The Cottonwood Community Clubhouse was an incredible project in the late 1930s. The ubhouse was recently restored inside with CDBG Block Grant funding. Much of the funding went into new mechanical HVAC equipment and fire sprinkler systems throughout. Amazing historical building renovation project. It will be open for use involving wedding venues, wine events, Old Town programs, special civic meetings and recreation programs and theatrical performances from the Missoula Childrens Theater.

I happen to see this building across the street from Larrys Antiques so I walked over there. Its all closed up but the marker on the building shows built in 1939 and you can see the the 4 WPA Markers in the steps. The WPA stands for Work Progress Administration which was part of the American New Deal agency. I would love to see this building opened and used as a museum since most people dont know about the WPA program.
