I used to live in Fair Oaks during the early 80s, and I used to bring my children to Plaza Park. They were alternatively fascinated and frightened by the chickens who roam freely around the park. But today, I was with my niece and her one year old son, who was equally entranced and a little scared of the chickens, just as my children were.I had to smile as I watched my grand nephew stare at the chickens wandering around the park. I loved seeing him studying them intently. It was like he was trying to figure out what those two legged, feathery creatures were. It was a sunny, but cool day in the Sacramento, but even though I didnt bring a jacket with me, I was warmed by the sight of my great nephew watching and pointing at the chickens with the other enthralled children. So happy that the park and chickens are still a wonderful part of Fair Oaks!

So much to explore there. It was so fun and yall should go and check this little town out, its full of historic things to feed the brain. Also try old town pizza right underneath the old town bar and grill.....
