammocks, so if thats your thing, this is apparently a good place. There is a large pool with waterslide, tennis courts and basketball courts in the middle of the park, a soccer field, and a softball/kickball field at the far north of the park. And the hill on the south side of the park is excellent for winter sledding. There is a pavilion that can be reserved, and there are plenty of picnic tables with nearby grills. Seriously, a great place to have kids birthday parties. And starting this summer, there will be kayaks for rent on the pond. The only thing about the park that is not great is the parking lot. Potholes galore in the entrance. Other than that - perfect.

Love Richmond Park. Nice large park with plenty of open space and wooded area with trails to get outdoors and enjoy #PureMichigan. Regularly see people fishing at the pond with a new viewing platform overlooking the water. Have had many a picnic and family reunions here over the years.Nearby is a new memorial for fallen GRPD officers remembering their service and sacrifice.During the summer months the pool is open and is filled with the joy and laughter of kids and families.
