Room preference wasnt granted hotel smelled like weed everywhere you went

Good place if you get a discount. Units are dated, can be noisy, great valet parking, nice pool, bar and small restaurant and lobby area. Can smell a little smoky...even when not allowed.

Was there for the air show. Fun and easy. Staff is great and managed it well. Great place for the best Fort Lauderdale experiences from day at the beach to fine dining. Shout out to Joseph (manager) and Danielle, our server. Will be a fond memory for years to come.

Old resort but facing the beach what makes the difference, pool with warm water, room with comfortable bed, spectacular view of the sea, a bar that has several options for drinks, food and snacks..it is undergoing structural reform and I hope soon return. view of the suite 218..days of joy, rest. .Is friendly cat.

It was a real treat to stay here. Raphael made us feel very welcome the moment we walked in the door. Youll love the views from your room. Beds and bedding are top notch! We debated on staying at a resort but our trip was for shopping and this was definitely the place to be. It was nice to be able to enjoy two restaurants on the property. Highly recommend.

Horrible, was staying in an air bnb in this resort. Dirty, smelly, trashy people. Middle of second wave of coronavirus, packed club, people outside partying until 2 am, couldnt sleep. If you look up white trash in the dictionary this places picture would be next to it. The room smelled like a moldy basement. I left and checked in to a hotel instead. Absolute nightmare.

By far the worst experience in staying at a resort I had to switch my room three times they could not accommodate me to the room that I had ALREADY prepaid for. There were cockroaches.

A hidden gem in a resort hotel. Independent and authentic Italian family restaurant - once youre in the restaurant you could easily be in Europe. Very well done, and a good bar scene in a separate area. Valet parking only.

I wanted to give it 5 stars but the restaurant in the hotel needs lots of improvement. The calamari cost $15 but came out with 8 rings on the plate (looking like corner deli onion rings). Sent that back for some buffalo wings and they didnt bother the pluck the feathers off of the chicken. Plus they use the bag of salad mix as a plate garnish like that will help.

Great weather to sit by the water and eat. Regular bar food. Sit in the tables surrounding the outer part of the area, too overcrowded under the Tiki hut. Drinks were delish!

It was a horrible experience if a roach was my friend I wouldn’t suggest it to stay at this hotel it did not look like a resort at all well at least the room they threw me in it looked more like a motel or an old apartment. They then tried to tell me it was one of their privately owned rooms. That was a big turn off I never knew a hotel had private downed rooms as in if I was at a condo/apartment. The tub had rust in it in one of the bathrooms, the other was filling up with water as you shower I mean just horrible. I tried leaving to find me another hotel they didn’t want to refund my money.

I stayed here a few weeks ago with some girlfriends. We enjoyed this hotel very clean, staff was very nice especially the hotel manager Raphael he was so helpful he went above and beyond to help us...loved how we were located directly on the beach no crossing the street, also loved the valet service only $10 a day, we always felt safe while at the property which mean a lot for just us girls traveling. Great Location

This place would need a major upgrade to be disgusting. Rooms are exceptionally dirty and reek of mold. Looks like the building is falling apart. I ride motorcycles with groups that like to stay in dive motor inns. They look like 5 star resorts compared to this. Leaving ASAP

We went to Ft Lauderdale to visit the historic Mai Kai polinesian restaurant. We stayed at the Ocean Manor Beach resort hotel. We were told it was the first large hotel in the area and built in the 50s. You can imagine the people in the 50s that most likely stayed there to visit the beach and Mai Kai. The old original kitchen was a fun sight. A pure flashback to the 50s. They had great food and generous portions. Fun tiki bar on the beach also. Rooms lacked insulation and was noisy on a Saturday night but we loved it.

Our stay was less than pleasant. The first problem happened right when we were checking in. The man at the front desk said that he could not find our reservation and since we used hotels.com we had to call them and solve it ourselves. He was not helpful at all. After getting that issue sorted out we went to retrieve the luggage from our car. We asked the valet for a luggage cart because we had too many bags to carry and small children to handle and he said none were available. So we hauled everything ourselves. Once we got to our room the first thing we noticed was the very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Although there are many signs saying it is a non smoking property the smell of smoke persisted through out our stay and it seems as if they do not enforce that policy very strongly. We also noticed that the hallways/elevators/ and room were not cleaned properly. The whole place makes you feel like you need to bathe in hand sanitizer. Which they do not provide as many other hotels do during this pandemic. In our room one of the toilet seats had obvious urine stains which can confirm that house keeping is definitely not done thoroughly. All of the towels had hair on them. Even the fresh ones we requested from the front desk. On our second day we were awoken by the fire alarm at six in the morning only to be told it was a false alarm. The beach chairs and umbrellas are priced at $10 each for rental and were not complimentary as in other resorts.

