We really loved it despite the bugs and old everything! Haha the employees ate extremely nice and its like a step into nostalgia for sure. My son had a blast and park entry is only $4 a person, 13 dollars if you want unlimited ride wrist band. Worth it! The only thing I would change is the cigarette smoking throughout the park, I mean theres children everywhere! But, overall good fun for cheap price. And be ready for crazy parking on loose gravel.

Fun rides, and surprisingly decent food items to buy while there. The place looks kind of rundown, but its still got its charm factor. During the week gets you a very nice all-inclusive price, and kids will like the kiddie rides. My favorite part is they allow you to bring in food and have covered picnic tables to use.

This is by far my most favourite amusement park ive ever been to! It has such a unique aesthetic and I actually like it better than elitches. Lakeside is so nostalgic to me I would come here every summer. Definitely would come here on a date. Even though its an old place, It probably should be kept up a bit and cleaned but its rustic and old feeling contributes to the aesthetic.

Amazing place! Going to Lakeside is like going back in time to simpler days. Sure it needs a coat of paint and and a light bulb here and there, but that’s what makes it so magical. An original amusement park like our parents and grandparents experienced. Tons of history here. Cheap thrills and not usually crowded. The staff is great too. I lost my watch on the Cyclone and not one of them decided to pocket it, but kept it safe until I came looking for it later. Also, every time I’ve been here I see the elderly owner lady among the crowds making sure everyone has a good experience. Honestly Lakeside is one of my favorite places in the world.

We attend here every year with the younger children. Lakeside is awesome for toddlers where they can go from ride to ride and ride what they want. The small roller coaster is obviously a big hit. There are the larger rides for teenagers and adults which are old, but it adds to the nostalgia for adults and fun for the children. The park is decently kept up, but certainly shows wear and not always cleaned up after crowds. Food is actually affordable here so I dont feel that stress when out with our large family. The decor and symbols throughout the park should make this park a landmark if not already. There is a miniature train ride around the lake which makes for a nice break if the excitement gets to unbearable with the children.Ill add thanks to the honest patrons or staff that found my wallet which I was able to recover the next day.

Full of nostalgia, this is something worth experiencing at least once. It’s not super clean and the rides are old, but there was never a moment where anything felt unsafe. If you’re someone who loves typography, there are many old signs and plaques that are fun to see.Come on an off day to beat the crowds and prepare to spend 2-3 hours here.

Broken equipment piled up all over. That was kind of sad to see. The people were all very nice. I got some super cool pics for myself though because I loved the graveyard amusement park feel.

Step back in time to a vintage style amusement park smack dab in the heart of Denver... prices are low..and it is very family-friendly, however lots of small general maintenance items are being neglected. I Love Lakeside. As a Colorado native I have been coming here for almost 40 years. Its an affordable way to spend the day with the family. They are trying new a set up where you pay at the entrance instead inside the park, which I liked because It was more efficient. The rides and the park feel safe to me. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced. The lines are usually short even when the park is full. The best part is that history and the architecture.

I LOVE Lakeside Amusement Park! The ambiance is so calming and nostalgic as many of the buildings in the park are from the early 1900s. This also gives it an antique feel. There is also a diverse selection of rides from both older and younger kids. Plus, for how many rides there are, the unlimited rides pass is fairly cheap (I think its about $17.00).

Went on Memorial Day with my dad who is in a wheelchair at 97 years young. We spent 3 hours there and had a great time! We had a lunch in one of the many picnic areas, rode the merry go round ride, took the adult train ride around the lake (Loved the tunnel!), and watched other rides as we toured the park. Price is right and the cinnamon & sugar pretzels are fantastic. The employees are super helpful. Great place to enjoy a bit of the past and have some great fun.

Love this place, and its history. Although it is not remodeled or updated, i think thats perfect, you can still feel the nostalgia that this place has been carrying for years and years. It is cheap to get in, and people might not want to visit for that same reason, but to me is one of the cheapest museums in the city, really nice and interesting story behind it, take some time and do research on this place and you will be surprised of what this place has gone through. Really recommend for people to visit.

This is an old amusement park, and it shows for both good and bad. The good is that the rides are almost all historic, the prices are affordable, the crowds are minimal, and everything just feels comfortable and laid back. The bad is that everything is pretty rundown. Some old rides and skeletons of rides are just sitting in obvious disrepair. I would recommend going at night when the neon and lights conceal a lot of the wear and tear of the years. The Cyclone is a gem of a coaster and this park is worth visiting just for it. The kids boat ride with real water, and the bumper boats are both great.I hope that some day this park gets a rich benefactor to buy it and restore it to its former glory.

Though I currently live in Tucson, I grew up in the Denver area, and visiting Lakeside Amusement Park was a regular childhood experience. It is nostalgic for me to visit the park. I do miss the Star Ride and the opportunity to feed the fish, but I love riding the train. I also miss seeing the tower lit up at night, but I know that takes a lot of electricity. Lakeside Amusement Park offers wholesome entertainment for a reasonable price.

This place has been family owed for 100 years! It’s a good value for families with younger children. Just know, It’s getting a little run down and in desperate need of some TLC!! With that being said, it’s a great old nostalgic park, it’s really a night park, but it’s on the shore of lake Rhoda, and the lake keeps it cooler throughout the day. The food is reasonably priced, as far as attractions prices go. Picnics, coolers and such are always welcome and there are picnics area are everywhere. A great place for birthday parties and family reunions! The wooden rollercoaster is Awesome. They still have tickets for rides or you can buy wristbands for unlimited riding.

Visited this place for an evening while we were in town. Time definitely forgot this place about 40 years ago if not longer. It was cool for the historic aspect and the rides were fun. Didnt eat any food there. Some of the patrons appeared questionable, so Ill just say keep a close watch on the kiddos. Take the 13.5 minute train ride around the lake and enjoy the view of what was.

Great place to take the kids. This is a older park, so there arent any new fangled rides. The food is very reasonably priced, the nachos were good, the pizza looked delicious, but the hamburger we had tasted like old dust. There is also a picnic area near the kids rides where you can bring your own food and just hang out. Over all this is a good place to have a good time on a smaller budget.

You dont necessarily come here for thrill rides, but for the ambience. Natives of Colorado love this place because it takes us back to our childhood. My biggest complaint was that there were quite a few rides not running, including the new roller coaster and the Tilt-a-whirl. The foos is TERRIBLE. DONT EAT HERE. The prices are fair though and its fun for small children or for something to do for a couple of hours. I wish they would put some money into the place and bring back some of its luster. Its a gem under the dirt...and there is so much garbage that really just needs to be hauled away. I know locals would come out to help get it back in nicer shape. I wish they would bring back the speed boats and do something with the race track.
