Love the lake walk. Can site here for hours and just watch the boats or just listen to the waves crash. It’s the way to live. I can see why it’s a tourist place to go.

One of my favorite places to come when we come to Duluth. Love to see the ships and enjoy looking in the shops.

I do know that there is a public bathroom inside the Maritime museum. The parking area at canal Park to start the boardwalk adventure is still temporarily closed. but there is parking down the block behind Grandmas saloon at the public parking spaces near the hotels it isnt very far of a walk. This whole area has a lot of scenery and shops and eateries. Dont miss out come and enjoy!

Whether you decide to walk or ride bike, this is a beautiful way to see some of the lake shore, gardens, parks, and the patio areas for some of the restaurants along the way. Lots of places to stop, rest, and take in the beauty of Gods creation.

I just love this place. Every year my husband and I go to the Lakewalk and its always spectacular. I highly recommend stopping by.

One of Duluths best places to see if you are from out-of-town, one of the best places to come relax, take a walk, have a picnic or just some peace and meditation! The Lakewalk is beautiful all year long, with the summer sun beating down on the waves or the late winter winds making waves and the ice breaking up on the lake, its always my favorite place to go!

Busy but good place to walk and see ships come in

What a neat little area, we enjoyed the water front very much and after walked through all the little shops and can’t forget the chocolate factory! The only down side was that the temperature was about ten degrees and the whole area was packed with people. We also got to watch the lift bridge go up and a ship come in. All in all good experience and would totally recommend

Beautiful walking trail. My only complaint is that as there are no lights. Qe for back to our vehicle after dark, being from out of town its a bit scary walking the Lakewalk in the darkness.

Its under construction right now but still beautiful. And it was a beautiful day yesterday.

Great lakewalk that goes through all the best places in Duluth! The photos attached are from the part of the lakewalk right in front of the Portland Malt Shoppe (another great stop) right near Leif Erickson park and the Rose Garden too! We got malts and listened to Andy Austin play the guitar while looking out at beautiful Lake Superior. Great locations for tourists and locals alike!

I am pretty sure I’m not the first one to rate this place a 5 star. If Duluth is a amazing town, this place is an icing on the cake. You could enjoy different sorts of activities near the lake walk, and if you want to enjoy some peaceful time, you could have it here.The walk connects to the lighthouse, and the views here are simply amazing.This definitely is a great place to enjoy a romantic walk.

Simply a scenic area along Duluths Lake Superior coast. Great for walking, hiking, skateboarding, cycling, dogs and more! Having been severely damaged in a 2017 storm, The Lakewalk has been under heavy reconstruction; however, the portions that are open already look terrific. Located directly next to several locally owned businesses, The Lakewalk is greaat for Duluth locals and tourists alike. I ride through here often on my bike!~

Good place to spend some time and good lake view

This is THE place to be for summer vacation!! With a couple of hotels a stones throw from the beach itself, who needs a swimming pool when you have the largest fresh water lake in the US outside of your window??

Beautiful! Took our bikes to Duluth to ride the trail along the lake. Just wish they had a few signs showing how to get around the washouts. Can’t wait to come back and try some other area trails.

Good place to relax and see a great lake vessels come in or out from the port of Duluth under the Aeriel Lift Bridge.

Love watching the ships come in. We spent 3 hours there and got to watch 2ships come in and 1 go out the kids love seeing the crews on the ships waving

Walking the Lakewalk in Duluth is something that every visitor should do, most likely becoming something they do on all their future visits to Duluth. The last few years there have been 2-3 winter storms that have caused significant damage to the Lakewalk, (especially the Canal Park end of the walk). The city has a plan to strengthen and remodel the walk. Let’s hope that plan succeeds and Lake Superior allows the new walk to survive.

I visit every year with my family and am never disappointed. I only hope that this place will always remain accessible to the middle class.

Nice visit. Did encounter a group of 5-6 young people and dogs sitting in front of a store just past Caribou asking for money. Not ideal but they were not persistent. Very nice walk on the pier out to the light house. Stopped at a small shop on the boardwalk and got cheese curds and a Bloody Mary from a nice, friendly young man.

The laik walk was fun

Love to watch the ships coming in. I can stay in my car away from the crowd and still watch the waves roll in, the boats sailing on the lake, the birds playing, and enjoy the fresh air. The only downside is it is extremely crowded most days.

The Lakewalk is in the process of getting reengineered and rebuilt. And since this is northern Minnesota, they are working like crazy to finish before winter weather. The walk is open but surrounded by frenzied construction.

It used to be the best walking place in Duluth. The storm damage has really messed it up but it still is a great place to be. We are hoping the area around City Park will be fixed soon.

Parking is a chore. But theres pay for parking close by for not too much.

Beautiful place to walk, run, bike, or skate. However, due to a recent storm the lakewalk is still under construction in one part towards the very beginning. Great place to view the lake!

Its being redone a bit in 2019, but its a beautiful walk and a nice view the whole way with some good spots to stop for food or drink along it.

Cold for most of the year! Such amazing views but it costs a cold breeze. Two or three months however it is beautiful because the breeze cools you under the hot sun! Watch out for the homeless people. The lake walk is occasionally broken up from strong storms. Great for running and walking dogs. Get ice cream from Portland malt shop!

Was kind of cold, better earlier in the year

Despite the damage they suffered during the storm, its still a great place to walk. Unfortunately for rollerbladers I do not think theyre going to be restoring the lakewalk so that you can rollerblade on it.

Very pretty, though rainy on the day we went. The museum nearby is free! Food in the area is very $$$ though.