“I payed for ocean front supposedly in Expedia” and when I entered the room I got partial view not at all ocean front! The guy on the front desk told me that with Expedia clients that is how it works you pay ocean front and you get partial view, that I had payed to little to have ocean front! He treated me like I couldn’t pay for more! Which I felt very offended, because you have not right to judge me how I spend my money, or if I can or not pay myself ocean front, Iam not and ignorant, is not the first time I book with Expedia, to be treated like that. To be honest the hotel is a 2 star hotel just ocean front, is a good hotel if you want to be next to the beach and spend many nights with the family but is not top quality!

Biased review as someone who did not pay for the room. Personally I would never pay to stay here again. I’m not sure if all these resorts along the beach are all in the same state but it was not the best stay. Upon arrival parking was horrible. Tiny driveway in and out, valet seemed to have no idea what was going on if they were even around. The front desk lady was stressed and showed it, not super friendly initially but warmed up. Room tv remote had no batteries, no pool towels that we could find at the pool or room, and the whole place pretty much reeked of weed.The rooms themselves were mediocre at best. All the repair work or updates looked like they were done by some handy man who just learned how to fix things.Ocean view and ocean entrance were nice, what you’d expect. There is a shop inside the resort but we never visited it. There’s a restaurant that was really good. They got my order wrong and kept bringing glass bottles of soda rather than fountain drinks but eh.Overall totally mediocre. Relative to others I can’t compare but not super impressed. Price might reflect visit, but again I never paid or looked into pricing.

Start with the reservation confirmation meaning nothing at check in, even by showing the actual e-mail. The rate charged was $32 higher. the room had half the amenities touted, and the noises were ridiculous throughout the 2 nights. My wife came home with a rash from an allergic reaction to the linens, that has never happened before, that required medical attention and a couple prescriptions. The most positive out of it all was a Fabulous onsite restaurant Calbris topped the chain for quality, outstandingly authentic Italian food and hospitality.

We arrived to an overbooked hotel and had to be put in a room that was not the view or the king bed we had reserved. Jacqueline was very apologetic and promised to make it up to us with an upgraded room for the remainder of our stay. The next day the front desk ladies Jacqueline and Vivian delivered as promised with a beautiful ocean front room. Mix ups happen, but it is wonderful to have the kind of service where the staff goes above and beyond to make it right.

My first room was disgusting. I was switched to a penthouse suite for the inconvenience but that was also terrible. No working tv, room was nearly empty. Oh but at first there was no tv in the room. The staff was really nice and very attentive but the rooms are horrible and need better up keeping

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Ocean Manor. The staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is terrific with the pool, views of the Ocean, the Tiki bar & cafe. The breakfasts are fantastic served from 7:00 until 11:00 and well priced. The rooms are just ok.. Clean yet deferred maintenance on the two rooms we stayed at. One bathroom didnt have any towel racks or hooks. The other bathroom sink was shaped to not allow for any place to put our stuff. Considering its a 3 star rated resort I give em some room. We were comfortable with the price we paid. Overall we did enjoy our stay.

Super comfortable rooms, beautiful decor, top-notch service and steps from Union Square. We traveled with our dog and it was fantastic to have the 3rd floor garden terrace just down the hall.

Not Covid friendly booking, our cruise was canceled. No refund or credit for future stay! This is the ONLY Hotel that has refused to work with us. We would have booked again for new date. Per your request, we contacted the Ocean Manor Beach Resort to attempt a cancelation on your reservation ASBZ6G7Y9. Despite our efforts, the hotel has decided to enforce the current policy and is not willing to refund. Do not book at this hotel.

Not the best rooms but everything else in the resort was well worth the stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The best part was the staff all around were very nice and helpful and friendly and hospitable. Thanks to Jose getting the towels all the time. And the best part was the Tiki Bar! On the beach!

Located on the beach. You cannot get any closer. Staff is scarce but friendly when found. The Tiki bar is nice. The food is good, however two separate meals had main items missing. We were not refunded or compensated. Outdoor pool is nice.

Great resort beautiful rooms. HR should do a better screening for front desk employees that are suppose to show hospitality and have respect towards guest. Called the front desk & explained the A/C was working he informed me that maintenance wasnt available. No problem explained that it was my special occasion he laughed and hung up. I dont get why everyone is complaining about this hotel? Im confused. We rented the Penthouse Suite and when we arrived we were told we have been upgraded to a bigger Pent House (SCORE)!!! Wow, our Penthouse was amazing. The Master Bedroom was so pretty and the shower and the jacuzzi was beautiful! The beds were so comfortable!Our Penthouse had a full kitchen, with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, sink, ETC. The view from our Penthouse to the Ocean was so beautiful. So if youre looking for a place to relax Ocean Manor Resort Hotel is the place to be.

