Absolutely recommend!! I went with a friend and our kids. It was shaded 95% of the walk. Lots of spots to sit and rest. Convenient to downtown Gainesville.

This is a beautiful park. At one of the pavilions where the very small parking lot is, the tables were filthy! The seats also! This is because people sit on the tables & put their nasty feet on the seats! We love to go there when the weather is nice to eat lunch. These need to be kept up better.

Another part of the Solar System tour. Worth the time and effort.

Mostly shady, wide concrete pathway. Mostly flat w a few mild elevated areas.Restroom were relatively clean. The city needs to improve bathroom ventilation as it was like a sauna in there.The park is well maintained, no trash, adequate parking & several entry points.Good job City of Gainesville.

Nice place just to get away

I like the hummingbird and butterfly sanctuary. It was clean and has been very well maintained. I used to bring my son walking there when he was a baby and that was 21 year ago. It still is a beautiful place.

Well when I pull up I parked in the handicap there was a handicap buggy there I got on it drove it straight into the store done my shopping got up to the register the for real nice and courteous I drove straight to my car unloaded my buggy thrift shopping cart at the handicap Zone and I didnt have no problems at all thanks Walmart

Nice place to jog or walk. Theres lots of shade, birds and chipmunks, and a little creek runs along it. A few benches are offered to rest and enjoy the park. I love the scale model of the solar system... it blows my mind!

Ivy Terrace Park has a nice concrete walking path with water features, planetary information and wildlife throughout. We were not hassled but we did see a homeless shanty built in the bushes.

The paved trail is super nice to walk or bike on. Along the trail theres a to scale model of the Solar System to follow along with. Nice quiet, shaded park to hang out at.

Nice place to go walking

I had the most amazing day here walking my significant others husky with him. A very large portion of park/trail is shaded by the trees, so it helped tremendously at keeping him from overheating. Not mention there being a stream for him to play in all along our walk if he felt too hot or needed a drink (even though we brought him water anyway). There are also structures like gazebos and bridges with roofs. Getting there was a little confusing at first because Google Maps took us to some mid section that was a ways off from the main parking area, but it was easy to figure out where to go from there by just following along the side of the park. Im still a little confused by the board saying Wilshire Trails and not Ivey Terrace Park, but Im just going to assume that the trails and the park are named separately.... I guess? That didnt take away from our amazing day whatsoever. Even the people and especially children were nice to be around. They were very polite towards the doggo and not at all rude or uncomfortable like Ive experienced at some other locations. The only reason Ive deducted a star is because the bathroom/picnic table area is infested with bees. While Im not afraid of bees or allergic whatsoever, the majority of people are and allergies to them are prevalent. A solution for this should be very seriously considered.
