Gorgeous! Fairly easy to navigate to for novice hiker.

Beautiful spot to appreciate nature. Its so quiet and peaceful. I got to see lots of ducks and turtles. The scenery was so nice, I just wanted to stay all day. Definitely stop by if youre in the fort worth nature center. There is parking right next to it so its almost no walking to get to the boardwalk.

A wonderful spot of nature in the concrete jungle of the Dallas and Fort Worth area. I wod compare this to a National Wildlife Refuge. You will see animals! We got there early morning and enjoyed the trails to ourselves. Would go back again if I ever visit the DFW area again.

If you want to visit the Fort Worth Nature Center but dont want to hike, this is a great option. It is an easy walk out to the boardwalk and has a lovely view of the Marsh area. You could carry out a folding chair and sit under the large awning on the deck for a peaceful respite. There are also nearby picnic tables and a Porta Potty in the parking lot.

There was a very sweet volunteer on the boardwalk who was fantastic to speak with. She got so excited when we found some tracks in the mud together. She is work the trip out there!

This is the showpiece of the Fort Worth Nature Center! I always see at least 10 bird species every time I visit. My only criticism is that they should have built benches into the covered viewing area so we can rest and enjoy it without standing all the time.

We took our grandson out and had a great time. A great place for a leisurely hike.

This is such a well preserved hidden gem right I the middle of the city. Great hiking trails and a great little museum for the kids.

Beauifull and Relaxing..

Water level is a little low and it was a hot afternoon (about 100 degrees) when I visited. I hope to visit again when it is early in the morning when wildlife is present. The boardwalk is nice and recently rebuilt with a covered pavilion in the viewing area on the dock. I recommend taking portable chairs to watch the water birds on a morning visit. I think this boardwalk is wheelchair accessible, but, perhaps, someone else can confirm that. Sorry, I did not take any pictures during my visit there. I plan to do that on another visit.

Great place to enjoy nature. Especially in the mornings.

Went there to bird and wasnt disappointed! Grebes, cormorants, coots, wigeons, ringed-necks, scaup, osprey, woodpeckers, herons , egrets. Throw in a flowing creek and a breeze and youve got zen! The large covered platform puts you out over the water- the perfect place for a picnic, a little yoga or just a bit of time taking in the view. Dont go to the FWNCR and miss the Boardwalk! Picnic tables near the parking lot also.
