Beautiful!!! Every site was so nice! Well maintained, clean, great views! Electric and water hookups. Dump station was fine but location was odd behind some houses. The showers were gross, and the toilets were below average. Need to update. However, we would recommend this place, and hope we can return there some day.

Had a great time tent camping at site T15 over Labor Day weekend! Pros of this site: 1. Close to the restrooms. 2. Lots of shade so it stayed cool. 3. Short walk to the beach area. 4. All sites have electric, water, grill, large picnic table, firepit with attached grill. Cons: 1. The pad had sand but the entire site was surrounded by gravel. The crunching noise is loud in the quiet night. I didnt notice the gravel at any other site. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it! They sold very small firewood bundles for $5 and 10 lb bags of ice for $2 at the gate. The neighborhood Walmart is a few miles away and the Walmart super center was just a few miles miles more. I find myself drawn to the outdoors more since the pandemic. This was a great getaway with the kids.

13 straight years of summer camping here! We love sites 3, 5, and 7 best because we love the cove. Spots are shaded and plenty of shaded walking. Clean, family friendly, and convenient to area grocery stores and food! We love to stay in the park though.

I have a 2012 Landmark fifth wheel and a 4 door Silverado Duramax dually 8 foot bed. Site 10 required me to pass my site and go around the loop. Folks they should have told me stay wide its tight on the far end of the loop. My fifth wheel tires were up in the tree stump roots. I could have pulled wider if I knew in advance. Theres also a row of parking space on the right which makes it hard to get a chance to pull wide. Last my site was a steep {12°} back in I barely fit.Very nice camp host and a beautiful campground.

Great friendly service, place is very clean and each and every spot has a beautiful water view... The Girls in the office are freaking amazing.Easy in and out of the spots even with a 45 rv.Clean bath houses with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Boat ramp is very accessible. Water, 50 and 35 amp available in almost if not all the spots. No inernet. No sewage.. If you planning a long stay bring a sewage cart or you can drive your camper to the dump station behind the office. Hope this help!..100% recommend this place!!!

Its a friendly place. The staff are helpful & facilities are well cared for & clean. Two of our younger grandchildren will come today for the weekend. So excited they have a swimming area safe for children. NO Lifeguard, its our job to be sure we watch them. Walking the roadway must teach children the rules to follow. We will stay with these because this is their first camping trip. A chance to teach respect for other camper site, etc. Theyre is a gate entrance & exit. We stayed in #44 at $30 per night & no discounts. We have some morning shade with afternoon shade. Perfect. A great view of lake until all the other campers arrive. Thank you River Forks Park

VERY nice staff. Do a great job! The views in RV are fantastic. Plenty of wildlife, including deer and Canada geese. Campground is very nicely groomed. Now, why only three stars? YELLOW JACKETS! The county designer thought putting dirty trashcans hung every other campsite was good idea. Well, so do the yellow jackets. We looked at a several of the campsites and all are washed out to the point of being very dangerous. They have huge drop-offs from slab/pavement (18+) with no railings. Most of the slabs are undercut, just waiting to break off (hopefully without someone on it). BATH HOUSE AT BEACH… OMG… over 100+ parking spaces, enough picnic and beach for 200+… ONE BATHROOM STALL! And NO PROPER ADA STALLS. Regs require one ADA and four REG stalls PER SEX. Also, no active mechanical ventilation present. Seniors and children beware.

Nice campground, looked like a few sites might be a little difficult to get into due to being built on a steep hill. Most sites looked level and most had a great view of the lake. Had a really nice, peaceful week here. Only negative is people who think dog leash laws dont apply to them, but you get that in most any campground.

Its pretty.. camp sites are closer than I like , there are no trails for walking or mtn biking , they need more attractions but I think its a federal park , but we did book a 3 day week end just to see whats its gonna be like and they do have lots of camp sites and lots on lake Lanier, dog friendly just not on the beach or I think it said in the day park , friendly staff who worked the office . Ok we going to give this place a shot ,

First visit to this park. Went out of season fortunately, sites are close together and I imagine it would feel very crowded when full. Was given some local information after the fact. We camped on Possum trace which is a peninsula, the wind came up unexpectedly and trashed our easy up canopy. Was told later by staff that it happens all the time Heads up would have been appreciated. Lots of deer wandering around great for the kids to see.

Nice lakefront park with good staff, but our experience included our neighbors smoking marijuana and our other neighbor was BLARING their music with no regard for everyone else around. Would be a five star place otherwise, but the other campers made it less than pleasant. So much for a family feel for Fathers Day.

Fantastic park on Lanier! All of the employees we encountered were extremely nice and professional. Clean park, well laid out. The check in office was so very clean and updated that I told the lady working there that it felt like a private RV park and not a county/state operated one. Actually it was nicer than many private parks we have been to!! We have already booked another trip!

I don’t normally leave google reviews, but the experience I just had with river forks park has blown my mind. I am flabbergasted at the rudeness of Barbra who answered the phone. I’m not sure why someone who is hateful would hold a job position that requires hospitality. I called asking about campsite privacy. I frequent camp grounds and a lot of places pile you right on top of each other. The website shows no actual pictures so I called to ask. From the get go she had a rude and impatient tone. When I was trying to explain that I would like a decent amount of privacy and would even be willing to pay for RV parking to ensure it.... she started saying no, no, no, no, no, no, no..... literally over me while I was speaking. They don’t allow that apparently, which is fine, but there is still no need to be rude. Then I ask if there are any tent sites that are more secluded and she says, “ have you ever been here before? “. Rudely I may add. I tell her no that’s why I’m calling and asking these questions. She literally says, “ why don’t you look at our website then?” ( very snappy ) the website has a map, but no actual pictures. I tell her this and she literally growls. I then tell her that I would like to speak with someone else and she quickly transferred me to Pam, who was sweet, but I’m still blown away by the down right rudeness of Barbara. Completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and sets the wrong tone.

Great place. The beach area is very nice and clean. There is a playground right by the lake. There are plenty of nice warm showers in the bathroom by the beach area. The bathroom by sights 13 and 12 are also clean. But the shower isnt as warm its more on the cool side and only has 2 or 3 showers. There are a few bathrooms around the park. Not sure on how many. The lake is beautiful. Tent sight 13 has a great view of the lake. I love where its sunrise and sunset its beautiful. The tent sites are a good size. The lady at the office is funny and nice. Parking is easy and all roads and parking spots are paved. There are lots of deer that go by. I would suggest giving this place a try.
