Great place to see so many aircraft.....good people.....and a great car show too!

Nice opportunity to let the kids get up close and personal with some history. I really enjoy hearing the stories from some of the volunteers, many who flew in the actual aircraft or one just like whats on site. Bring your lunch and have a picnic. Lots of photo opps. We were here for a car show and plan on bringing the grandkids back to visit.

Great place to see a little aviation history. It looked really small when we pulled into the parking lot but when we went inside the Museum had some really great stuff: tons of model airplanes, displays, flight simulators and a real cockpit to sit in. Outside there were any planes to see and a helicopter to sit in. It might not be the biggest aviation museum but for the price it was worth a visit.

A good starter museum for kids to get into aviation. Teach them about some of the aircraft in the US armed forces during Korea and Vietnam. Good value for the money!

One of Fort Worths best kept secrets. Walk freely amongst the decommissioned planes and helicopters. Kid friendly. Great history! A small museum inside with lots of great local history about the air force base, and the part played in wars and aviation.

By all means this museum was a blast and I loved it a lot. My guide was really nice and by all means very helpful and knowledgeable. Inside part was great to see and it really showed me the rich aviation history of Fort Worth (something I’d never known before I came here) The little story every piece tells is truly astonishing and I think it adds great culture to where I live. Also, the simulator was a surprise and it was a lot of fun learning about some of the instruments inside. As for the outside, the aircraft on display were beautiful. I loved to see how they had aircraft like the F-111, the F-14, and the F-4 (there’s so much more but those were my highlights). It really was a great experience and I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about a little aviation history. Thank you guys for being so awesome

We took our 3 year old grandson & he was thrilled with all the planes. He loved getting inside a few & touching all the buttons Us adults enjoyed it as well. Some great history! Thanks to all the Vets who have sacrificed for our country! USA

Great little museum with many aircraft on display. The only drawback was the inside museum is closed due to covid. Still worth the trip!

Our family loved this perfect sized airplane museum with its amazing volunteers! My sons and husband loved talking with the pilots who flew many of the actual planes on site.

It was a small museum with limited inter active activities. It was neat to see the old retired aircraft and learn about the history of aviation in North Texas.It is good for kids 8+ to view the aircraft and play with the activities. Older kids (14-17) might not enjoy it due to actually ready and not being cool to post on social media. If the older kids are interested in aviation, I think they would find the museum informative and informational.

A great place to spend the day with family, friends or even alone. You can learn history and see your favorite machines.

My son and I had the best time learning about our military aviation history together. Our guide was so knowledgeable and personable. This place is a treasure for those of us that love to learn about our great military and incredible history. We brought a picnic and sat at the picnic tables they have on site. What a wonderfully relaxing way to end a perfect day at a cool place. Thank you volunteers for all you do and the joy you give out. And thank you for a great day with my family. Affordable and convenient location that is one of a kind. The people that volunteer there make the place what it is, a perfect day in our city!

What an amazing place. A good museum of the history of aviation and aircraft production in Ft. Worth, all sorts of planes you can get right up to, and something really special- the factory mockup A-12 Avenger. The guides are very helpful and knowledgeable. Go spend some time there!

My girlfriend and I came to visit recently. Theyve done an excellent job at fitting all these planes in an area that on the surface may not seem like a great deal of space, but youll appreciate how relatively close everything is. Theres a great deal of history on the premises, many of it going back to the Cold War and all the war machines that were born out of that era. Excellent displays including OV-10 Broncos, a Cobra gunship that actually looks like it could be refit and ready to fly tomorrow, my first love for combat aircraft, the F/A-18A Hornet, and Skymaster aircraft and F-4 Phantoms for daaaaayyyyys. Seriously, theyve got multiple variants of those aircraft. Definitely coming back once COVID leaves my city for good.

What a nice surprise this place is. I was born and raised in this area and thought I knew a lot about its aviation history. Boy, was I wrong. Learned a ton of info here and saw a lot of great displays. Super friendly folks here that will help you with any questions you have. Very cool!

