A beautiful and wild place to see. Book your tour online ahead of time. If you are an English only speaker, know that there is usually only one tour a day in English, so plan in advance. The tour is about 2.5 hours long, most of which you are riding a tram. Sit near the front so you can hear the tour guide better. You walk through a mangrove area around a lake, then stop at a beautiful rocky beach, and finally stop at the lighthouse. The views from the top are amazing! You can see many of the nearby islands (Icacos, Palomino), and on a clear days see as far as the Virgin Islands!Bring a bottle of water and sun protection. If you have a camera with a good long range lens, I imagine you could get some amazing photos from near the lighthouse.

Its truly beautiful but basically if you want to enter the park, you can only do so on a tour which is a total pain and needs booking in advance. Instead, we walked along the coastline and got to experience the stunning beaches without any reservations and for free! Found the most stunning, giant conch shells, fish and white sands, hidden coves and sunbathing spots. Only saw 2 people in 4 hours, and it was entirely rubbish free. Hard to find a decent spot to swim though, ocean ground is rocky and covered in slippery creepy seaweed.

Great and awesome tour and experience. Francisco is a great tour guide. Youll enjoy it a lot if you have the chance to have him assigned. Everyone should come here. Call and make your reservation today.

Third time coming to this beach. Its a must stop every time we go to PR. The atmosphere is always fun and the waters are super calm. Combined with the shady trees lining up the shore and this turns into the perfect beach spot.

Permanently closed until “at least September 2020,” per the guard. You can’t even go onsite to look around. The light house lost its roof and they’re trying to repair it.The low rating is because they don’t answer their phones and their website is useless and it provides no information as to the site’s closure and re-opening.

Be careful of this one, beaches, biting gnats and Godfather-assassin mosquitoes will transmit dengue fever in your behind before you can scream How do Ye do? But its the bomb of the two, believe you me. Theres a late night red glowing lamp that alerts you on its entrance, Know Thyself

Its a very beautiful location. We volunteered there, which was a lot of fun. We got to plant some trees and learn some new things and tended to some baby plants in the nursery. The volunteer coordinators were both great guys. They were very friendly and gave us a recommendations for the rest of our trip.

This has bee. My goto beach for years! The water is calm and most day it is cristal clear. The views of the mountains are beautiful. The beach itself seems to have been eroded after the hurricane but it is still great. Get there early as it has gotten popular in the last few years. The further down you walk the more secluded it is. Enjoy!

I was not impressed with the tour. We were packed in trollys like sardines. Kids under like 5 were free but had to sit on an adults lap. With space already a minimum it was just hot and crowded. Plus I could not see any bioluminescence using the sticks.

This is one of many areas operated by this non-profit organization. Day tours fill up fast so make a reservation a few days ahead. We took the night tour which includes the lighthouse, the boardwalk out to the bio luminescent bay and a short 50 foot hike thru the woods to the sand beach to see the copepods, a microscopic animal that twinkles when disturbed. The tour was guided in English and also included a short slide show at the lighthouse. All this was in the dark and way out of my comfort range. However, it was terrific and I would definitely recommend it and go again. Very helpful and nice people, clean restrooms and a small book/visitor center round out your visit.

This is one of my favorite places in all Puerto Rico. In the natural reserve, you can see different ecosystems and how they work. You get to see the bioluminicent lake and once you get inside the lighthouse, they teach you about the different animals (including the bioluminicent one). You have to make a reservation and pay but it is completly worth it. Amazing place!

Another excellent tour run by Para La Naturaleza. Explore 4 ecosystems in one location! You will learn about mangroves, and see one of the rare rocky beaches in all of PR. The lighthouse view is unsurpassed, and on a clear day you can see sailboats scudding along in the crystal clear waters surrounding the outlying islands of Palominito and Icacos. Reserve your tour ahead of time and please, hold the sea cucumber.

This guided tour nature reserve is a must visit but make sure you make reservation ahead of time. The tour guide is great offering wonderful insight to the history and natural habit of the area. The boardwalk is wonderful and the coral reef beach and light house is wonderful. My only regret was my camera ran out of battery and I didnt carry my spare. It was too bad especially when I ran out of battery when we get to the most scenic and picturesque part of the tour, the light house on top of the hill. Oh well, next time I will make sure to come with a full charge. We didnt do the night Laguna Grande bioluminescence lake tour but our guide show us in a dark room sample of bioluminescence water which was quite an experience to itself.
