Its beautiful! It would be nice if the far side of the inlet could be set up with buoys and a bunch of sand to create a small little swimming hole there. I suppose that wouldnt work with the boats coming in to dock though. Just an idea.
Very nice! 4 launching ramps so youre not sitting there waiting on the guy that dont know what hes doing. Nice sea wall built around it keeps you out of the waves and weather for smooth landing.
Wonderful quick stop on our weekend adventure! Walk the whole place in half hour or so, beautiful views. Definitely a must stop
A good stop to spend couple of minutes, not directly accessible unless you take underpass from the other side of the road. We noticed many people going for ice fishing on the lake. One of the pathway over there was broken as well, we didn’t underpass the whole purpose of this harbor, but enjoyed clicking few pics
I love it here! So clean and peaceful with beautiful sceneries. The lake is so clear, something Ive always wanted to see. Reminded me of the ocean. Nice fishing areas, little shelter available, beautiful boat loading dock and great place to take pictures.
Nice little picnic location on the lake. Use the small right car park and take the walkway under Scenic Drive.
Nice place to just go and watch the waves. Gets chilly even during Fall so gotta be prepared.
This is a hidden gem! We were looking for a place to picnic on the shore, and this harbor showed up. We took a walk onto the breakwater and had a lovely time just watching the boats and Lake Superior.
Great view of Duluth and Lake Superior. Parking is on the inland side of the road with a pedestrian path under the main road or a tunnel fir vehicles headed to the boat launch. There is also a small beach area for those with SUP boards or kayaks.
This is always a great stop while going up the shore. Stop at an eatery and bring it here. Relax.
Another nearly hidden gem on the gorgeous North shore of Lake Superior.
Beautiful small harbor with nice walking trails. Parking on west side of road, and then tunnel walk under to harbor.
Nice ramp, parking is a bit of a walk and there arent any bathrooms in parking lot - I think theyre closed because of the Rona like everything else...
A remarkably clean and convenient for anyone want to have boat access to Lake Superior. Its also enjoyable to walk around and see the highlights.
Such a quite peaceful place. So lovely
Beautiful area. Quiet. Not a huge crowd of people.
Easy access and very nice views.
McQuade is a great little Harbor. Plenty of parking and decent sized docks.
Nice landing. Nice place to stop
Neat place to check out..you actually walk under the highway to otherside
Clear blue sky starts exactly above clear blue Lake water... but difficult to distinguish between the two
Nice clean boat launch, well kept up.
Beautiful views and nice little walking area right to the lake
Nice vantage stopped had a couple drinks admired the sunrise for a couple hours
Very nice and convenient lake access to Superior. There is a short walk from the parking location to the landing.
There was some trash that could have been picked up (I didnt have anything with to put it in -no pocket either), but beautiful area
We fished here no fish but the guy near us got around a 3 lbs northern pike
A short walk and a beautiful view.
Not the best spot on the north shore to visit but some one went threw alot of effort to make it a nice place.
Maybe the best launch facility in the Midwest. The harbor is completely protected from wind and waves. Four ramps plus ample rigging areas are paved and accessable from a roomy parking area (also paved) via a tunnel under highway 61.The convenience facilities are clean and well lighted and the grounds are groomed to match.
Nice place to park and enjoy the lake
Its a boat launch. Some rocks thats about it
I adore this place in all seasons. Its a great place to take in Lake Superior in all of her moods. Great place to take in winter storms.
Gorgeous but generally littered with driftwood and damage from storms. Wish it was built better and better taken care of but thats what you get when dealing with Lake Superior...shes a mighty force to be reckoned with.
If the fish are biting North of Duluth and south of Two Harbors, this is your landing.
Boat launch and RV parking, great view of the lake. Decent restrooms when in season, not sure when starts/ends.
Not busy, clean and plenty of space to fish
Awesome harbor to launch onto Lake Superior. Facilities are nice and its got plenty of room to keep traffic flowing.
Really nice place to launch a boat
Cold food n over priced
Great launch.
Beautiful boat landing recently re done. Lost of parking and a great rock break wall to ease launching.
A great place to fish in the spring and fall.
Great place to stop for a picnic. Great views of the lake. Walkways were still broken up from a tough winter when we were there.
Plenty of parking nice place
Great launch. 4 spots to launch, two big docks at the launch and a couple transient docks. Plenty of parking and nice location near Duluth.
Beautiful place to visit.
Nice beautiful view
Beautiful spot to stop and take a quick look.
Beautiful, clean, serene.
Absolutely beautiful views
Good place to get out and stretch your legs or put your boat in.
Nice walk
Gorgeous!
Great restroom facilities. Good boat ramp. Good docks. Very nice safe harbor. NO SERVICES
Nice place to launch from, nice restrooms too. Baby changing table in the womens restroom is at chest height for a 56 woman though. Why??
Cute place to sit and just relax. Had bathrooms and picnic tables.
Great for pics and to put a boat in
Great place to get down by lake superior w kids
Fun area to put your boat in the water on the big Lake Superior. Lots of room to park.
Fishing was terrible. Still a great place to stop.
Seems like a nice little harbor. Easy access
Very nice wayside stop on the lake.
Very nice place to get out on the water or cast a pole or just inju the view.
Went to fish, didnt catch anything, but pretty nice place
Love it
Great harbor.
Rest area just after crossing Duluth with beautiful views of lake superior. You can easily spend an hour here. There are benches to sit and relax on the shore line.
The best in the area.
Great launch site! Ample trailer parking. However the portable toilets by the docks could be serviced more frequently
Very nice boat launch and facility
10 out of 5 Delightful Place
Please park in the parking lot not in the boat launch emergency helicopter landing pad area. There are signs everywhere thats a no parking, I know most people cant read a sign anymore!
Very fun place! You can walk down to a beach and out on the breakwater. There are nice bathroom facilities.
Best access on the north shore. Can get crowded though.
Great investment for the people of Minnesota.
We visited here, took a nice walk in the area.
Allows a lot of small boat access without the need to run 15 miles.
Nice place to visit. Great to sit and watch the lake. Maybe have a picnic.
Its a place..There is a cool tunnel under Hwy 61 to access the harbor. There is a pavilion with a picnic table. Everything is paved with no stairs so it is easily accessible.
We love this place! Quiet, lesser used than other spots near the water!
We visit almost every time we are in the area.
Cool place. Tunnel to the lake under the highway, small pavilion, restrooms, and boat launch. Well kept and Minnesota beautiful
Great boat landing
Great place to watch the waves crash into the rocks.
It was ok, the path was destroyed by the flooded waters.
Nice place to stop on The North Shore!
The bathrooms smell like cedar.
Great views of the lake. A great place to launch boats.
