Very cool concert hall. Not your traditional box but more of a theater in the round. You can get $20 symphony tickets in the dress circle behind the percussion section, which is a great place to watch especially piano concertos and see the conductor. And the sound is still good there. Not really a bad seat in the house. And the Colorado Symphony and Chorus are both quite good!

I really like Boettcher! Theater in the round settings are rare, and this one is a perfect size; not too big or small. I sat in the upper rings for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised by those seats. You have a very different, birds eye view of the stage and it makes you feel like youre in the concert scene from home alone 2. Pretty cool!

I had a fantastic time here last night. I saw Hanson with the orchestra and it was truly magical. I bought cheap tickets and I will post pictures if the hall will allow it. This was my first experience here and I brought two 16 year olds and one 4 year old. Every seat would be a good seat in this hall. The employees were super nice and friendly. Drinks were a bit pricey but that is always expected at all events. Great job everyone who worked last night and who played.

Beautiful auditorium and sound, great conductor, and amazing symphony. My only comment against a 5-star rating is the seats are not comfortable enough to sit through a movie, especially if you suffer of back or tail bone injuries. Otherwise, I love going and listening to this group perform every time!

Performing Arts excellence at its finest. Welcome to Denvers Boettcher Concert Hall. Perhaps a prime example of Denvers vast and ever changing venue scene. With accommodations large and small, this venue most certainly reserves the right to boast its stellar facilities, that represent modern theatre experiences, that remain consistent in furthermore enhancing the already impressive Denver large scale venue space. Home of the Colorado Symphony, & residency of the Colorado Childrens Chorale, youre sure to find an event to keep you intrigued. With the adjoining, Buell Theater, that hosts various Broadway Shows throughout the performing season, its a sight to see what this district offers. This is what exceptional standards look like.

The Boettcher Concert Hall is a beautiful facility with great acoustics. Its built to place the orchestra in the round, i.e., with the audience spread 360 degrees around. Though there were a lot gray-haired heads in the audience, younger folks might be surprised at how much they enjoy the virtuoso musicianship of the Denver Symphony in such a facility. Im not sure theres a bad seat in the house.

A beautiful eclectic concert venue interior, with a rich history for those of us that grew up here. However the non-traditional arcs and curves of the seating can block views from upper levels and from overhead lights in the uppermost balcony. Still a very good time, the only main critique is to have better labels on the seating sections and rows

Very nice and intimate concert hall with very good sight lines and A-/B+ acoustics. The seats are high-back and comfortable. Depending on where youre seated, you should be able to see at least 80 percent of the stage.one of the things I like to watch are the musicians and how they react to what they are playing. We watched someone in the viola section who completely and thoroughly enjoyed sharing his talent and it showed.Note: The audience sits around the stage.

You wont be disappointed. The concert hall has great acoustics, and it is fairly easy to get to your seats. Bathrooms in the second floor will have shorter lines, so keep that in mind. Also, arrive 45 minutes early to insure that youll be able to park in the closest parking garage.

Has the potential to be a cool space, but I didn’t really like it that much. I went and saw Pirates of Penzance there and the “stage” was too small and I felt like the seats were just... kind of in the wrong location. Also, the ceiling is COVERED in glass plates and sound/lights equipment and it kind of destroys the elegance of the space. Compared to other venues, I would much rather see a show at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

The venue is very pretty, seems like most seats are great. The hall itself has fantastic sound, and the ceiling is so fun! The stage is round with seating all around, I really like that.Im giving it 3 stars because the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when we were there. There was an employee (older female) who was legit scolding another employee, right in front of myself and my kids, it was SO awkward. And when the employee getting scolded basically apologized the lady berating her just kept going. Totally took me out of the mood but once we were seated and the performance started all was good again

Recently saw the Nightmare Before Christmas live movie in concert here and had a ball! Beautiful location with tons of options for drinks. Pricey cocktails. I think right around $7 for a beer and my cocktail was $14, but I expected it. No food allowed inside. Only con is there arent cup holders and if youre seated near a railing you cannot place your drink down on the railing area. Weird, but understandable.

First time coming to Boettcher Hall and I had a good experience. It was an easy process getting in and there was good signage and staff to direct me to my seat. The seat was comfortable and from what I could tell, all seats were well situated to get at least a decent view of the stage. I was there for the Colorado Symphony and they sounded great in the space, although a couple instruments I thought could have been a bit louder, not sure if that was microphone issues or just the way the piece was supposed to sound. Had a lovely evening and would come back again!

The symphony is incredibly skilled and it shows. Sometimes you forget you are listening to live people because the music is so perfect. The atmosphere is decidedly un-snooty, the staff is lovely. Everyone is here for the love of the music. I will definitely come here again. I pre-booked parking at the DCPA garage and its literally across the street, very handy!BTW, while the music is great in all seats, sometimes its hard to hear things being said on microphone because of the way the sound system points. Keep that in mind if you arent a straight shot out from the orchestra!

The symphony orchestra itself is great. Sadly, the design of Boettcher Concert Hall and some of its facilities were not made for human bodies. I literally have never sat in less comfortable seats. We were both suffering in lower back pain the entire time and eventually had to leave a bit early because it was such a struggle and balancing act. Ive sat in plenty of old movie theater seats of a similar style, and uncomfortable church pews, but none of them compare to the awful experience of these. It was distracting from the beautiful music. Before we even reached those seats, we were already commenting on how poorly designed the loose, wobbly sandstone tiles were for us walking in heels and wedges (just outside the entrance to the theater), and then in the womens restroom, the lighting and depth of the washroom mirrors made simple routine makeup reapplication difficult. Some architect out there really failed to consider the customers usage perspectives! We have season tickets, and my girlfriend has been experiencing and suffering these seats for years. It really makes going back a difficult situation to consider.

Really hoping the performing arts center makes an investment and tears this place down. The symphony deserves better than this venue. We went on a fun night, for Comic-Con themed music. The symphony looked like they were having a blast and the audience was loving the fun atmosphere. Unfortunately the acoustics are so poor that unless you get a great seat, you really are missing out on what the musicians have to offer the city.

Beautiful venue with good acoustics and a good angle of rise for seats so that everybody can see the stage. Seats were ok for comfort level (not great, not terrible).Due to the discounted kids tickets, its more likely than not that youll have some near you. The ones next to us werent particularly bad, but the constant fighting with their parents two seats over clashed a bit with the eloquence of the orchestra. The reason for 2 stars is there was little to no air conditioning and I was sweating the whole time - wasnt even wearing a sports jacket or something to make me hot. Will try going back once more to see if maybe it was a fluke that it was so hot, but if its hot again, the next time will be the last time. Note that I was on mezzanine 6, which is toward the upper part of the concert hall, which might have attributed to the heat. Not sure though since it was only 70-80 degrees outside so its not like their AC system would have had to work hard to keep a reasonable temperature. Will try orchestra 1 next time so Im as low as it gets ;)

It is a little difficult to get around the atrium and I wish there was a little more signage to help with where to go, but the people that work there are super helpful and friendly, not to mention there is a good number of them. They have added some additional drink stands that make refreshments quick to get and lines reasonable. The hall has a beautiful shape to it and a wonderful esthetic. The seats are comfortable and my knees dont hit the back of the seat in front of me. The musicianship is top notch and the conductor is very entertaining between sets of music.
