I always love coming back home to Gloucester. Beautiful. Love seeing the Boston lights from here on a nice clear night.
Parking is for residents only so you may need to bike here during the season. off season, they dont seem to mind as much. Its a beautiful beach with protected waters even on stormy days. The bottom visibility is 5 to 10 feet if your attempting free diving. At least it was in the end of October 2020. Seagrass, muddy sediments crabs, starfish at 10 to 20 feet. The beach itself had nice calm waves if any and a gentle slope. I wouldnt surf here. if there are big waves, then there must be a terrible storm in Massachusetts
Great little beach. On street parking with resident sticker in season. At high tide there is very little beach and there are many little stones close to shore which are covered at high tide. At low tide, the stony areas can produce beach glass. No services.
Beautiful views. Beauport homes, the breakwater and Stage Fort Park to the right. On a clear day or night, you can see Boston.
Soft sand. Crystal clear water. Beautiful surroundings
Beautiful, peaceful and off the beaten path.
Great place to watch the sunset with boston in the distance.
This is the best place to come sit even if its just parked in your car! The only place that you will get a skyline view of Boston... and the sunsets are just gorgeous... add in the sound and smell of the ocean and why would you want to be anywhere else... Ill be honest, its not a beach I go to for swimming, I prefer big waves, but its a great beach if you have small children (easy to keep an eye on them), or just to hang out and enjoy the scenery!
Wonderful view of the harbor and on a clear day a view of Bostons skyline.
Id taken a long drive to escape home for a bit. Tired of the pandemic solitary. I parked at Niles Beach for the ocean breeze, scent and sounds. It was great.
Nice beach with a view of a harbor. You can only park there if you are a Gloucester resident.
Great beach to watch a sunset.
Great for kids because the beach is right next to the parking spots. Thecsabd and water are ok but not as nice as the bigger beaches.
Best view of boston. beautiful place to watch the sunrise and sunset (believe it or not). go around the rest of the back shore to see the other side of the sun rise/set. lovely beach to swim/relax and walk the doggies, too!
One of the best beaches for non-locals to visit.
Glass and trash everywhere. Definitely do not recommend going barefoot in the sand. Other than that it was beautiful!
I grew up in Gloucester but havent been to Niles beach in years. It sure isnt the prettiest beach in town but Ive always liked it there. If you have little ones its a good place for you as you can see them much easier than the bigger beaches. Its also a great place to jump in at night. Parking is tough during the day. But I love to go there!
Resident parking only. They dont want you here.
Great little compact beach to visit if youre in the area.
Located on Eastern Point Road with convenient parking, Niles beach offers monumental views of Gloucester Harbor [In season this beach is sticker parking only]. Overshadowed by Gloucesters heavy hitters like Wingaersheek and Good Harbor Niles is an easy visit by car and worthy visit.
You can see Boston. Also its a beach for moms.
I Love Gloucester, so anywhere that We go when are there is awesome.... But, truly this is a cute little beach that you might not find unless you are truly looking for it, but you should. The view is incredible.... on a nice clear day, youre looking right at the Boston skyline, i swear....
Its a beach. Not much more to say here. Maybe the sand could feel a little softer between your toes, maybe not. Its really a preference. Waters pretty wet as well.
Its sunsets are always beutilful. free to park sassy access. nice little beach
Love watching the tide roll from the car
Simple honest beach...Allot of visitors love to walk the beach.
This is my fav beach~~Nice and private
Beautiful sunsets. One of the rare west facing beaches on the east coast.
Great place to walk and enjoy the sea air and beauty.
A quieter beach than the big beaches which can be nice. Resident parking right at the beach
Small and highly accessible. Great views of sailing ships.
Grampy passed away, I drove down to Gloucester and this has always been a go to spot to gaze out to sea and reflect.
Beautiful beach for viewing sunset in New England
Great way to see the city lights without traveling down Rte 1 or I93
Nice beach, limited parking, great spots to explore on the northern section during low tide
My fathers Beach.
Nice Place! Good for Kids... Quiet and good for rest.
A very lovely beach nice and clean plenty of parking enjoy the cleaning water
Beautiful you can see Boston straight out of the Atlantic Ocean
Anchored in a storm, in the Shoulder Season like we do...5to1 all chain...not suffering!
Beautiful setting. Small beach but lovely for photos
Nice and clean
Great local beach with nice views of low tide.
Cant wait to come back!!!
Excellent sunsets
Beautiful
Parking is right at the sand. Easy to unload beach items.
One of my favorite places to go in Gloucester
Sleeper beach in E. GLOUCESTER. Very nice views to Boston
Did a beach clean up here. Gorgeous beach, but lots of trash and no trash cans for patrons to use!
Nice view of Gloucester Mass. There are some private beaches.
Great beach for relaxing, calm waters and Sea-glass hunters like me, this beach has a great view of Bostons skyline!
Wicked storm at this beach
Absolutely beautiful
Great beach, great view of the Boston skyline on a clear day.
A very nice beach to sit at night
One of the best places to watch the sun go down on Cape Ann!
Beautiful beach
Nowhere to park at all. Residents
Very little people there
It is so beautiful
Beautiful!
Beyond this beach was private property.
Nice beach. Seems to have private parking only. It is kind of small and not as clean as others in the area but still a beautiful view.
Awesome place to look for beach glass. Shallow, gentle water great for toddlers (swim shoes recommended due to quantity of shells, pebbles, and beach glass)
To find parking spot, you have to get there earlyNice and clean.Beautiful place.I recomend.
Beautiful area. Food & potties around.
Amazing views.
Loved the walk on the beach and the views were awesome!
Great!
Great spot when you want calm waters.
Quiet place to go on a warm spring evening.
The view of Bostons skyline is fantastic but there is a lack of substantial parking. Somewhat sheltered with almost no surf.
One of the best in town!!!...
Wonderful...
Love this beach, great place to take the kids.
Great little spot for a few hours, A little rocky.
Its so relaxing and the sunsets are pure eye candy!
Lovely locals only beach
Cool runnings
Nice and quiet!
Shouldnt talk about this place but the locals know its the perfect beach
This is probably one of the best public beaches in the North Shore. Clean, with bathrooms and food.Parking is quite expensive though: $25
Perfect place to view the sunset and also the Boston city skyline.
My peace and serenity
Good for sea glass little smelly nice people around
