It is a simple nice park for playing soccer and basketball. The down side is that there is no playground structure.

Sometimes you can see the little aligators, but I dont understand why the door to the alligator area is open without a lock and the fence that separates that area from the dog park is almost falling. More security in the park and please, pick up your dogs poop

Well maintained fields. There is also a dog park, sand/Beach volleyball courts, and basketball courts.

The grass is top notch and it is definitely a place to go and play some outside sports with family and friends

A nice clean free park for dog lovers. A fenced in dog park. That came in handy for my big and little dogs to not having to be seperated.

The dog park can use some TLC no seats to sit on a lot of dirt needs new grass the little pool was filthy. Also it would be great to have a walking trail.

I frequently bring my dog here To The small dog park located within This park and I can say its a great place for both dogs and owners To Interact and Socialize. However I will say I give Forest Park four stars because there are many gaps in The frankly cheap fencing which can lead To smaller dogs Escaping. My own dog has escaped a fair couple of Times and Thankfully I am always right on Top of him but under different circumstances This could Obviously End Badly.The park itself is located right next door To The Fire Station so I Take comfort in This and The Park also offers a Bathroom as Well. One problem They have yet To fix is There are homeless Individuals who apparently spend all day and night There Which makes Forest Park a bit sketchy after sunset I can imagine considering These Individuals appear To be under The influence most of The Time.Regardless I do enjoy Forest Park and so does my small Chihuahua mix as well as The other dogs and owners we have encountered and if youre looking for a nice quiet park for you and your dog To get out and Enjoy I definitely recommend Forest Park (Keep In Mind You May Not Wish To Linger Here Past Sunset Although This is Just my Personal Assumption)

Lots of dirt, not so much grass or trees in the fenced area

It has a great soccer field. I love how the deer watch all excitement of the games from the edge of the woods. Its a great place to bring your little ones. When there is no games going on you can let them run the length of the field. I found that it will knock the energy right out. Then home for a nap.

Beautiful park. Restrooms could use attention at times otherwise this is a very nice park. Dog park, basketball, soccer etc.

I love bringing my dog here to run around and burn off his energy. Though a recent incident at the park leaves me concerned. There is a lot of dirt and sand around the park which the dogs love to dig holes in (mine included) but while I was walking into the dog area I fell in one of the holes and badly injured my ankle. I believe it is the countys responsibility to ensure the safety for everyone at the park, owners and dogs alike. I sadly feel I have to resource to another park until the problem is resolved.

Looks like a nice dog park. There is only one area for large dogs or you could mix small and large. No separation. When I went to get out of the car there was a possum running around the park. This is at 12 noon I parked blew my horn to scare it away. I did not enter the park due to larger dogs

A bit lumpy but great field.

I have been using Forest Park for several years and have seen zero improvements to the dog park. I know it recently transferred hands from county to city and both entities should be ashamed how poor this park is. Now the responsibility falls on the city. The park is a decent size and shaded rather well. The lack of seating options is rather poor. Two tables and one bench is all. About 1/3 of the dog park is sand and owners let their dogs go buck wild digging really deep holes. The city should be filling these holes in weekly by grading the sand and making it level. The grass can get high at times and makes me curious what the mowing schedule is like. The worse thing about this park is the water fountain. It’s broken. The only working water is a water hose for the entire park! THE ENTIRE PARK! Kids from the basketball courts have to come into the park to get water and drink from the hose. This not only dehumanizes them but isn’t sanitary nor is it a good mix having kids running in and out of the gates leaving them open and agitating the dogs. A spring tensioned gate would help mitigate that issue. Fixing these issues, especially the water fountain should be done promptly. Not pushed off due “lack of funding.”

While the park is small there is usually not many dogs at one time. Owners are pretty respectful. However, the park is poorly kept up. Cut tree branches were left in grounds for over 6 months until folks just threw them over the enclosure. Grass is cut infrequently so very buggy and hard to see poop!

HAS A DOG PARK! I found this place by chance and have loved it since, so does my dog. We go when Ive not been able to walk him or play with him. He has a large fended area he loves to run and explore over and over again. Mostly a soccer field, does have places for volleyball, basketball, and small shelter for picnics

The restrooms there has not been clean in two weeks, it is disgusting.

Needs a play area and more places to sit and a bathroom would be great. A few drinking fountains would be great too with cool water. Like always parking but needs more stuff.

Nice park; dog park, basketball, soccer. Dog park prone to puddles due to excessive sugar sand. Fluffy dog owners be warned.

Great spot for lunch the restrooms are always stocked and clean.

Ok place to let your dog run

A nice group of owners that mostly watch their pets rather than their phones at the dog park ... right now both fences are both broken, but Im sure its just a matter of someone notifying the parks department to get them replaced, right? Shady spots on benches and picnic tables, sandy places to dig, LOTS of room to run and explore. My old guys are really liking the adventure of it! :)

So beautiful... Rode a bike through most of the park. There is a science museum somewhere in the middle of it, too!

One of a few spots for recreational soccer. 3 fields so theres plenty of room to play. Only gripe is that they never really maintain the fields well and also the people who go to the adjacent dog park sometimes let their dogs loose on the fields. Other than that its a good park

This park has a enclosed dog area that nice for training and letting your dog off the leash.Also trails along hogtown creek

For a small park, the dog area is very nice

This is a good spot for soccer, picnics, and Frisbee. There are basketball courts but is mainly for soccer players. There is an open space under some trees beside the basketball courts that is quite and good for yoga.

A basic park. OK to subpar soccer fields (even after closing for a year). Some beach volleyball courts, small basketball courts, a weird angled dog park, and a playground. I guess you could use the two tiny pavilions they have for a party but that’s about it.
