A fascinating panoramic view from the top of the hill to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. You can watch planes take off and land at WPAFB. There are many large oak trees. Really quiet and peaceful for picnic.

Very nice place aesthetically. Nicely kept grounds. Respectful memorial to the fathers of flight. Would be a very nice place for a family picnic, or even a picnic for two. Wonderful vistas. For a small interpretative center it was extremely informative. There is a lot of information well presented. A hidden gem in Dayton Ohio. Dont miss this!

This park isnt big, but I really like it. My family used to come here when I was young. If you go all the way to the back, theres a wall you can sit on and watch planes take off and land at Wright Patt. There are many large oak trees trust are dropping acorns like crazy right now. There is also a nice little museum which is currently closed.

The memorial itself is impressive, and its location on top of a hill makes it a wonderful place for plane-spotting in the area. The commanding view gives you nice views of the Dayton area too. The informational placards were interesting. This is a part of the overall aviation heritage trail in the greater area and totally worth a visit. Worth mentioning too that the park was spotless, and I mean SPOTLESS. The parties responsible for the upkeep of this park are on point.

Its a fantastic memorial park. However, it needs more sidewalks and footpaths and maybe a shelter as well. Ive been here a few times when it rained and I think it needs a shelter.

Aviation bluffs will appreciate the value of this historical spot. Words cannot describe the breathtaking view of the Air Force base and surrounding area. Plenty of plaques in the area to get a quick history but the museum next door is worth a trip inside, with historical artifacts, movies and displays to give you a taste of what the area has to offer visitors. The nearby Air Force museum should round out your day too!

I would not consider this place a must see. But it is worth visiting. If you are not going to make the short drive to the Huffman Prairie, then consider visiting the memorial insteadThere is a very nice overview of the surrounding area a well as another great museum about the Wright Brothers. If course, this one focuses on their time spent experimenting at the prairie field.

Love this place cause of the awesome ancient burial mounds, nice view and in the right season, mystic one-with-nature feeling! The memorial itself goes well with all this and memorializes the Indians as well. The museum is quaint but surprisingly full with a staff ready and willing to help!

What a great spot. When we stopped the interpretative center was closed but we were able to explore the entirety of the memorial and grounds. I wish I lived closer just to be able to visit. An expansive grassy area with picnic tables and lots of trees. The overlook area and path is loose gravel which might be difficult for some people. At the overlook there are plaques explaining what is viewable and where those things are.

A nice hilltop memorial, featuring several signs around the perimeter of the spire. The signs point to various areas of significance, including a couple ancient mound builder sites. An overlook of the Huffman Dam, Huffman Prairie, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is also a neat little spot. Be sure to visit the good folks running the Dayton Aviation Heritage Nat. Historical Park visitor center that is also on this hill.
