Great park. No swimming here but boats and water sports allowed. Also I did not find toilets only port a potties. Lots of trails and places to explore on foot or bikes. Dogs allowed on leashes. It was busy but there was enough space everyone had thier own spots. Parking was easy. One road in and one road out. Couple boat docks. Plenty of picnic spots tables and BBQ spots. Worth going back. Accessible parking spots. there are not any toilets that I was aware of. Maybe someone else knows. Lol. Free to enter, park and launch.

Ive lived in DFW for almost 10 years at this point and i had never been to White Rock somehow. It was very pretty, loads of fall colors. Great paved paths, tons of trees, plenty of room to stay away from people (pandemic). I definitely recommend walking here.

Great lake park for walking and biking and picnic and water canoeing and paddling. Got a dog park too. The entire lake border can be walked. Mostly scenic and busy in the west and north and south of the lake. East side good for picnic.

Great by place to visit for watching sunset by the lake. Definitely beautiful site in Dallas, for those who think Dallas has nothing to offer in terms of water parks and lakes. We did a little grilling using the grill station and picnic tables provided. It was a beautiful relaxing evening for us.Weekend was very much crowded so I suggest you picking a better time. There are kayaks available for rent. And a dog park on the side.

Absolutely my favorite place to walk in the DFW metroplex. The lake is enormous and the different areas to see are very nice.I only dont like how much trash is here. Bless those people who work so hard to pick it up. The bicyclers sometimes really aggressive and I dont think theyre racing.

I like White Rock lake Park mostly as I use White Rock lake as a route for cycling and exercise. While riding around the lake you see a lot of small groups and couples sitting out and relaxing by the lake, and sometimes there are small parties using the outdoor grills and having a nice cookout. I selfishly enjoy the smell of the cookout as I ride by haha. There are some covered pavilions and also stations for water activity like kayaking if thats something youre looking for although Ive never done it.

I was with my wife and we decided to go for walk at White Rock its not the first time. It was a beautiful day and we practically had the park for ourselves. Looks like on Tuesday not many people come in the morning to walk, run, ride a bike or take their dog out for a walk. We were their for about 3.5 hrs. We had a small picnic and enjoyed being away from the house for a while. Its great to this. I recommend it.

White Rock Lake Park is a jewel of nature set in the middle of Dallas. There are numerous biking, hiking and walking trails around the lake. The primary trail that circles to Lake is approximately 9 miles long. There are covered Pavilions and picnic tables along with several playground areas surrounding the Lake. On a daily basis you can see Ducks, geese, pigeons, herons, and Pelicans. There are enough forested areas left that on occasion you can see other wildlife, such as coyotes, armadillos, possums, raccoons and Hawks. Its a great place to go for a leisurely walk, a vigorous bicycle ride or just the occasion to get closer to Nature.

One of the best lake in dallas! We went there after reading too many good reviews and found this place very good. This lake is a complete package; great trail for biking and hiking. Lots of good spots for fishing bass and catfish, picnic areas and benches. If you want something really close to water just take you chairs and you can sit under the trees. Grills are there , also love the little play area for kiddos.

Although you can find trash alongside the water in some parts of the park, thats not the parks fault, so Im still giving it 5 stars because I find it peaceful to walk while pushing my toddler and baby in the stroller and sipping on coffee... and looking at the water... listening to the birds, finding turtles...

Its large park, with a very dirty lake thats popular for fishing, spot for dogs to go for a swim (although for safety reasons Id really avoid that), There is a dog park and a other features. In all its not a bad park. Normally somewhat kept up by the city and lots of volunteers.

Gorgeous place. I wish the City of Dallas would give this area some more love... as in money! It could be so much more than the faded glory it is today. We need thoughtfully designed trails with dedicated bike and pedestrian lanes. White Rock should be an incredible urban resource but it’s slowly decaying. Plenty of room for everyone here but watch out for aggressive bicyclists. Shabby chic nice!

I love white rock but even though there are jogging/walking trails, people still walk and jog on the road thats meant for cars and make it hard to get around the lake. You can be behind a Whole family of walkers for 5 minutes till they finally notice you or just feel like scooting over. It would also be nice if each picnic table or grassy area was assigned a nice size social distancing area, signs and everything, people would respect it more if it was something the park enforced.
