I like starting here especially heading east. If your are going west the Rambo trailhead is best.

Great park to join Silver Comet Trail. Ample parking and clean restrooms. Park is dedicated to a fallen officer, and includes a touching memorial. At this point, youre ~20 miles from the start of the Silver Comet Trail. Heading South, there are 7 road crossings to the start.

This is the last big trailhead westbound until Rockmart. There is a small park dedicated to a fallen police officer, with a fountain and butterfly garden.

Nice stop for cycling. Exactly 20 miles out and back to/from the linear park. Water fountains have never worked in my experience, but there are sinks in the restrooms.

One of the nicer trailheads with lots of parking and functioning bathrooms. The bathroom is close to the trail and people often go flying past so just be careful approaching the trail from the bathroom door side of the building.

Plenty of seating when you need to rest those legs. The restrooms are open and mostly clean, but be prepared ladies with cleaning supplies, things do get a bit messy. The water pressure isnt great for washing hands during COVID-19, so have a plan.

It has benches to rest, parking and restrooms and clean. Only issue is sometimes, depending on when you go, restrooms can be under stocked but luckily that is not often.

Best place to start on the trail only 10 miles to the singing brushy mountain tunnel then 3 more to step back in time @Coots Lake and visit 1955

This is a beautiful, very well kept trailhead honoring the memory of a wonderful young woman whose life ended much too soon. This trail area is almost all shaded so its a terrific place for family walks (and more) in our hot summer months especially!

This is a nice parking spot for Silver Comet Trail access. It has sufficient parking, benches, and shade, with restrooms. However, bring water as the water fountain is turned off and be careful entering the trail. Sight lines are blocked by bushes on one side and the restroom building on the other.

Its a good rest stop. The biggest issue is the water fountain in front of the building isnt turned on. The one be hind the building works, but sometimes has low water pressure.

I found this to be a great access and starting location for the Silver Comet Trail if youre up in this neck of the woods. The memorials to Tara Drummond are kept up well and make this an interesting stop all on their own. I went both north and south of this location. There is good shade well-maintained Trail and awesome scenery

Love to stop here for a quick rest. This is my 16 & 1/2 mile turn around point when riding the Silver Comet trail from Rockmart to Dallas GA. Making for a 33 mile ride, great exercise and fresh air. The Silver Comet Trail is one of the best things about living in Georgia. This would have been a FIVE star posting for the Tara Drummon trail head, but more often than not the toilets at this Piedmont county stop will not flush and back up. Not a nice thing, but still a great place to rest for a while when making a long day of cycling.