This place is run entirely by volunteers, so the budget is low, but their passion shows. Really enjoyed seeing the different planes. The friendly and knowledgeable staff did great engaging the kids and making it fun.

Reasonable price. We got a family rate (not listed on the website) of $10 total for 4 adults, 1 kid. Guides were very knowledgeable. My son loved the simulator inside and the huge helicopter that people can get in outside.

It was fun to get out and walk. Always wanted to go there. Loved it.

A little boring the tour guide acted like we asked to many questions I got a family discount threw Groupon I may have been mad if I paid more

This is probably one of the best aviation museums Ive been too, accidentally....My hubs and I were driving down the road and just happened upon this awesome place, turned around and decided to come back the next day. We were able to walk around, thru and get up close and personal with some of the coolest machines ever invented (my opinion). Definitely a place to see again and recommed to others.

This place is new to the Fort Worth area in recent years. I dont remember seeing this place here while I grew up in Fort Worth. Great staff that works here and friendly. Nice gift shop too.For the price and viewing of the aircraft they have is not a bad deal. They even have some veterans in the building explaining to the kids about what the gadgets mean and do while being a pilot in the cockpit.They even inspired my daughter to become a pilot. Explained to all my kids what it takes to become a pilot.The museum is worth coming to view and see. I definitely want to come back to get some souvenirs next time.Parking is on a private lot or you can park in the street in front of the entrance. Easily to navigate to from I35 or 820.

Very small museum but its got its niches in regards to certain eras and plane types. They also have some planes and artifacts that ive never seen in even larger collections like an F-102 or one off mock ups like the A-12 concept. They also have some incredible original models in the interior part.

Joe gave us a tour and he was very knowledgeable about our Aviation history. Not too mention his own experiences. Pretty incredible to know that so much history is packed into this place!

Amazing place! This is a nonprofit organization so they rely on our donation to keep this museum running. Youll see an airplane flown by our former president George Bush, Sr. The plane flown by Tom Cruise in Top Gun and many more. The gentlemen that work here are veterans of war and have flown some of these planes. I invite anyone to come and learn about not only the planes but of the lives of the people that have risked it all in the name of Freedom.

Wow..great museum guides, very informative AND once you get these old warbirds talkibg (it doesnt take much), you get a whole bunch of anecdotes, stories and vackground information..great exhibits..

I really enjoyed being able to touch the exhibits. However, the docents (volunteers) really make this place come alive. I was surprised to read a review from someone who thought the guides talked to much. I met three guys who actually flew these museum pieces on active duty or in combat. You may be looking at a static display. But when they talk, the aircraft come to life.

Not the most sensational museum, but the knowledge of the volunteers was top shelf and the kids had a blast. A very good value.

A piece of American history right on your own backyards. Surprised the boys by taking them here. So educational yet fun since these are actual planes that our US forces formerly used. The staff is friendly and informative (veterans) $10 for family. Free to active duty. Great Groupon yet. Either way its affordable and worth the visit.

Good way to spend an hour or two with your kids. The price is fair for what you get. The planes are really cool, but my kids found the inside a bit boring. I kept them in there trying to kill time since it wasnt that big and I wanted to get my moneys worth :)

The air crafts are very interesting. The museum inside is packed with so much information as well. The also have volunteers that know these war birds and the history behind them. Very family friendly. I want to go back when I have more time to read the information they have inside the museum. Its only 10 dollars per family. Thats so awesome.

I came with my family just for something to do. I thought it would be Interesting to see the history they had at this place. When we got there we were kindly greeted and the older gentleman working at the front desk was very fun and pleasant to talk to. Then we met Sherry. She was our tour guide. I thought she was just going to give a quick introduction about the place and let us explore, but that wasnt the case. She was so kind and so sweet. She was very knowledgeable about aviation from her experience being in a pilot simulator almost her whole life and working for a big aviation company. We spent 2 hours of her explaining everything that was there when we could of just read it on the wall description ourselves. She was getting annoying going on and on and persistent on only following her to explain and talk about the items that was there. She kept saying shell let us look around but she never did. I started to wander off and do my own thing I couldnt take it anymore. But when my father in law wanted to wander off and have a seat because his back was bothering him. She would stop and keep calling him to come back so she can keep talking. It felt like we were in boot camp and allowed to go where she says to go. We all just wanted check out the place and do our own thing. But Sherry is very passionate with the aviation life and the history of it, she got so caught up talking about it and not notice the boredom and disinterest we had of what she had to say. A couple of us try to tell her that we just going to look and do our own thing but she just talked over us and kept going. None of us had the heart to put our foot down and say hey, just leave us alone and if we have questions well let you know. We had other places to be and left in the middle of her talking. We didnt expect to be there for a good 2 hours.

