Beautiful and clean beach, dont know why I saw that it was dirty, didnt find one piece of garbage or plastic. I came in October, maybe came across 3 people and walked over half the beach. Water and a super clean too. Well worth going especially if you have a .

Pretty much quite nowadays since building being abandoned due to no visitors but tons of people coming to swim hike or fun stuff. Still recommended to go there. I do once or twice a week.

Its pretty. Not many places to set up and have a grill out. The beach was cool. A little crowded and as expected it was congested with traffic and some trash (obviously not the parks fault people dont clean up after themselves). Overall a nice afternoon!!

BEAUTIFUL stretch of beach! Gorgeous sand, a beach house, and right next to a small airport where you can watch small aircraft take off and land. Bring sunscreen, a beach umbrella, pack a cooler with food and beverages (no glass and please pick up after yourselves!) and you can stay and swim all day. ️️

This is one of my favorite locations to visit, not only in the Duluth area but in general. The sprawling beach stretches out in all directions as the lake crashes on the shore (or the ice, depending on the time of year!).Scenic, natural, and filled with opportunities to learn and explore, this park is definitely worth a visit if you are in town and arguably worth the trip if you are not.

It was very crowded that day in late August. This time I would give it 2. The beach house was closed and the water was gross. Weve been dozens of times before and sometimes its worthy of 4 stars. This time though people were crowding us and our stuff. I felt I had to watch out stuff because some young adults kept hanging sound it. They were acting suspicious.

An absolutely beautiful beach on Lake Superior. Apparently lots of drift wood comes up on shore, definitely check out the structures of them (maybe even contribute to them). Honestly feels like an ocean Beach up north. Water was chilly as always and even on a Wednesday afternoon, there were a lot of people. Definitely worth a trip to it though

The Garbage bins at the entrance to the walkways were FULL and STINKYWould I go again ? YesWould I do anything differently ? Yes Find some markings to keep people at a distance.

Not too busy for early June. Trail that starts at the beginning of the air strip is well maintained and goes through a thin strip of old growth forest - with a 20 min walk to the remnants of an old lighthouse, gated off now for safety =( . Beach walk was nice too but apparently it used to not have sharp dropoffs but there was a recent storm that washed out the sloping edges.

Its a nice walk, rain or shine. We walked in the rain recently. Still liked it.If youre new to this trail like we were, go to the Sky Harbor building for the trailhead, left corner of the building as you face it, this road eventually takes you to the easier, hard pack trail, and eventually through the forest (maybe youll see a plane take off or land in the bay).We started on trails next to the beach. Nice, but an extra workout youll have walking in the sand. But it was nice to hear the waves coming in.Walking through this forest is peaceful, you may encounter some shallow wet spots. Keep an eye out for transformer boxes, signs of cabins being here in the past, and other items related to housing. One could bring a snack and a drink, it was helpful for me.