Positive: Vallet was cheap, location on the beach and good customer service. Negative: The hotel is a older building and needs to be updated. The lounge chairs should be cleaned and the restaurant needs to be cleaned after every guest especially since we are in a pandemic.

Nice staff, tiki bar is fun to hang out at. Pool could be better but with covid they probably had to remove some chairs. Beach access is hands down the reason to book this place. Chair and umbrella rentals are ten dollars each. Your right on the water! Restaurants nearby are walkable but if your looking for something with a less than 15-20min walk there a Uber and Lyft a a plenty.

Walked in the room and they were repairing an electrical outlet. Came back to a dirty floor the balcony door is broken and the tv was unplugged..why because it wont come on. DO NOT stay here.

Was there for the 4th of july.. rafael the front desk manager is a beast.. food is amazing.. outside tiki bar awesome!! If you want a good time give rafael a call and he will hook you up.. they have beautiful penthouses as well!

Upon check in at 3:00, we were locked out of our room due to a man in a wheel chair hiding in our room, rolling a joint. When he finally opened the door for us, he acted like he was working there, and said everything is ready in here, and then left. We knew he wasnt maintenance so we called the front desk. They KNEW who he was immediately and said they would take care of it, and hung up. Very odd. It was taken care of since he left, and our room was check in ready. Building has permanent tenants, that are doing drugs and smoking a lot. Halls did smell like smoke, which came through vents. Cleaning people are not thorough in halls, elevators and walkways. The room was very clean however, and remodeled slightly. BED was excellent, really good mattress and bedding. The view was great, and the Tiki downstairs is excellent (both food and drink). They do allow public walk up from the beach, a downfall. Since the public trashes the area and beach with garbage, which had not been cleaned up by the next morning.

The pictures were totally different then what was actually at the hotel. The sheets were clean but the comforter had a stain on it and the room looked really old and was smelling weird. For the price they charge they should have upgraded the room. Also the A/C was not working as good we had to complain about that as well

We had bugs in the bed. Got several bites! They sent someone to spray right away. Place was always stinking of marijuana. Efficiency suite was conducive too saving money. Cooked own food. Cass calabria red snapper was delish. Some people who stay there are crazy.

I booked months in advance for a bachelorette party. When my wife get there they tell her she cant have more than 6 ppl in the suite ( the law is 10). The room has roaches I literally killed 4, it didnt have blinds or curtains(which they blamed on COVID19), the doors looked like they had been kicked open, and the cold water nob on the sink was broken we couldnt use it.Then they switch us into another room which has the TV on the couch waiting to be mounted. Then the next room had paint peeling from the ceiling and a couch that was leaning because the legs was broken. The next room was ok for the night it was just tough to open and close the door. Bybthe way every single room I was switched to had blinds and curtains.I give two stars because they gave my money back.

A lovely way to spend a pool and beach day combined. Hotel Room efficiencys are clean and somewhat modern. Front desk staff is super friendly. Polite, efficient, and unassuming deck staff will help you delight in the South Florida beach experience. Mail service & housekeeping available. There is a kid camp available weekdays outdoors by the pool & beach. Excellent delivery food in area. No coolers on pool deck, but the outdoor patio restaurant has many seafood, beef and bar tapas type options. The food is good and reasonably priced. Full bar and various beers. Good place to watch a sporting event or football game in Fall/Winter. Casual atmosphere. On the beach there arechair, umbrella and water sports rental available for small fees. $10 for chair $10 for umbrella in June 2019. The famous our gift from the sea (mysterious of origination) a large white wooden cross, has found a permanent home on the sand near the pool area wall. A must see! Its been there since February 1, 2018. Beautiful warm loving spirit abounds. Love it here ️️️

We spent a couple days here before our cruise ! Our room had a large balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean , tiki bar and pool ! Very clean and the staff were accommodating in every way. Their tiki bar restaurant had good food at reasonable prices including delicious breakfast omelets! Their pool was clean and very warm..not crowded with plenty of chairs and towels. Their beach was steps away and was clean with vendors always available to set up chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable price. Lauderdale by the sea is a short walk away and a must to see..plenty of shopping and excellent restaurants on the beach ! We would definately stay here again!

I spent 4 weeks here and was pleasantly satisfied with my stay.Although this is an older hotel my suite was bright and in good condition. The furniture was old but the bed was comfortable. The TV was not very good but I was not watching much so it did not bother me.All of the staff was friendly and helpful from front desk to restaurant to maintenance.Being on the beach I was able to take full advantage anytime of the day --the Tiki bar was also a plus.

