Interesting replication of the original building built in Fredericksburg, TX only one year after settlement. The dollar donation is well worth your time.

Nice building with interesting history but not much worth seeing on the inside. This is surrounded by a nice park and garden.

What a beautiful museum full of culture and history. Surrounded by a very beautiful park with lots to do. Picnic tables and walking trails everywhere. Not to mention blocks surrounding area, up and down main street Fredrickburg is full of shops, restaurants and beer and wine tasting. Great picture opportunity. Museum is free by donation. Worth the look and stop.

As a first-time visitor to Fredericksburg, I enjoyed this museum very much. Like your typical museum, it features mostly photographs and maps of the towns history. What is interesting is that the museum is housed in a replica of the towns first church, or kirche. While there is no entrance free, donations are accepted.
