Great park with lots to do and places to explore. They have a great walking loop with a bridge across the river. Short walk to Fort Granger. Covered pavilions with grills, corn hole, table tennis, and restroom facilities. Also a very nice play area for kids called Tinkerbell Playground. Additional play equipment and sand pits throughout the park. It was busy when we last visited but its a big park with plenty of space to spread out. Kids loved it!

Its great to see parks full of people, families, friends, exercisers, and relaxers. This is a great park with tons to do. Id recommend coming here no matter your mood and take a walk. If youre in a bad mood swing on the swing set. If youre in a good mood exercise around the track. Regardless, I encourage you to seize the day. Get out and enjoy this park.

We enjoyed the walk around the park with our dog. The 1 mile paved path is great for walking and/or jogging. The playground area is great for kids! There is even a sandbox and cornhole (but youll need to bring your own beanbags). There are pet waste bags available if you bring your dog (which must be kept on a leash). We enjoyed our time. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.

Very nice park just over the railroad tracks from historic downtown Franklin. A great place for the kids, for a family gathering (under one of the large covered pavilions), a picnic, a long walk, a place to bring your pet, a put-in on the Harperh River, or a short walk (up hill) to the historic fort.

Great place for a family outing. You can bring your own food and eat it there too.A couple of play areas where there are a number of innovative playthings for children. A few trails to take a stroll thru the park. A bridge over a small stream. A lot of photo opportunities. There are a lot of open spaces to relax and there is a shaded area where you can have food.Ample parking space and well maintained bathrooms make it a good family place to visit on weekends or even on evenings if you live around Franklin area. Definitely reccommended.

Pinkerton Park is one of the most well-maintained outdoor spaces I know if in the area. I am one of the many people who make a commute to Franklin for work and find 5 oclock traffic unbearable, so since its been nice out Ive made a habit of going for some exercise after work. Its a nice, wide open area that never feels too crowded, even when the parking lot gets full.

We LOVE pinkerton park! It’s huge and has something for everyone. A section that’s great for toddlers and younger kids, another section that’s better for older kids, tons of walking trails and fields to play on. I wish they had a dog park here but we love bringing our dog to go on walks here. It’s one of my favorite parks in Nashville! Tons of trees and a river that runs through the park. Every time we go there are kids playing football or soccer.

Ive been coming to Pinkerton Park for years, and love it!Great walking track, with little excercise stations along the way for those who need a little more than just a pleasant walk. Also, plenty of porch swing style benches to stop and relax for a bit.Fantastic playground for little ones, up to big kids.Nice, covered picnic table areas for parties, family get togethers, or just a relaxing outdoor lunch break.Take a walk up the hill and check out Fort Grainger, (theres no actual fort, but the imprint, berms and trenches of what used to be there). Great view from up there, too! There is a big enough grassy area for half of Franklin to play frisbee, soccer, or whatever, and not run into each other! There is also a spot to put in a canoe, or kayak in and float the Harpeth.Check it out! You will not be disappointed!!

I really liked visiting Pinkerton Park. We didnt specifically intend to stop at the park, but we were in the area and wanted to give the kids a place to run around. I am glad that we did stop. The park has a lot of good amenities for both kids and adults a like. For the kids, there are 3 playgrounds. 2 of them are open playgrounds, and the other is completely enclosed with a small wall. I like having the wall because I can hang out by the entrance without worrying about the kids getting out. With that said, the main reason I didnt give the park 5 stars is because of the state of the playground. It is pretty run down, and doesnt seem to have been maintained very much.On the adult side, there are some nice pavilions with grills and built in corn-hole boards. There is even an outdoor ping-pong table, with a ping-pong ball dispenser (for a fee of course). There is a nice running/walking path that runs through the park. I dont know the total length of it. There are a few areas where you can hang up a hammock in the tree line. And a bridge that crosses over the creek that runs along the border of the park. You can actually walk down to the creek in a few spots, and there is a canoe/kayak launch.I would definitely bring my kids back to visit this park again if we are in the area.

All the other Google guide are correct. This is a great..well kept park. One think left out is you can fish the very shallow river. I have caught small mouth bas in the pools and under the bridge. Unless it rained the past few days you will need bait as it is really to shallow for lures. Expansive, clean park with several stations for kids of all ages. Plus, plenty of walking trails for jogging, strolling, and walking dogs. One minor criticism and PSA: there is no baby changing station in the mens room. That is some BS. As if moms are the only ones that need to change a dirty diaper? Either put a station in the mens, or get with the times and make them unisex

Pinkerton Park has done many upgrades lately. They have an awesome ping pong made from a thick slab of granite. There are ping pong balls in a machine for a quarter, and they provide the paddles for free. They have set up a beautiful slab of granite with electrical outlets for working on your computer, tablet or just charging your phone. They have wooden poles with Hardware to attach your own hammock. Theres a beautiful paved walking trail, much of it is covered with trees for lots of beautiful shade. There have a couple of large, very nice playgrounds for the kids. There is rest room facilities. There are several covered Pavilions for picnicking. Theres a couple of large field areas to play frisbee, football, soccer or whatever your hearts desire. There are swings to relax in covered with shade. Pinkerton Park has awesome upgrades. Im impressed! Love it!

If you go to Pinkerton Park or any other park, TAKE YOUR PURSE WITH YOU. There are traveling thieves who frequent parks, dog parks, gyms, YMCAs, and recreational areas who wait for unsuspecting women to leave their purses in their car. Within minutes of the victims walking away, the victims window is smashed and their purse is taken. Many times the credit cards are immediately used, and sometimes the victims identity and bank accounts are used for further fraudulent activities. Park smart and dont become a victim. If you see something or someone suspicious, call the local police to alert them.

Not a lot of parking spaces to accommodate all of the people who come out here on nice days during the weekend. Needs more activities. IMOThe playground is nice but a little dated. There is a ping pong table but has no paddles but they do have ping pong balls you can purchase for 25 cents. I guess you can bring your own paddles but Im not paying for something that I dont do that often.Anyways the park is clean and has a good ring/sidewalk to walk or ride bikes. Swings are very old and not for taller kids so if your 12 or older sorry for your loss and if your a parent like me your your out of luck swinging with your kids. They do have grills and tables for cooking out and enjoying your family and food. Also has a place to put canoes in the harpath river.
