Best place to be all year around. Can’t go wrong living here. I now live in the center of canal park. I have a big photography moment of living here. Never lived in the city before. Didn’t think I was going to love it thought it would be to much. But I truly love it and don’t regret it.

The Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge was built from 1901-1905 and its style is significantly rare im Bridge engineering. You can see this beautiful structure from all around the water ways of Duluth. We were lucky enough to get a hotel room with a view of it and saw it from many different angles during the day.Unfortunately we were on a schedule and were not able to see a ship come through.Make sure you check it out when you’re in Duluth.

All time favorite to escape from the cities and heat in summer time. Sometimes the water is warm enough to get in, and that is a treat. Always enjoy watching the bridge get lifted up and big boats and huge ships going through the canal. As of July 2020 when we were there, the Lakewalk along the Lake Superior shore from Canal Park Park toward Leif Erickson Rose Garden is under construction and closed.

This is such a cool place to see. My Uber was super kind and took me around to see the bridge from different spots. Very cool! My hotel was very close to it and I walked around the lake. Such beautiful views and so peaceful. I’m told the lake is so much beautiful during summer time. I enjoyed it even during winter time.

This iconic place in Duluth is a really good place to visit in canal park. This is a good photography spot so get your cameras or phones out (might want to go to the north path along the canal to get the best pic’s.) You can walk on top of the bridge from Canal Park Drive, and go on top of the bridge from the south path along the canal. When your on top of the bridge you will take in marvelous views of the harbor, canal, or Lake Superior. This landmark is always gonna have a place to stick in my mind.

This iconic bridge is a typically one of the first things I think of when I think of Duluth. It is an awesome looking bridge and you can walk under it too. When it does lift up it tends to be very quick to go back down so it doesnt really slow traffic to the island down very much.

Duluth is a very cool city with plenty of fun things to do, and coming to the pier is one of them. Yes, this place is selfie-central and a bit of a tourist trap, but its still very cool watching the ships come in and the bridge being lifted.Bottom line, if youve never been to Duluth before and youre planning on a day trip here, the pier/left bridge should definitely be on your list of things to do.

This is an awesome attraction with zero cost! I would highly recommend you going to Harbor Watch on your cell phone to get updates of days and times that the ships come through this harbor!! This will allow you to plan your other activities around these times! There is also a narrative going on closer to the maritime center(closer to the aerial lift bridge) which provides you with a ton of information about each of the boats coming through! Therefore I would strongly recommend you standing on the walking path closer to the bridge so that you are able to hear this very informative narrative over the loud speakers!
