We absolutely love catching movies here! The nostalgic experience is the best way to watch older movies! Getting to see Empire Strikes Back and Jaws on the big screen was a great time! Snacks and drinks available as well as a multitude of photo opps thanks to the decor. highly recommend The West!

Beautiful place with a vintage look and feel. Definitely something we need more of in this town. The place outside draws in people, and inside has the beautiful blue room. I like that there are movies as well as on stage performances, a nice change from the standard corporate movie theater style.

A-MAZING! New favorite date venue! The theater has a very classic feel and elegant interior. It’s like stepping back into time. Historic details at every corner. The quality of the movies shot on film far surpasses anything from today. The staff are equally as inviting! An absolute must experience for yourself!

Beautiful theatre. Cant say I love the choice of shower curtains rather than bathroom stall doors but other than that, this place is great. Making great accommodations for COVID as well.

I really enjoyed my experience here. Workers and owner were friendly. They were having a technical difficulty when we arrived but asked us to wait which we did and once it was repaired they gave everyone free pop corn. Only thing was there seed to be a ventilator that was rattling which was slightly distracting . Will definitely go again.

The West Theatre is amazing! The beautiful renovation added an extra charm to our movie date night. The careful attention to detail in every corner delights me deeply and I love to feel as if Ive slipped into another time. Ive never left a public review on Google before but my experience demands telling all I can about this place! The prices, beer selection and staff were excellent as well.

What a wonderful place! Thanks to all who worked on this project to restore a theater where I watched movies with my mom, my aunt, and several high school heartthrobs. Support this venue by taking in a show or a movie. Great eats and drinks and a fine screen and great sound make the West the perfect place to head on a cold winters night. Go West Duluth! (No Spirit Valley for this old Hunter!)

Place looks amazing! Great sound quality and picture. Affordable prices. Seats are comfortable, however, I am subtracting one star because the seats lean too far back that the person in front of me kept bumping my knees with their seat. And I dont have the best of knees. Overall, Id recommend attending this establishment.

Amazing restoration of an Art Deco jewel.Far away the most enjoyable place to watch a movie in the twin ports. Staff is superb, food and drink and drink excellent.

Spacious seats, very clean. Restroom was immaculate. Tastefully decorated. Prices are decent. Staff was very friendly. The concessions could use a little more variety but thats not a huge deal. Ill gladly go there over the big chain theaters anytime.

The best movie theater experience I have ever had. Clean, beautiful, historic and seats were more comfortable than most other theaters. Being able to grab a beer and some grub to bring in is a plus too!

What a treat to have in West Duluth. The theater itself is beautiful inside and out. It would be nice to eventually see its listings found on larger sites/apps like Fandango, etc., but thats something that can come later. Bob Boone did a great job putting the space together. Its something the neighborhood can be proud of. FYI: cash only as of 7/7/19.

Great Experience! Loved the beautiful decor. Nice seats, friendly staff, clean bathrooms. They just opened so they are still working on a few things, like no credit cards yet - cash only, but definitely worth it. In the world of big chain theaters, it was really neat to patronize a small, local place who really values their customers.

Hands down best place north of the Metro to see a film. Theres an actual Box Office, actual caring staff and an actual owner that has greeted me each time (It Chapter II and Joker). Their old school, seasoned popcorn machine is worth a taste--movie or not. Not a bad seat in the house, and theyre comfy.

Great retro theatre that has upgraded comfortable roomy seats. Place where you feel like the customer comes first.

This theater has been lovingly restored as well as improved with all new modern screen, seating, restrooms, sound and lighting while keeping the original concession counter, popcorn machine and even a display of an early film projector. The screening of the Lion King was a pleasure this week, from the $3 popcorn to standing outside to get that ticket to the screening we felt like we stepped back in time.Awesome experience. Duluth needs to get behind this new old venue to support this neighborhood theater.The New West is a Five Star in my book.

Have never made a review before but my wife and I were so pleased with our experience here and the vibe of the entire place I had to leave one. The West makes you simply feel fancy and makes going to a movie seem like it does.. well.. in the movies!

A beautifully restored 1937 art deco theater! Handicapped accessible, hearing assisted devices, a huge screen, seating for nearly 250 people, and two lounges! Oh, and they have local craft beer!

I was impressed with the remodeled theatre. In Minnesota fashion the theatre uses purple highlights to augment the inner sanctum. Well done, with a balcony, as well!
