This is a wonderful park. My dog and I always find a new route to explore.

My son and I love the Veterans park. Its got something for everyone. Baseball/Softball field, Soccer/Football fields, Basketball courts, Walking trail, Playground, Pavilions, etc., etc.The pavilions are great for Birthday parties and are free. Please note they are first come first serve but there are three of them and they are large. Each could easily host 2 parties at a time.Also, please take a few minutes to visit the Veterans Memorial at the front of the park which wraps around and separates the front entrance parking lot.

Quiet yet busy with community. People working out soccer birthday parties street hockey and there was an orchestra at 9am practicing at the pavilion. Money well spent by the County.

Large very clean park. Lots of fields and picnic tables. Whoever designed it should have put the playground equipment under the large trees though. All kids play equipment is in the sun. Other than that great park!

Good park for sports like basketball, soccer, and some biking. The park looks well maintained.

Plenty of room to roam! Secret trails with fairy-tail trees and picturesque views. The natural way to make new memories and honor those who have served....so that we can.

Well maintained! Being a veteran I appreciate what they have going on here and a lot of trails and places to sit and recreational activities!

Big very big. Walking trails and running tracks. Plenty of shade and space to play anywhere.

My son and I used the baseball nets but the grass inside the nets was overgrown and the nets themselves were moldy. Grass outside the nets was well kept. Needs some housekeeping

One of the cleanest and well maintained parks in Gainesville. The park staff is friendly and super responsive.

Love this park to exercise. Its big and a significant distance to exercise. They have equipment for pull ups, dips and push ups in addition to a basketball court, tennis courts soccer field and more. And of course they have the Vets names etc

There is SO MUCH TO DO!!!!! Great, friendly atmosphere, plenty of room to do your own thing! Clean place and bathrooms! Wonderful place for the family ️

The park is great but impossible to get my wheelchair out to the playground area to play with my grand daughter.

Trying to remember. Has a wonderful calming effect. Ive got bits and pieces of broken memories of this place. Just need someone to help fill in the blanks.

Awesome park. Love the place, its not as nice as westside but the scenery is far nicer. Id definitely go here if youre just passing through Gainesville for a day or two.You can host parties here too, has a lot of nice activities

1. Bring mosquitos repellent!!2. Read #13. Actually stop at a cvs or Walgreens and get mosquito repellent!!4. A beautiful park! Great place for a walk, run, game of soccer, outdoor grilling, or outdoor exercise!! They have pull up bars, push up areas, and dip station. There are small trails for a quick walk as well. The park seems like a safe area to bring family to. Definitely bring mosquito repellent just saying

This park has it all... Even a roller rink. Nice walking trails with well groomed fields and woodsy parts. Great for the family and especially good for the animal friends.

Great walking trails. Lovely rock formations and old trees on the Chapmans Pond side. Dogs on leash welcome.

Beautiful Park well loved. Many Veteran events with color guard, food trucks, & happy to be there Veterans. When my kids were little we went for kite flying, soccer, & the monuments. Wonderful indoor space for meetings. Veterans meticulously take care of the Monument & Flags. Wonderfully well planned Veterans Events with war vehiclesChildren can climb on and parents as questions about. Wonderful memory building location.

Probably the prettiest park in town

This is one of my favorite parks in Gainesville to go for walks. There is also a nice play area for the kids.

A really wonderful park. Lovely facilities with big open fields. The covered pavilions are perfect for a party and they have grills. Many types of courts, a sand volleyball court, a big soccer field, street hockey, baseball and tons of nature trails to walk down. Lots of shade trees and just a very nice park.

Great place to take kids to play. Very well maintained

Nice for a walk around the fields, playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, and others. Nice trail & good for waking the dogs. Theres a playground for kids &a picnic area too. Has been renovated in the past few years, so its clean & the turf is good. Many teams train here so may want to reserve if you can or take your chances for availability. Theres good parking spaces but gets crowded as teams finish up. After dark in summer watch for mosquitoes. Very nice park to have nearby.

