Located at the end of eastern point lighthouse breakwater 3000+ steps. Dog bar lighthouse is a rewarding spot to sit and soak up the sun. Good place to fish as I saw many people with their fishing gear.

Hammond castle was Great place to take a tour. Good to see you this year on the cruise ship for a dinner from the Beauport cruise line. Very interesting place and amazing places to take photography as well as learn a lot about our American history.

Awesome spot to check out. The lighthouse is located all the way at the end of a stone warf. Great place to go on a sunny day to take pictures or sit and take in the beautiful views of the ocean. Unfortunately there are no benches or tables to sit at but you could easily sit on the flat rocks to have lunch.

Really fun to walk out to the island. Saw a dead seagull in the way tho

Beautiful place, there are tons of resident only access but dont pay attention, the road is not private property and there is a small parking space. The GPS will take you there!

Its a long walk out across a large jetty to get here, but the views of Gloucester Harbor & the distant skyline of Boston cant be beat. Dont worry about driving through the private roads through a ritzy neighborhood to get here - its no big deal. They ask for you to pay to park here, but we skipped that, as they were out of payment envelopes.

The walk out is lovely and very scenic.

Access is problematic due to residential limitations, views are beautiful.

Amazing view!! Great place to catch a sunset. Just about a half mile walk on the rocks from Eastern Point. Fishing off the rocks next to Dog Bark is popular. Cant wait to go back again this winter.

Nice walk on a long pier that protects Gloucester Harbor. The views are beautiful. You can see fishing boats coming and going. The water is very clear near the pier and we watched a Cormorant dive and swimming under water. Great for a walk on a nice day.

Limited parking. Difficult to get to after memorial day. Awesome to walk out along the dogbar though.

Beautiful hard to find though

The Eastern Point of Gloucester is a great place to ride bikes: thru Brace Cove beach, on to the retreat trails (private property but never anyone there), out to Fort Hill road and its beautiful houses overlooking the ocean. Finish up with a slow, bouncy ride on the Dog Bar (not for road bikes) and then relax with ice cream in Rocky Neck.

Very beautiful and awesome! The only down side is you need to ignore the private road and property owners only signs going down the roads to get to it. It was $10 to park and you have to be out before dark.

Exhilarating, especially if you dont like heights! Upon approach, take the grassy path along the chain link fence to avoid the more difficult, rocky trail below