Anything less then a 5 star is crazy. This place is awesome. So much great American history. Everyone who works there is extremely polite and informative. Thank you for giving us a terrific piece of history. The F14 is awesome!

This is a must see. We were offered a guided tour. Our guide was great he took the time to explain the history that was interesting and enjoyable. Even my young kids got to sit in the seat of a simulator, our guide did an awesome job keeping us all engaged and excited. My kids cant wait to go back.

Very cool LITTLE museum. They have military aircraft from post WWII eras, and a few helicopters too. The staff is all volunteer (and wonderful) and its $10 per family to visit. Its a hidden little gem.

It was worth the visit. The staff was very pleasant. I had a good time.

Its not a large museum per set but the low cost and the people are what make it great. The cost for a whole family is only $10 which is more than reasonable. They also provide a curated tour at no additional cost. I have two boys and they enjoyed seeing the planes up close. Theres a couple of exhibits that let you go inside too them too which is really neat.I think its a great museum for anyone remotely interested in aviation should visit. Its definitely family friendly too!

This is a great museum, especially for the price. The best part is all the different aircraft outside that you get to see. It is staffed by volunteers who are knowledgeable and very friendly.

This a small place but its cute a good place to take the little ones when you want to have family time. If you are into the history of the planes ask for the best tour guide because its worth it. One of the planes were used in the movie top gun so thays interesting

Great looking collection of some significant aircraft. The F-111 from Upperheaford AFB in the UK, my father actually flew that aircraft.

My boys loved it here and I must admit I also enjoyed it! We got stuck in the gift shop and came out with a ton lucky admission isn’t that expensive! Good summer activity!

Amazing, little-known gem of a museum!! Well worth the visit even if youre only barely into vintage aircraft, plan on at least 2-3 hours. Staffed by veteran pilots and airframe builders with amazing first-hand stories.

For a small museum this place is packed with aviation history. Their petting zoo is phenomenal IMHO. Getting as close as you care to their fabulous array of aircraft is a great personal joy that any aviation buff will enjoy.

I love going to this museum. The permanent collection is lovely and always nice to look at. The traveling collections are always awesome. The museum has programs/activities available during the summer for kids and adults. The best part about the museum is that it is free to the community to experience all types of art and subjects

This was an awesome place for our ten year old twin boys to explore everything aviation. The museum is well done, including a nice area about the pilot Carswell, for whom the nearby base is named. The yard is full of planes and helicopters, some of which you can go in or through. Burned off energy and engaged curiosity. Nicely done!

Always fun to walk around and see the planes, and the money for your entrance is going to a great cause. Everyone that works there is a volunteer who is passionate or a retired vet. Any aviation enthusiast will enjoy.

Fort Worth Aviation Museum is a Fort Worth Treasure. Located conveniently just off North Main Street a stones throw from the Stockyards, if you are visiting Fort Worth or live here, you owe it to yourself and your family to stop by. Great for both the true enthusiast and the casually interested looking for an activity to do with the kids. You will be warmly welcomed and the experience will be a memorable one.

They have some really cool vintage war planes here. including one of the actual airframes seen in TOP GUN. They also have some B-36 relics. It is reasonably priced and my kiddos loved it!

Took a road trip for the hops and props event. Completely worth it! Fun event and flying on the c-47, southern cross, was amaxing!

Its nice for what it is. The staff is awesome. The planes are in rough shape but its an all volunteer staff so thats to be expected. Worth an afternoon visit.