A great party for the community, play equipment, pull up bars and nestled away nature trails make this a great park.

Not one of the newest parks in town, but still a good one. The playgrounds for the kids are a little small, but there are lots of other areas for different activities and sports. Good spot for birthday parties.

Good place for Pokemon Go or to just get some exercise. Dont forget your bug spray after the sun goes down.

Absolutely impressive from many perspectives! Childrens play area, facilities, Memorial from 1700s to date and into the future, soccer, beach volley ball, Memorial for K9 veterans, lots of open area, trails and more. Beautifully maintained!!Thanks to all for creating, maintaining and keeping the memorials up to date!Probably most of all, Thank you to the veterans and current military who ensue we all have the freedom to enjoy this wonderful place!

So pretty and so inclusive. Saw quite a few folks walking the track. Very nice way to spend the morning.

Lots to do, tons of Pokemon go stops, clean and well kept.

Great park with good trails, two play areas for kids big and small, a volleyball court, basketball court, soccer fields, baseball field, batting practice court (no machine) tons of open spaces, big fields, woods with trails and sheltered outlook point, a gazebo, a rock circle, water features, huge grandfather oaks, several memorials, and a nice bathrooms. Has several covered picnic areas perfect for birthday parties, and several bounce house rental companies will bring out and set up for a reasonable fee if you want to make your party epic. Been coming here since I was a kid, and now i bring my own kids.

Great park but the skate rink seriously needs a cleaning and resurfacing. How about this time when they paint the lines, maybe add the lines for roller derby also?

Nice park. Memorials are simple but meaningful. Has alot to do and has restrooms.

I love this park. I grew up going there and it has a wonderful playground, jogging path and sports fields.

Nice park but hopefully someone reading this will take note and maintain the issue:trail entrance to Chapmans Pond, on the northeast side under the pavillion, is ALWAYS trashed. So much glass its not safe. Several broken TVs, rugs, wood, shopping carts, beer bottles, tshirts, you name it. Sometimes looks like a dumping spot. Not cool, especially when its consistently ignored.

One of the best war memorials I’ve seen. It’s on the level with those in Washington, D.C. Every American, especially veterans, should see it. There’s a floor tile for every year of our history and brick columns represent those Americans that gave the ultimate sacrifice in our nation’s conflicts. Very impactful.

Lots of land, big open spaces if you need open area or shelters. Room for large and small parties, with room for kids to run and play and be kids. Grass is well kept also.

Great park for a variety of adventures. Dog friendly with hiking trails, soccer fields, basketball court, hard surface skating rink and a playground for the little ones.

Terrible soccer fields

Love this beautiful park! Wide open spaces for kids to run forever. Designated little kids and big kids playgrounds. Grills to cook hamburgers and hot dogs on. Large covered gazebos to eat with family or enjoy a party with friends. Can get crowded on weekends but everyone seems to play well together. Soccer field, sand volleyball court, and basketball court too

As a veteran I love to go to this Park. The activities are great and the Park is gorgeous.

Nice park, went to a friend’s kid’s birthday party. Wish the parking was a little closer but I needed the walk. Lol

The picnic benchs need to be a little further from the tables so bigger people can sit comfortably. At least like one table of the six . Bathroom didnt have toilet tissue. Otherwise its a nice park

Beautiful park,excellent for those wo enjoy meditation by nice waterfall. Great place just to walk jog or just clear your head.

Got there at best time not to hot to walk the paths around the park.

Veterans Memorial has it all! A great walking trail with work out stops and instructions, volleyball, basketball, baseball, huge soccer fields, and great playgrounds. There are also plenty of quiet little places if you want to read a book or study. I love to bring my dog here to run the trail with me. Only thing that would make it better would be if they had a dog park!

Nice part, several play area for different ages, pavillion with grills and a large field.

Nice place to have a wedding, retirement party, birthday party. You can also just come and get your work out on. Play sports or just have a good time.

It has beautiful scenery and plenty of things to do, including a fitness run.

Good park for playing flag football ultimate Frisbee or any other sport on a nice Saturday morning.
