Kinda hood but I liked it beautiful veiw
I would have never guessed a park was nestled in this part of town. Beautiful but in need of some TLC. Love the view.
While there are definitely better parks in other areas of the city, this was the best Id seen downtown. Theres a playground and plenty of room to play and a gazebo overlooking the park offering a great view of the harbor; however, there are no bathrooms and not much to do. Another review mentioned grilling here, but I did not find any grills. It is dog friendly on leash though. If youre children are older, I might suggest basketball or field sports at Hillside Sport Court Park about 5 blocks east.
Awesome place to chill n see water peace of mind
Beautiful park, especially at night.
Its big and has a huge pavilion on top. great views of the lake, harbor and city. Usually very quiet. Has lots of ways to walk there. Big beautiful trees. Great for bringing your dogs. Great for picnics. Has garbage can, picnic table, benches, kids playground, lots of grassy space for laying in the grass, doggie baggies for poo. Wish it had a water fountain.
Too bad it has fallen apart. The historical pictures of it were amazing. Be nice if they ever tried to bring it back.
Amazing view
It needs to be cleaned up
Lowkey park in the heart of downtown. This is weekly stop for my son and I, it has a great area for grilling and chilling
Post card beautiful! This is where all the tourist come to see.
The kids loved thats what counts has change alot sense Ive played there
It is suprisingly clean. No where to go too the bathroom but you know we cant have nice things without vandalism and destruction. My favorit part is that my 3 year old who is small for her age can climv all the steps and get too all of the slides. A set of stairs from the sliding area to the swings would be nice. Or some kind if walkway. Great park great view
Great time with my Jesse and my boys..
Great view of Superior.
The grass is long and needs to be mowed. It would really be nice to have an outhouse at the park. People need to have a place to use the bathroom. Especially when they have little kids that they take to the park to play. Its frustrating to have to leave and come back after finding another place to use the bathroom.
Nice to have a park in the middle of the city. There was tons of room to play. There are grills for barbecuing. There are a couple pavilions for shade or shelter from rain. Did I mention the awesome view of Lake Superior harbor!
Nice quiet off the path for my kids to play. Dont know if I would take them after dark but that is no different than any other city park
Its a pretty place!!
Nice secluded picnic areas.
Dog and people friendly
An emerald gem overlooking Superior Bay and the Twin Ports Harbor, this may be one of Duluths sweetest surprises. From the N 1st Ave West intersection with W 5th St, a wide and welcoming double stairway is flanked by colorful, family-friendly murals depicting all the delights the City has to offer. As one approaches, Cascade Parks most unusual feature rises above the sweeping lawns: the turret of a castle befitting the view seen from standing on the flat, circular platform behind the rounded enclosure. From each side of this towering wonder, 4 ft high walls extend on each side to prevent accidental falls onto the lush shrubbery and lumpy grass covering the massive roots of the grand trees that formed the foundation of the rolling, terraced terrain.Dog bags are provided above the waste can near the picnic area, where two wooden bench-and-tables, and two standing hibatchi grills are provided near the soft sandy playground level and the swings one short sliding hill below. Theres even some pavement for hopscotch or jumprope, and paved paths for bike-riding.If something more peaceful is on your agenda, there are wooden benches along the paths that over look the sparkling lake- your choice, sun or shade. There are shallow steps at intervals in the center path leading up to the picnic/playground area, but a longer path (all are paved) winds gently to the bird-watching area in the west end and switches back toward the playground, passing a lovely fruit tree surrounded by a low round garden. This continues to the single bit of sloping roadway, making the park accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and little red wagons.Even those of us whose joints have seen stronger days can enjoy the pace this quiet, natural paradise offers, four blocks up from the city bustle and the harbors horns.
Nice park with small playground and lots of grassy area with a gazebo at the top . Not fenced. Parking is adequate.
Fabulous! Cant wait to finish the trails
Cascade Park is one of Duluths historical parks with a rich past. The park offers beautiful views of Lake Superior and Canal Park. Its a great place to catch the fireworks on 4th of July! Cascacde park has a nice little playground and ample lawn, a perfect place for a midsummer picnic. Ive also seen many a folk playing Pokémon Go!
Great view of the skyline. The park itself was small
Nice calm place to bring your dogs for a walk
Nice views,
Pretty good views of the city, but to be honest, Enger Park really takes the cake. Cascade Park is an alright compromise
Pretty and historical. Oldest park in Duluth, but despite attempts at the city at upkeep often times there is damaged items and broken glass due to the area it is in.
