It was a different experience. Two different kinds of teas & sample foods of the 1800s. 4 girls in the dresses of the time frame. Very informative about what Christmas would have been like.

A great place with just a bit of Dayton history attached. You can do a larger wedding outside under the tent and get married in the Gazebo or you can have a smaller party inside. They also host historic tea parties here.

Great historic home. Brick Walkway leading up to house needs to be evaluated to make it safer for elderly to walk up and down. A handrail would be nice.

The folks at Dayton Historical Society, and Patterson Homestead, saved us! When our wedding site across town fell through, these saviors cut us a deal, arranged it all with our existing vendors, and did all the work to rent a tent and decor. Which was fortunate, because we had to leave town for pre-scheduled vacation. On the day of the event, they were on-site to lend a hand and make sure things just worked. It rained, but they had the solution. We needed more electricity - no problem.I would recommend this site for any event you want to be beautiful, memorable, fun, and easy.

We were visiting Dayton and stopped by the Patterson Homestead as the google site says open 10-4 daily. We were so excited to tour the Home. After paying for an Uber to take us across town, we find all doors locked and no information about the hours open. We then called the number on the website. The woman who answered the phone acted as though we were stupid to not know I️t was by appointment only. Leaving Dayton disappointed.

Coming up a Victorian tea 29 October. This museum is the remains of the Pattersons homestead. Mr Patterson was the founder of National Cash Register (NCR). The cash register was major in ensuring that cash was accurately accounted for. NCR was also major in the development of the modern computer. Their top salesman was the founder of IBM. Although their sales techniques were perhaps overly aggressive by todays standards and did result in legal challenges. Nonetheless, Mr. Patterson cleared his name and kept NCR in large measure by assisting Dayton OH residents after the great flood. After this good deed all legal charges were dropped. Many more exciting details will be revealed!