Very nice hotel on the beach. The staff was polite and attentive, but they charge you everything. I had to take my medicine and asked for a cup of water and they charged me for a cup of tap cup! The beach chairs are $10 for the beach. Everything has a price. The pool area and bar closes at dusk. I came for a vacation not to be in bed by dusk. Smh we had to go to the outdoor bar at the hotel next door to have fun now that play was fun.

Positive: The reason we chose this hotel was because it was directly off of the beach/ocean, close to everything we wanted to do. Negative: Every day of our stay, housekeeping would come to collect trash and used towels, but NEVER made up our beds, NEVER replaced our used towels with new ones, and NEVER left new soaps. We would call down to ask for towels, and it would take hours.

Im not one to post reviews EVER but i just couldnt help myself when it came to this place. i WILL never stay here again. food was awesome but that was about it. Employees were rude and didnt mind their business and would make snotty comments about not having a mask for my daughter who is under two while outside. Valet was rude and smoking and very unprofessional. first room we had wasnt cleaned. had pads and mask in the drawers when we arrived. they have guest who live there, which is fine, but one guest in particular (who i guess lives at the hotel) was running around yelling and screaming at employees which made my whole group i was with very uncomfortable. said they had breakfast and all but when we woke up saturday morning for breakfast they didnt have it that day and failed to mention that to us the night before that they wouldnt have dinner that night or breakfast the next morning. just an overall terrible experience. I definitely do not recommend this place at all.

Dated building with dated rooms. Can hear every sound from the elevator to the person speaking in a normal voice down the hall. More like being in an old apartment building than a hotel. If being on the beach is worth it to you then this may be an acceptable trade-off, but otherwise I highly suggest finding another venue.

I booked a one-night stay here through hotel tonight app at about half price of the normal listing. That part was wonderful, but I was charged a $15 Resort fee as well as a $10 self parking fee which is the same amount it costs to valet.The hotel website says there is self parking but doesnt tell you that it cost an extra $10.Paying a lower rate I did not expect to get a great view of the ocean but the man at the front desk was very nice and very accommodating. The view I got was spectacular which if it wasnt for him and the view I would probably have rated this a 2-star.The shell of the room was nice the beds were nice, but the fixtures and everything seemed old and rundown. I feel like the shower was missing half of the glass door. There were holes in the entrance Door, and the towels were cheap towels. I was not even provided hand soap in the room. There was no alarm clock in the room and the phone in the room did not work. I also noticed that there was no option to call the lobby with zero or anything like that to request a wake up call.All in all, to call this a resort and charge an extra fee for it is a little absurd. When I think Resort I think pristine and this was not that. But I guess every where is calling themselves Resorts right now just to charge the fee.

I want a motel with decent beds for rest, not a water garden and swimming pools. Have to pay to park in their own lot. And seriously, a toilet leaking on the bathroom floor. Dont stay here.

This place was on tv and the owner frank still hasnt learned how to run a resort the right way he still has the same rude staff who lies and Mike the manager is still not taking care of the guest the right way and dont get me started on thevallet service what a joke

He knows the hotel inside out and was a superb resource, manager and administrator. Negative: We had a few minor challenges with the bathroom door and the hotel staff responded right away.

My Wife and I spent a couple days there on a recommendation from a friend.We had heard they were Dog Friendly so my wife wanted our Miniature Chihuahua to join us.We were pleasantly surprised the Hotel was very nice the room was beautiful and had a great view of the ocean!We went to the Italian restaurant on property Casa Calabria and being from New York I know a little about Italian food and I have to say it was excellent so much so we went back the second night so we could try something else!Overall we had a great stay and the staff from check in to the Tiki Hut and beyond were exceptional!We will be staying there again!

I cant believe I have to write this.........I booked a room for 3 nights (Saturday - Tuesday) because I had an outpatient procedure Monday morning and didnt want to Uber home (kind of a long drive). Saturday and Sunday nights were ok, noisy hallways and yes the elevator dinging all hours of the night was annoying. The bottom of the pool was covered in sand but you can expect that for being on the beach. But then Monday night someone checked in next door to my room and started partying. No biggie. Waited until around 11:00 and decided to at least give the front desk a ring. No answer. Waited 5 minutes and called again. No answer. Walked down to the lobby and there was NO front desk person working. Front desk closed. I walked out to the valet and asked him and he said nobody was working after a certain hour. I told him the second floor was getting out of control (by this time they were running up and down the hallways screaming with laughter and Im talking adults) and he told me the only thing I could do was called the police. So, no front desk and no security. 2 am I packed my stuff and left. Stay away unless you are just going for the day.
